My favorite kitchen gadget:  Well I have two of them...My HOT SHOT which heats water for coffee or instant oatmeal or hot tea in about 60 to 90 seconds.  And my newest favorite is my MAGIC BULLETT.  It was expensive but it was well worth it.  I like smoothies and shakes. Now I can make them where they won't affect my dieting....and if I am not hungry but have not eaten all day I can have a filling shake and not over eat.....like normal...imagine that....

That is a cool idea.  I went this evening and bought one of those magic bullets that they advertise and made myself a smoothie with milk and fruit with just a touch of left over ice cream.  I will use ice next time but I had the ice cream.......hated to waste it..LOL  Thanks for both your ideas....I hope they both help.

I have a statement in my groups that I would like to share with you....The only stupid question is one that never gets ask.  I too am interested in that answer simply because I have times when I have just eaten and still think I am hungry.  Then there are times that I do not eat all day and never ever feel hungry.  I did get some advice from my doctor today...Just before I begin to eat I need to drink 8 ounces of water, eat my dinner, wait 20 minutes before I eat a second helping, and then if I still feel "hungry" then have 1/4 of what you think you want.  Had I known about your question, I would have ask him what that truly means.......I am gonna try his idea added to the things that I am already doing...Best of luck with the answer, I am interested in hearing myself....

I have a receipe with potatoes that is really good and really filling.  Not sure how much it comes out to in calories.... but here goes

Potaote Tuna Bakes

6 large baking potatoes (baked until tender all thru)
2 cans tuna in water (drained)
1 can mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp butter
1 TBSP minced garlic
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
3 slices cheese of your choice (sliced in half in triangles)

After allowing potatoes to cool for 30 minutes, cut top off by 1/4 inch, scoop out meat of potatoe leaving shell intact.  In Large bowl mix Potatoe, tuna, soup, milk, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.  Stir well and fill shells of potatoe skin with mixture.  Put into 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.  Remove from oven, place triangle of cheese on top and return to oven for 5 minutes.  Serve hot.  There will be extra mixture left, it freezes well.  Can be reheated and served as a cassarole....

I hope that this helps with potatoes.  I would give you the calorie information but I am not sure how to figure it out.

There is a product on the market called GAS X and it works fairly well.  My job is public speaking and Gas is not an option.  I have used it when I have felt gassy.  Best of luck...

Sarah12491 The best advice I can offer is to take a deep breath and start again.  You only loose if you quit....Take a day off from the scales/mirror for 2 days, get back on track and then weigh/look again...see if you feel better.  Best of luck to you...KarmankayeWink

I am just getting started with this.  I am in fear that once again I will fail in this venture.  A scary trip to the ER with everyone telling me I needed to loose at least 100 pounds has brought to startling reality that I have to do something.  So I have spent the day here searching for ideas.  This is where I have finally ended up...and I thank God that I have.  I know that it has to be slow or it won't last.  I appreciate the support that I know I will get here.  I look forward to wading through the posts here and I wish I could count that as excercise...LOL  Well, thanks for letting me be a part of your group...

I would like to join you in your walking.  I live in Missouri so hills are added to my regiment.  I will walk around the park once, it is about 1 mile.  Starting 9/4/07,  I have to go buy a pair of walking shoes.  All I have are dress shoes for my work.  Headed for Wal-Mart this evening.
