| Let's see I tried weight watchers, calorie counting, controlling carbs. Did I lose weight? Sure. But I lost the most weight by just cutting back on food. For example if I want pizza I have pizza not 5-6 pieces like I used to, but maybe 2. If I want to eat out I get a kids meal. I lost 28 pounds by doing this, it works-at least for me=) | |||

I consider that BIG success! I have lost 13.6 pounds in 8 weeks and I am thrilled. Just imagine you probably wouldn't have lost anything at this point if you didn't make a change. Keep up the good work........WOW I think 14 pounds in 6 weeks is impressive! |

I asked my personal trainer this today. She said that I need to remember to keep well hydrated and to keep breathing well throughtout my workout. I had a SUPER hard class today and did what she said and had no headache YEEHA |

Yep I love the YMCA. And the classes rock! I got a free 6 month membership for being on a local t.v. show about getting healthy. My personal trainer wants me to go to the classes because she says I would get past my comfort zone. And she says you gotta leave the comfort zone if you want results! YMCA are the best. And providing childcare, how awesome is that for us? Congrats on your membership and to a healthier family! |

WAAA I cannot find a WII and a Wii fit anywhere I live. Want to hear(off topic) something heart breaking? I have been searching for one FOREVER and I call everyday all the stores within a 20 mile radius of my house. Finally yesterday I call and get"yeah we have one wii" and I say " I am 20 mns away, be right there" I run and get my kids off of the bus stop we hop in the vehicle and cruise up the highway, get a cart run to electronics and a little boy walks up to the counter when I do so I let him talk to the clerk his first and GUESS what he wants the lady to get??? the last Wii. I almost cried and I am telling the truth. LOL Oh well, I will find one eventually=) |

| I just started but I did workout 2 of Week 1 yesterday and actually did 50% better than the first workout already. But I did buy new shoes and they are lighter so that helped. | |||

I just started the C25K today. I start with a personal trainer and get a body assessement on Friday. I need things to do at home too because I am on a local show and they will be watching our progress over 6 months so I need to drop the pounds. I want to be able to hit the outdoors this spring without hiding behind trees and gasping for air=) |

Years ago after the birth of my second son I used the older FIRM workouts and got into great shape with them. Within 3 weeks people were asking me what I was doing! |

I have tried before and it was mainly to try and be more healthy and lose weight. That didn't last long. This time I educated myself and watched videos, read books and frankly I don't miss putting that stuff in my body. It sickens me. Not only the cruelty which is very inhuman but the stuff that gets into the meat that we eat and feed our children. BARF! |

Hey guys, I've decided to once again start this weightloss thing....and of all days today is my birthday. I love my beer too. I am going to count into my calorie count. I lost weight once by cutting it out.......although I also lost weight once by just counting them into my calorie total. I really love wine too but I drink way too much of that LOL

Last summer I was a slave to the elliptical and I would burn tons of calories according to it. I cut back some on my eating however I didn't lose a pound.....and if I was burning 1000 and more calories per day you would think I would have melted. I am skeptical! Michelle |

Oh just reading this thread makes me want a glass of wine.....or a beer. But I am not going to do it. Nope not going to. Okay I had better go drink some water.........my hubby has 3 beers in there that I could drink YUM but I am not doing it! Good luck everyone Oh by the way I am 37 and the mom to 4 kids 17,10,8 and 2 years. 2 boys and 2 girls and I stay home with them now. Before that I worked at a bank and before that I operated a nail salon. Michelle |

Hey everyone! So I have to post about the results from cutting back drinking. Today makes a month exactly. January 12th I decided to give up my nightly wine. I have exercised but only about 7 times. Actually I haven't eat more. Alot more. I have been overeating. Anyway, I drank only 2 nights since Jan. 12th and I have lost around 4 pounds. So it is true that drinking at least in my case contributed to weight gain. I actually lost more by cutting back then when I counted them in my calorie count. So the result is I ate more the last month and cut back on drinking and lost. Now I am going to count my calories starting today and exercising consistently. And I am going to continue to only drink a few times no more than 4 times a month. So sadly my beloved wine did pack on the pounds......... Michelle-time to count those calories! |

I just did Cathe's get in shape for your wedding 30 mns of it. I am going to try and get up early tomorrow before I take my kids to school and exercise. I have to be at a funeral at 9:30 in the morning :( and I will be too drained to do it afterwards........so if not I will take tomorrow off and be back at it Friday! What did you all do? Michelle |
