Yesterday: B: 2 scrambled eggs with 2 slices ham on a roll with 2 tbsp ketchup and coffee with milk L: 16oz chicken soup and 4oz fruit S: 7oz fresh vegetables with 1 tbsp light dressing D: Big salad with 1 tbsp ranch dressing, 0.5 bagel with american cheese, 0.5 cup rice pudding S2: (that's where I blew it completely.. and I was doing so good): 1 tbsp salsa with a few whole wheat chips and 2 pcs dark chocolate

Maybe this is a better group for me. I would like to join. Stats: 5.3", 129lb ( 1 down from Saturday... but still far from goal). Natural unsalted peanut butter (from the jar)... Chocolate, even if it is semisweet for baking or whatever kind... organic or not, milk or extra extra dark if it exists around me... is gone in seconds cookies (oreo or any kind) blueberries (I know they're not bad, but if you know how much i could eat... they could be bad...) bagel with butter, or with ham and cheese, or cream cheese or jsut plain bagel ice cream-any kind, any flavor nuts, usually eat them natural and unsalted but it doesn't matter because I could eat a lb in one seating, easily |

I am 29, 5.3 and 128 lbs. I used to work out everyday but the last 2 months I haven't because I wanted to get used to eat less since working out was making me extremelly hungry. Anyway I have a sitting job and I eat about 1450 cal a day and I lose about 1 lb a week. My advise? Try to eat a little more, more vegetables and fruit, skim milk, lean meats and I think you'll see difference. Something else that I have done that really makes the difference is what type of food i eat now. I used to eat the same calories (i swear, i was so carefull) but bagels, chocolate, candy, fatty foods and I couldn't lose even when I was starving but I with the same calories... Now I eat a lot of veggies and fruit (don't listen to people that they contain sugar... is still better than white bread and cheddar) and that makes the difference. So yes, I think you eat too little. |

Everything was said!! I totaly agree and you should just try that. Put it this way: Since you already don't eat enough during the day is going to be easy for you to have only two meals and then the Ensure on top where is difficult to eat 3 good meals and at least 2 good snacks during a day. Sorry but you really have to try the hard way to see results. Same thing when somebody is trying to lose has to go with the hard way and eat right, you should start and try eat more and right. |

I am from Greece and I always recommend the islands specially if you're getting married in the summer, but I went to Tahiti for mine, to Bora Bora and I was amazed. I love Greece but I don't regret my honeymoon choice. That was a true honeymoon place. The only downfault was that is full of honeymooners that don't really looking forward to interact with other people and it can be boring at night specially if you're used to sleep late like me and my husband do..., everything closes around 10 except very few places, no places with music to dance but there's so many things to do during the day that I guess is ok... is honeymoon after all... |

To my experience and knowledge is ok to exercise everyday even if your muscles are sore. Soreness is good-means that you put your muscles to work Check if the DVD you got has any other workout program that targets other muscles than butt and thighs. Maybe work on your upper body and abs more today. But don't worry about the pain. Unless is join pain and you should really be very carefull, any other is a good thing. Also don't forget to warm up before and strech after your workouts. Good for you!! Keep it up |

I was not able to weight myself yesterday so I am posting today instead. 128.2 today. Not a big difference but I had an extreme cheeting night on Tuesday and messed up everything. I guess these things happen though that's why we're all here. Talk to you next week |

I was so happy when I saw this topic. I've come accross the same problem. I have 20 lbs to lose and after 5 lbs loss the first 2 weeks I have hit plataeu this last week. I am also seeing a nutritionist only for that reason. I was always starting dieting on my own and wanted to lose 5 lbs a week or some ridiculous amounts and ofcourse after the first few weeks that my body would starve or after a regular dinner (not even overeating) my weight would bounce back and I used to get so discouraged that I was always stopping my efforts. Now the nutritionist yells at me when she sees on my food log that some day I haven't eaten as much or that I have used coffee as snack when the afternoon hungries hit. She has told me to eat every time I'm hungry but always the right portions. Is good that the body is asking for food and we should give some to it but not in a form of chocolate or frappucinos or cookies. Anyway, my point is that I am going through a plateau right now and I do get discouraged a little but I won't give up this time. I have my next appointment in 3 weeks and she also wants me to lose no more than 2 lbs by then. Oh yes, is a long process but the results are worth every second and every craving of the world. Congratulations to all of you for how far have come. Keep it up |

Hey! Here I am. I am not doing good at all lately. Again I haven't step on the scale. I am not up to it because I know I will get very dissapointed. When it was TTOM time I was blaming that for not losing but now I don't know what to do. I have nothing to blame on my NOT-weight loss except myself. I haven't gone to the gym 2 weeks now and next week I'll be on vacation so definetely I'm not going either. I feel more fat than ever and the more I think I have to lose the more I eat. I am hungry all the time. Congrats to all of you. Keep it up-you're doing great. Who knows maybe I'll come to my senses too one of these days and I'll start seriously to diet. On the other hand I don't want to get out of the group because I need a support. I know that I have to try harder. I hope I'll manage and the weight will start coming off slowly. I was thinking to let it go until I come back from my vacation next Tuesday and weigh myself that day and start from there. I am scared that if I keep thinking of it I will not stop eating and I'll be miserable the same time. Any thoughts? |

I'm not doing great great but not bad either. I had too many parties this weekend (again, arg) and ate a lot. I have to say I controled myself many times and I would have done so much worse but for all the food that was going on I did OK. Friday I went to my sister's in law and the whole family was there of course and had a big celebration so ate salad and then destroyed it with cake and sweets over coffee. Saturday I had a pool party at the other cousins house and had catered food so I had chicken parm and penne with vodka sauce. I have to say I so enjoyed it. I didn't have that kind of food for the longest time. I ate a little less but I had both, plus two beers, a mike's hard lemonade a piece of ice cream cake and a piece of apple pie. Wow when I have to list everything looks a lot. Anyway, yesterday my husband wanted to go for breakfast out (second Sunday in a raw) and had an egg white omelette with everything and ketchup on top (I love ketchup with my eggs) and then to my in-laws for luch where I didn't eat too much but later I with coffee I had fruit salad and around 10 pm before bed two huge bowls of salad with light italian dressing. Unfortunately my weekends are all about food and I love it. I wish I could say no some times but I'm not that kind of person. Hope everybody is doing good and definetely better than me. See you! |

128.2 this morning. I really thought I would have done better but nooooooo. Anyway this is 2.2 lbs from my starting weight. It's better than nothing but I'm not too happy with it. I guess I always overestimate when it comes to weight loss. I do that to myself all the time. I wake up thinking "i am down 2 lbs because I did so good" and when I weigh myself of course i'm not 2 lbs down but 0.5 rather, and I get dissapointed. I do know better but I want that weight loss to happen yesterday and I hate that is going so slow. Sooooo slow. Sorry I vent again. It really helps me to go through this. Thank you everybody. Oh yeah, there is the Bodies exchibition here in NY too. I wanted to go with my husband but we haven't gotten the chance yet. Is true that all bodies are from real people and specifically they're all from Asian people. Some organization or something like that donated them. I also read a couple of stories from people and specially (ex-) smokers like me that after they saw the size of the lungs and other organs made them quit smoking etc. I should really visit this thing. So have a lot of fun and I hope is not too gross! |

Good morning! I am sorry I haven't update my weight and I haven't really post anything lately but I had some emotional "situation" and I binged from Wednesday all the way through Saturday. Unfortunatelly I am an emotional eater and I can't control myself when something in my life is going totaly wrong and there is not much I could do. Anyway I haven't gone on the scale either but I know that I have gained a bit. I got better yesterday but after all the excess eating I am so bloated that is not even funny. And I was doing so good... I went to the gym though and let me tell you with all the food and the sweets I had so much energy to exercise! I guess that was the only good out of the situation which is yet to be solved. Anyway I am kind back on track but not really. Yesterday i did better but that was because I started an old bad habit: smoking. I am strangling with those extra few lbs because I had quit smoking and I had replaced it with eating and yesterday I replaced the eating with smoking. So I stayed in my calorie limit but I have to add a pack of nicotine. Loser either way basically. Which should I choose? |

I hope Saturday was my cheat day. Again same old story. Even if I didn't eat too badly ( this time a little better without sweets either) I ate all my calories within 6 hrs. In the morning after I woke up I had a huge breakfast and then again around 3 pm I was strarving so I ate my lunch then. I overate so I had a small salad for dinner and that it was. Oh no I got hungry at night (hubby and I were watching a movie) so I had some diet coke. Sunday a little better. Bagel w/ low fat cc for breakfast and a bean salad with tuna and two tbsp mayo for lunch. Some watermelon in the afternoon and again for evening a few cherries and two more pieces of watermellon. I am still bloated and in pain today and finally TTOM arrived. I hope by Thursday all the bloating and the water weight will go bye bye and show some progress. Crossing my fingers. Keep it up!! I am down to 128.6 and still bloated that's why I won't cry too much about it. The scale moved even with my PMS and bloating so I guess I'm happy. I would love to see better results but little by little. I am sorry but I have to go-lots of work today. I'll talk to you later and good luck to everyone. |

Hello, hello! Everybody is doing so great in this challenge!- except me of course. Starbuck1123 I am sorry to hear that but I have the same exactly problem so I don't feel alone now. I am so bloated and I can't go...(sorry for the too much info) - I do drink a lot of water and ate prety healthy yesterday and today. I really really think was the Monday's lassagna. My body is taking revenge now-is horrible. I am also PMSing and my "girls" are huge and then you're talking about pregnant looking-you should see me. I can't even breatha and my button on my shirt is about to pop. Let's see how long is going to go.... Anyway I can already say that tomorrow the scale is not going to be kind to me but hopefully will make me try harder. Talk to later. |

Goodmorning, I am ok. Just ok. I had a bad day yesterday. I was in such a bad mood. I didn't feel like going to the gym and my eating was just horrible. I didn't eat more than my calorie limit but I had no vegetables or fruit or milk or anything good. All day I just ate one thing only. Lasagna-for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gosh! It even sounds horrible. Anyway around 5.30pm I had some for dinner and then suddenly my stomach I think just gave up. I got bloated and I was in pain. What did I expect? I had no fiber or anything else to help my diggestive system at all. Since I didn't go to the gym I went to the city "shopping". I didn't buy anything I just didn't want to go home and crush in the couch. So I walked around the stores for about 1.5 hrs and then I went home around 9.30pm, I had a piece of pork loin, 1/2 boiled carrot and a piece of cabbage and I went to bed. I hope today is better even if started bad again with pastries for breakfast but at least I had some oatmeal. Hope everybody else did better than me. I am really scared for weight day-plus it is TTOM time!! Laters! |

Same for me dohdan... I was 129 on Thursday and I won't weight myself until next Thursday. I better wait a whole week to see the difference. By the way I didn't weight myself for about a month. I was eating like crazy and I got scared. I finally went on the scale on Thursday so now I know where I'm standing.... Talk to you later |
