Weight Loss skinnier after eating junk? May 07 2008

omg i know what you mean! when i eat my calories in fruit and healthy proper meals, i feel ordinary (read:chubby) the next day-

however when i save most of my calories for junk food and alcohol, i do feel skinnier/bonier not only the next day but that night as well!

i know losing weight after filling up on alcohol calories is probably water weight from dehydration- but i swear i just do lose more lbs when getting my cal allowance from junk and alcohol than fruits, veggies, and good carbs :S why???? i dont like it!

ive watched about every episode made of this show.. i love it!!

what was interesting too was what they ate.. one of the obese women was a chef, ate delicious looking gourmet meals, just far too many of them and with all the trimmings, whereas one of the underweight guys basically went something like 12 hours without food then filled up on a bag of cream eclairs! blergh!

i have known a couple anorexic girls. when they are talked about, 'skinny' is far from a compliment :S

whereas it is a given that healthy = attractive! :)

diet pepsi- a lot sweeter than diet coke.
and also, the gourmet luxury chocolates. i cant afford more than a couple so that ensures i dont overeat :)

rice cakes and cereal- theyre not bad in moderation but thats just the thing- i try one/a handful and the whole thing is gone :/ eek

i havent had nutella around in ages as well, but i love it too much to give it up- going to try and re-introduce it so to speak when i feel ready, and enjoy it in moderation (wish me luck!) hehee

well im mainly losing weight because my mum is the one who thinks im fat, i just want the snide remarks to stop.
not fair because she's so thin and thinks its easy for me to be too.

i used to always be the 'skinny' kid and my sister was the chubby one- till i moved to a different country for school and put on weight without noticing, and my sister started very drastically dieting- now she is disturbingly underweight and i (well i thought i was fine but according to my mother, and my aunts..) need to lose a good few kgs

Young Calorie Counters Peanut Butter May 01 2008

what about eating plain peanuts instead next time you get the craving? you probably wouldnt be able to eat anywhere near as many, and should take care of the need for the taste.

if you have to have it, have it with a ryvita or something healthy like that, rather than just bread. you could do worse than peanut butter tho tbh (think like nutella for example. mmm!)

hello :) im new here too, almost 18 and just finishing off my high school senior year right now.
my stats:

height: 5'4-5 (i have no idea really, that is a rough estimate)

cw: 121 lbs.

lost 10 pounds since i started counting again 3 weeks ago

my goal is also to be around 115 pounds or so, but im not sure how realistic that is.

last time i was down there i was alternately pigging out or surviving on an apple a day- im going to just keep my calories low-ish (no set goal/limit because i cant make myself follow anything) and see where it takes me :)

also the way i hear girls here talk about other girls that are slightly chubby is just nasty, and i dont want to be thought of like that :(
