Even though spinach & nuts are VERY good for you, cheese isn't very good. I clicked on just a few of the cheese items, your veggie bites, and one of the pizzas, and they all contained roughly 8g of fat. While lowish in calories, fat intake also matters a great deal.  Especially saturated fat.

You could perhaps be not getting enough sleep, so your body will crave sugary things, or really just about anything to keep you going.  I'm 17 as well, and I know if I don't eat at least 1000cals a day, not incl. beverages, I'm extremely tired by 6pm, and usually crash.  I would rec. upping your fruit, honestly, and maybe laying off the beef, as it slows you down quite a bit. Still, go get your blood sugar tested, there may actually be something wrong with that.

If you eat a lot of grains, or breads, eat less of them.  They expand in your tummy and create a full feeling.  I get that way after a sandwich, or after pasta, or rice.  Cheese has A LOT of calories in it, so try adding cheese to your diet, if you haven't already, and maybe take a bag of low sodium fat free chips with you, which have a fair amount of calories in them.  You may eat too much at one sitting, and thus while its still a reasonable amount of cals for that meal, is still heavy and makes you feel full.  Hope that helps!

I'm an Anorexic in recovery, which is part of the reason my family worries when I don't want to eat what they do.  Which is mainly meat, and I do not eat meat, I haven't since I was 12years old, they also don't think it's healthy to not eat fatty, and salty things, such as potatoe chips, or salting & buttering my potatoe, either way, I AM recovering.  I'll always be recovering, getting better, fighting it daily. :]
Motivation Anbody else want to CHOKE the "Calorie Coach"!! Sep 07 2007

ya, the coach is super weird, it says losing more than 2lbs a week is unhealthy... but, my track coach at the beg. of season, would have us drop 5lbs in a week, to get us into shape.. and clearly my coach isn't going to put me in danger.. kinda lame it wont let me change food settings to lose more than 2lbs a week.. yet, it'll let me set my target caloric intake at 500? Kinda weiiird.

Weight Loss Raw Food Diet-what do you think? Sep 07 2007

Technically, a raw food diet, you do eat "cooked" food, just not above I believe 102F, bc past that some of the nutrients can "cook out".

Also know that "raw food" includes bread, and EVERYTHING that has to be made at over that certain degree limit.  With a raw food diet, there's a lot you can't eat.  I tried it for about a week and just couldn't do it, because I loveee granola too much, haha!

If you have the will power to do it though, more power to you!

Keep us posted on progress. =P

It varies on the length of time between meals, or snacks.

If it's been more than 8hours, and you're used to eating every 4, it could be yes, like grumbling, or what feels like liquid sloshing in your stomach[which is acid, i believe].

However, if you're still used to eating every 4, and then you don't eat for 12, it  could be light headed, weakness, or even spacing out.

The key is to distinguish emotional and physical hunger.  The way I personally distinguish it is by asking when the last time I ate was, if I was suffiecently full after I ate that  meal, and by calculating how long til I eat again next.

A lot of "hunger" is mere boredom.  So, if you get hungry, try doing somethin to keep busy, but if you're still hungry, eat a light snack!  Maybe some yogurt, or a few cheese cubes[if you aren't concerned about fat content], or even some granola is really good to keep around!

I only say that because i've battled with it for 3 years, and everyday is still a constant power struggle between myself and her.  My mental calculator still works furiously at calories and fat grams put in front of me, I still precisely cut everything i eat into thirds, then sixths, then twelfths.   I do believe you can get BETTER, but I just don't believe in total recovery.  Maybe that's just because I've spent countless hours in therapies, rehab, nutrition classes, and yes positive energy that I can beat it, yet everyday, I'm still taunted by her, and I still have to force anything over 300cals down my throat.    I certainly didn't mean to discourage you, discouragement is the last thing those of us trying to get better need, I'm sorry.

You never fully recover from Anorexia.  It lives inside you, daily.  You don't beat it, you cope with it.  You learn to work past it.  Anorexia is much like AIDS, there's no cure for it, you never, ever mean to get it, and it's a deadly disease that will eat you from the inside out.

Weight Loss what is the best way to control your chocolate craving?? I miss chocolate!!! Sep 06 2007

A good one is to make pudding, but not regular pudding.  Instead of using milk, use water! It sounds disgusting, I know, but it actually tastes pretty good. Also, instead of pouring into dishes, which will make it a little difficult to setup, since it's made with water, not milk, pour it into ice cube trays.

Then when you have a chocolate craving, just go to the freezer, and pop a chocolate cube in your mouth!  They're a little less than 5cals each, if I remember correctly.

Also, make sure to buy fat free INSTANT, not cook and serve.
