It was an all-out cheat day for me.  I ate 3 days worth of food in one day, close to 5000 calories!  I started with a huge breakfast (5 waffles topped with blueberries, honey, and peanut butter, then some eggs and bacons).  For lunch, I had szechuan shrimps, brown rice, 2 pita breads spread with honey almond cream cheese, handful of nuts, a fruit cup, and some applesauce.  For an afternoon snack, I had a cup of milk coffee, some homemade palmiers, a cup of cereal, and more nuts.   For dinner, I had 9 oz. broiled beef short ribs, some shredded pork, lots of brown rice, and sliced cucumbers.  Then to finish off the day, 2 homemade brownies.  Throughout the whole day, I think I drank more than a gallon of water.  It was crazy and I probably will never eat that much again.  This morning I did some damage control and did some HIIT on the track field.

Day 69 accomplished!  I ate dinner a little early today, but otherwise followed through with my meal plan.  It seems like for the past couple of days, I've been struggling with temptations.  Each day is a battle with my inner binge demon.  Sometimes I find myself this close to losing, but I always manage to save myself.   I have a feeling that very soon I might give in and lose, but I really do not want that day to come.  However, I don't know how long I can last if I keep on struggling like this everyday.  I know struggling is part of recovery.  It means I still have something to lose, but I feel like I'm this close to binging.  This wasn't the best week for me, but I hope that next week will be better and a little bit easier.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: toast, bacons, cottage cheese, egg whites

s: fiber one, banana

l: tuna wrap with spinach and tomatoes

s: rice pudding, canned fruits

d: leftover beef salsa burrito

Day 68 accomplished!  I followed my meal plan to the 't' today.  Although I had several thoughts of eating this and that, I didn't cave in.  I'm also proud of the fact that I woke up at 7am and went to the gym.  This gym isn't the regular one I go to, but since the other one is closed, I had no choice.  I do not like going to this gym because there are way too many people and I typically uncomfortable working out in front of people, but I sucked it up and went anyway.  I'm really proud of that.

pokeylvr - How are you doing?  I hope you can hang in there and get through the first couple of days.  How about setting some small goals?  Instead of thinking long term, trying going 2-3 days binge-free.  Good luck!

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, bacons

s: fiber one, banana

l: leftover szechuan shrimps, brown rice

s: rice pudding, canned fruits

d: beef salsa burrito

Day 67 accomplished!  Again, strayed off my meal plan.  I ate 500 more calories than what I alloted for myself, but I wouldn't call it a binge.  I would say I overate today, but not to the point of feeling guilty and sick to the stomach.  More like slightly uncomfortable.  It could've been worse.  This afternoon, I felt like I was seriously in a binge mode, but I held myself accountable and ate reasonably.  After my scheduled lunch, I was still hungry, so I ate a bowl of cereal and some crackers with brie.   The brie and crackers are what put me over my calorie limit.  Then for dinner, I had my scheduled meal and was in the process of popping jalapeno poppers in the oven and decided that if I were to eat the poppers, I was going to be way over my limit, which would bring on the guilt and subsequently an all out binge.  Therefore, I threw the poppers in the trashcan and told myself enough was enough.  My stomach was full and there was no reason for me to eat anymore.  So I went to brush my teeth and now I'm here.   Thank goodness.  Whenever the binge mood strike, I find it really difficult to fight it.  Although I remind myself of my goals and how it would make me feel afterwards, when I'm in that mood, it's hard to stop myself.  But at least I'm gradually making progress.  I'm learning how to listen to my body.  When my stomach starts to feel full, I know that eating another bite will be counterproductive to my recovery.   One day, I will get the hang of this.  As of right now, I'm just going to take it day by day.  I'm so close to 75 days.  It's a struggle, but I have to keep fighting.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, bacons

s: fiber one, banana

l: brown rice, chicken dumplings, steamed cabbage

s: rice pudding, canned fruit

d: brown rice, stir-fry szechuan shrimps

Day 66 accomplished!  This is the second day in a row that I went off my meal plan, but still within my caloric range.  I'm done with finals!  I was so happy that I came home and baked myself a pumpkin pie.  I already ate 3 slices.  Total damage is around 500 calories.  Not bad at all.  I almost felt the urge to eat the whole pie or at least a 4th slice, but I stopped myself and went to brush my teeth.  I'm glad I did because had I ate another slice, I would've seriously counted today as a binge.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, bacons

s: persimmon, Fiber one

l: brown rice, pork leek buns, steamed cabbage

s: pumpkin pie, rice pudding

d: leftover beef salsa burrito

Day 65 accomplished!  I strayed from my meal plan a bit, but I was still within my caloric range, so it's all good.  I have my last final tomorrow in the afternoon.  I'm seriously dreading it, but as of this moment, I just want to get it over with.  I really do.  I'm done with this semester.  I want my winter break now.  Anyway, I have 10 more days until I reach my third mini-goal of 75 days binge-free.  I think I can do it, but it's going to take some serious dedication on my part.  I really want to reach 100 days.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, bacons, toast

s: banana, Fiber one

Day 64 accomplished!  I can't believe I hit the gym on my birthday.  Now, there's no excuse for me to miss the gym any other day.  I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday this year.  It was very low key.  I ate a brownie with lots of sweet toppings.  I love brownies.  Now, it's back to work.  I'm very proud of myself today because I accomplished two of my goals.  One of them was to go binge-free up until my birthday.  The other was to weigh 130 by the time my birthday came.  I stepped on the scale this morning and was ecstatic to see that I was 130.8.  I'll take the .8, I don't even care.  I haven't weighed below 131 since September 2006.  This is quite an accomplishment, considering that I'm also in the process of recovering from BED.  I'm 2.8 pounds from my ultimate goal weight.  This is the time for me to really focus and give it my all.  I can almost see the finish line.  I just to get there.  For once, I'm going to follow through with my plan.  For once.

Kellybb - Thanks for the support.  I hope you get through those first three days.  Remember, the first four days are the hardest.  Once you get past that and get into the hang of things, it'll get easier.  Keep trying.  You will succeed eventually.  If you need any advice or support, feel free message me.  Good luck!

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: toast, cottage cheese, egg whites, bacons

s: asian pear, fiber one

l: leftover salmon sandwich, sweet potato fries

Day 62 accomplished!  Today, I did interval training on the treadmill.  It took me less than 30 minutes (including warm-up and cool-down), but I was sweating a lot.  I hate doing intervals, but the feeling afterwards works just like a drug.  It keeps me coming back for more.  Anyway, I'm halfway through the weekend.  I just need to get through Sunday.  I know I can do this.  I didn't come here for 62 days just to fail on the last stretch of the race.  It's going to be worth.  I know it.  I have to believe it.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, bacons

Day 61 accomplished!  I went to see Mark Morris' "The Hard Nut" today.  I don't think I like it very much.  It was good, but it wasn't my cup of tea.  Anyway, two more days until my birthday.  I am totally going to celebrate, albeit in a very low key way.  One of the goals I set for myself was to stay binge-free up until my birthday.  I'm two days away from accomplishing that.  Of course, I'm going to try and reach 100 days too!  For my birthday, I'm going to bake some brownies from scratch and eat them with sliced bananas, caramel, powdered sugar, and milk.  I'm really excited.  Birthdays come only once a year, so I'm totally going to enjoy it.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, turkey bacon

s: Asian pear, Fiber one, banana

l: chicken salsa burrito

s: persimmon, rice pudding

Day 60 accomplished!  15 more days until I reach my third mini-goal of 75 days binge-free.  You would think that 60 days would make this battle easier, but I still feel like I can slip any minute.  I'm not sure if this feeling will ever go away even if I do reach 100 days.   I have to be conscious of what I put into my mouth at all time.  An extra bite of this or that can easily trip me over.  I'm glad I made it to 60 days, but I know I have a long way to go and a lot more to learn about myself and my relationship with food.  I hope that each binge-free day makes me stronger and more in control of my food intake.  One day at a time.  One day at a time.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, turkey bacon

s: persimmon, Fiber One, rice pudding

Day 58 accomplished!  I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm doing okay.  I felt the urge to binge a couple of times in the last three days (today included), but I held myself accountable and didn't go overboard.  For example, yesterday I was really craving for some cereal, so I ate about 3 cups of honey bunches of oats, but I didn't feel too guilty because I incorporated it into my meal plan beforehand.  The cereal took me over my calorie intake by about 200, but I guess it'll all average out by the end of the week, so long as I follow my meal plan through and through.  Last week, I ate an average of 1520/day and lost 1 pound.  This week, I plan to eat around 1550/day and see if I could still lose between .5 to 1 pound.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: egg whites, cottage cheese, toast, turkey bacon

s: fiber one, asian pear

l: garlic calamari spaghetti

s: homemade pumpkin bread, rice pudding

d: brown rice, roasted chicken breast, cornbread stuffing

Day 52 accomplished!  I ate around 1500 calories today.  I think 1400-1600 calories is just right for me.  I'm currently experimenting to see how many calories I can eat and still lose weight (albeit slowly).  So far, I know I can eat around 1460 and still drop some pounds.  This week, I'm trying to see if I can lose around 1550.  We'll see.  If I gain weight, I'll probably increase my exercise.  Ever since I started this challenge, I have lost a total of 5.4lbs in 7 weeks.  To me, that's pretty good since I have a very SLOW metabolism.  I'm looking to lose another 5lbs by February.  I think I can do it, so long as I stick to my exercise plan, eat healthy, and remain binge-free.  Tomorrow, I'm going to make some bread rolls and dip them in coffee.  It will be my first time making bread, so I look forward to it.  The weekend is almost here, so good luck!

Meal plan for tomorrow:

b: turkey bacons, toast, cottage cheese

Day 49 accomplished!  I made cinnamon bagels yesterday and they're so good and much healthier than store bought bagels for sure.  My bagels are whole wheat, no egg, no oil, and only 130 calories a piece.  I made six and I already ate two, one yesterday and one today.  The rest will last me until Thursday.  I eat them as a snack between lunch and dinner.  They're so delicious.  If anyone wants the recipe, just ask me.  I feel like I lost some weight this week, but I don't know for sure until I weigh in tomorrow morning.  It's kind of sad, though, because whenever I feel like I lost some weight, the opposite happens.  I gain weight instead.  Then, when I feel like I put on a pound of two, I end up losing.  Hopefully, this week is different.  I already gained 2 lbs. last week, so if I gain more, I'm blaming it on ttotm since I know I did not go over my caloric intake.  This past week I averaged 1465/day.  This week, I plan to average between 1500-1550/day.  Yes, I'm increasing my caloric intake, only because I feel that if I eat any lower than 1400, I'm just setting myself up for a relapse.  I want to continue with this healthy lifestyle for as long as I can, at least for 6 months.  If I gain weight next week, then I'll probably decrease it back to 1450 and increase my exercise.

pokeylvr -Welcome to the challenge!  I feel so lonely doing this challenge all by myself, so I'm glad you're joining.  I'm here if you need any help.  Good luck!

Day 48 accomplished!  I now know why I wanted to binge for the past 5 days.  It's because ttotm is here.  I suspected that was the case, but now I am 100% sure.  In a way, it's pleases me that my wanting to binge was not because I was lacking mental discipline, but because my body habitually craves more food a week before ttotm.   I'm glad that I made it through the second month without throwing in the towel.  Two more days until I reach the big 50!

Meal plan for tomorrow:

Day 47 accomplished!  Today was better than yesterday, although I did eat one thing that wasn't on my schedule, but it was healthy and I was still within my caloric range.  The urge to binge is still with me.  It's usually around 2-4pm that I just want to eat.  I would open and close the cupboards so many times it's ridiculous.  In the end, I didn't give in.  Instead, I ate dinner early and then brushed my teeth.  Now, I'm okay.  It's been like this for the last three days, including today.  It feels like week one all over again.  I have a lot of homework to do this weekend, so hopefully I can keep myself focus and get it done.  The semester is almost over.  Just one more week.  If I can survive next week, I'm home free.

Meal plan for tomorrow:

s: apple, Fiber One

l: Hawaiian pizza, 1/2 banana
