no offence, but that's a horrible breakfast. for breakfast try things like egg-white omelettes, oatmeal, highfiber cereal (all bran, fiber1, and miniwheats still taste good), whole wheat bread toasted with some reduced-fat pb, etc. no cookies PLEASE. |

in summer, around the end of july i'd already had anorexia problems but when my boyfriend of 3 months dumped me i really went weight-loss-crazy and took a full bottle of laxatives over a 1.5 week period. i was at my mom's boyfriend's cottage and i'd binge, purge, take 20 metamucils all at once and.. you know, and when i got home, i was 3 lbs lighter. and believe me, that ego boost did more harm than good. after the bottle was gone i snuck to the store and bought some liquid laxatives, but the taste was so awful i took it and instantly vomited my guts out. then i took all my mother's fiber pills, and now she hides them. |

um, today i ate a bowl of all bran, a bowl of mini wheats, a BOWL of shredded cheese, a BOWL of marshmallows, tons of pretzels, parmesan cheese, apricots, cheesestrings, carrots, dry hot chocolate mix, oatmeal, milk, bread, butter, some stale fudge, a mini coffee crisp and about 1/2 jar of peanut butter and then a giant dairymilk bar. and i'm not including breakfast, lunch or dinner. mine was about 2000 calories and probably more, i wish it was only 600. :( i think i consumed around 3500-4000 calories today. |: relax, it could have been worse, y'know? |

my breakfast usually adds up to half of my daily caloric intake, i love big breakfasts. plus, i usually eat breakfast at about 4-5 am (insomniac, don't ask) and it keeps me full until lunchtime usually (lunch is at 11:30 am). like they say: eat like a king at breakfast, a princess at lunch, and a poor man at dinner. |

can't you just GET more calcium? a glass of milk? some yogurt? a slice of cheese? etc. i buy a brand of milk called trucalcium that has 33% more calcium than the average cup of milk (40% of your DV to be exact) and it comes in skim, 1%, 2%, etc. and it is also microfiltered. |

| i don't know the exact amount in grams, but it should be about 15-20% of your daily caloric intake. but if your doctor wants you to up it, maybe aim for 20-25%. | |||

if you have the cals left over, you could steam vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, etc) and sprinkle 1 serving (30g) of shredded cheese that's low fat or made with skim milk. it melts all over the veggies, isn't TOO bad and tastes soooo good. that's definetely comfort food. also, i'm sure on this site if you click the 'recipes' tab and type in the specific comfort food you're craving, you'll find one if not many healthy(er) alternatives and tricks so you can have your comfort food and eat it too. i know with it getting cold out all i want is hot chocolate and cookies and mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, etc. :\ |

i'm basically in the same boat as you. i GOT to my goal weight (110) and have now bnged up to 115-116. :( it's so hard to stop. the only trick is to not start. when is it you binge? after dinner? when you get home afterschool? if it's afterschool, you'll have to do what i'm trying to do - you can't eat ANYTHING. it starts out with an orange, and then BAM, you've just downed a whole pint of icecream or a whole box of crackers. drink water, chew gum, drink milk, don't eat until dinner. it works. |
