  • Thomas' Light English Muffins
  • Bananas
  • Danon L/F Vanilla Yogurt
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Broccoli
  • Smart Pop Popcorn
  • Rice Cakes
  • Beef Jerky
  • Utz Potato Chips
  • Zingers
  • Whoppers

The last three are the sinful, not healthy foods.  I thought I'd list them since you were looking for them.  Though...they are for my husband!  I do have at least one zinger every week - it's my treat.

Weight that goes on fast, comes off fast.  It's all water weight in the beginning anyway.  In fact, if you weigh yourself everyday you'll be amazed at how much you can fluctuate - so it's best to weigh once per week, same day, same time.

I am also an excessive eater.  There are three things I'm trying to do every time I eat dinner (since that's usually where I have the problem). 

1. Always leave food on your plate, even if it's just a kernal of corn.  I think this helps work on that problem of feeling like you must clean your plate (usually goes back to upbringing).

2. If you are really hungry and feel like you must have seconds (or must clean your plate) wait 10 minutes before acting on it.  You'll be surprised how full you'll feel in 10 minutes when your body has had time to inform your brain of that fact.

3.  Every dinner I think about a great saying I once heard, which is:  Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.

Woke up way too early.

Breakfast: Lite English Muffin, 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter, 1/2 Banana, 8 oz Skim Milk

Snack: 4 small cheddar rice cakes and 1/2 carrot

Lunch: soup made with 1 cup broth made from bouillon, 1/4 carrot, 1/2 celery, 1/4 leek, fresh parsley, 1/8 cup chinese chow mein noodles AND 1 cup boiled cauliflower with 1 Tbsp lite garden veggie cream cheese mixed onto it.  Sounds weird, but it was really great.

I was so excited the other day because I found one of the 100 packs of Beef Jerky.  You know, they have those 100 calorie packs of all kinds of snacks.  Well, I think the Beef Jerky is a healthy alternative - this package by Obertos has 13 gm of protein.  It helped me a lot too.Smile

(WebMD) People who drink diet soft drinks don't lose weight. In fact, they gain weight, a new study shows.

The findings come from eight years of data collected by Sharon P. Fowler, MPH, and colleagues at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. Fowler reported the data at this week's annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association in San Diego.

"What didn't surprise us was that total soft drink use was linked to overweight and obesity," Fowler tells WebMD. "What was surprising was when we looked at people only drinking diet soft drinks, their risk of obesity was even higher."

In fact, when the researchers took a closer look at their data, they found that nearly all the obesity risk from soft drinks came from diet sodas.

"There was a 41 percent increase in risk of being overweight for every can or bottle of diet soft drink a person consumes each day," Fowler says

Try squeezing a piece of lemon into regular water...but come off caffeine a little at a time so you don't get such severe headaches.  They won't last forever!  Good Luck!

I had a hard boiled egg smashed up with 1 tsp mayo and 10 saltine crackers.  Didn't think the 1 tsp would do it for egg salad, it was dry but ok - and at 90 cals per tsp - I couldn't afford another.

And Rubester - forgive yourself for the brownies and go on like normal.  An extra walk would help.  Sometimes I forget to forgive myself when I blow it, and then I blow it worse.  Don't fall into that!
