Thanks for the birthday wishes!  I live in Indiana and it is like 65 today and rainy!  I can't remember every having such a crappy day for my bday!  I did work out today!  Looking forward to cocktails and dinner with my honey.

I am in tears as well.  My new scale has me 4lbs heavier than my old!  How does that happen?

Yeah!  Welcome ladies!  I just went out and bought myself a brand new scale with all the bells and whistles!  I am so excited to try it out first thing tomorrow morning.  Lets make this month count.  I am currently doing the 30 day shred, I am on level 3 right now.  I also try and mix up an hour of elliptical or swimming laps into that as well.  Lets go!

Good afternoon ladies!  I am exhausted today!  I played volleyball last night for a good 2hours.  It was about 90 degrees.  I literally had sand in every orifice of my body.  I was hot and sweaty and it was sticking!  The good news is I got quite the workout!  Yeah!  I weighed in yesterday and lost another 3 lbs.  I don't feel as if the weight is coming off the way it should be the inches definatley are!  My boyfriend even noticed the other day.  Its about time! 

I am on vacation all next week....but I am just staying home.  Going to lay by the pool all day and sip cocktails!  I will swim and work off the calories!  I am glad to see everyone is doing great and losing! 

J-mom ~ my 31st birthday is next week and I am going to treat myself with a mani/pedi.  I don't want to buy new clothes just yet, so for the inches and pounds thus far..mani/pedi will be great!

I totally just had to look up the acronym for TTOM.  ha ha!  I can't believe I missed that one.  So I shredded last night.  I technically done with Level 2, but I am still pretty winded and have to do modified versions on the skater and I do my weighted hula hoop for the last ab exercise.  I am still sweating like crazy and my breathing is erratic.  I would think that by being on the elliptical for an hour a day, my endurance would be building.  So, needless to say, I am going to continue with level 2 until I feel comfortable enough to move on.  My legs hurt so bad last night (quads) that I literally could only stand being on the elliptical for 20 minutes.  It was a very poor outing!  It's Friday.  Great, for some reason, I still think Fridays are a free for all!  We have Anderson this weekend so at least I know I will not be enjoying deck beers poolside (although that does sound awfully nice!Wink)

I actually have a pretty busy weekend, Anderson had a tball game tomorrow and then I believe we are going to the movies.  Sunday, I am taking the boys to see our local minor league team play.  Nice little family weekend.  I will try and refrain from snacking at the ball park....but I really can not say no to popcorn! 

Have a great weekend ladies!  Stay strong and just say no to cakes, cookies, pies, ice cream...basically anything delicious!  ha ha

J~ My girlfriend told me that my hips looked smaller but other than that...nothing!  I think it is because my BF and co-workers see me everyday so they really don't notice when it is only a couple of pounds.  At least we can see it!  Good luck today!  I hope the 143 goes down!!!

My boyfriends 4-yr-old worked out with me last night...or attempted to.  It was so cute watching him do crunches.  He only lasted through one circuit and then decided to rest because it was too hard.  The whole time during Level 2 shred he kept saying, let's do 3, I want to do 3!  I was like, Anderson, I can barely get through 2!  He also crawled underneath me while I was doing the walked out push-ups because he thought it was funny.  He won't think it is so funny when my big ol belly smashes him!~Laughing

J~ I am so glad to hear you are doing better.  I wouldn't worry about getting right back into the Shred.  I have a feeling we are not going anywhere.  I feel so at home with you ladies!Smile

I played volleyball for 1 1/2 hours last night.  I probably could have played for another 30 minutes or so but I was over it. My team totally sucked it up last night and so I was a little cranky!  I didn't shred last night but according to calorie counter I burned like 900 calories or so last night so I figured I was good to go.  Looking forward to shredding tonight and I think I may run instead of get on the elliptical.  I am doing another 5K August 1st for Breast Cancer & then another in September.  I need to start training.  Isn't amazing that you can be on the elliptical for an hour and it is hard but you push through and then you try to run and after 5 minutes you are exhausted?  I used to run the 3200 (2 mile) in track all 4 years of high school and loved every minute of it and today my ass is lucky to run a mile without being severly winded.  I did run a 5K in May and I did it, I completed but I was hurting! 

 

Also, does anyone else feel as if their toes are going numb when they are on the elliptical?

I lost one measly pound.  But...on the bright side when I went shopping over the weekend I tried on 12's and they were too big and 10's were just a little tight for my liking!  So, that is good news.  I also purchased 3 pairs of shoes!  I couldn't help myself.  They were just so damn cute.  Volleyball tonight.  Looking forward to finishing up day 10 of level 2 and starting in on level 3.  My actual 30th day should have ended tomorrow had I shredded everyday for 30 days...but I am only on day 17.  Oh well, I needed breaks!  Hope everyone had a super weekend.

What is P90X? 

 

Wowzers, am I tired.  It has been one loooonnnnnggggg day!  It is nearly midnight and I just got out of the shower and into the bed.  I shredded and then ellipticalled (ha) for thirty.  Tomorrow, I have a super long day of shopping with my mother, sister and pregnant sister in law.  I would be super excited because I love to shop but I haven't lost any weight to buy new clothes and don't necessarily want to my clothes at my current size either.  Well....I guess I can go with the old stand by and get SHOES!  Shoes always fit!  Laughing  I hope you all have a super lovely weekend.  Monday is weigh in...keep your fingers crossed but...I have a feeling it hasn't gone down...getting ready to start and am just all fatted over!!!!

J-mom, you better take care of yourself.  I had pneumonia before and it is not fun by any means...and the worst part is my boyfriend had it at the same time so we were both miserable and couldn't even take care of eachother!  I hope you feel better soon and DON'T push yourself.

Eve..girl, you are amazing.  I am half Mexican and thanks to my father my BIG ass could never fit into a niner even if I only weighed two pounds!!!!  The funny thing is that is the only Mexican trait I have!  I have a nice big round Jlo booty!  Thank you daddy!!!  Seriously, though.  That is amazing and you should be so proud of yourself. 

Wyo~ I took two days off because honestly I couldn't quit shoving my face full of food long enough to actually workout.  I was seriously ready to chew my arm off.  Today was a little better.  I hope it is getting better for you as well.

After dinner I shredded D6L2 and then hopped on the elliptical for an hour!  I was so proud of myself. My legs are seriously jello like right now but everytime I wanted to quit I just kept saying, "I don't want to be fat, I don't want to be fat!" It worked!

Have a super Friday ladies.  It is already after 11 my time, I better get into the bed.

I have the worst cramps ever!  I decided to take a break last night since I worked out 7 days in a row and today I am feeling guilty.  My belly feels all fatted over because of the cramps and bloat.  Being a girl is a lot of work!  I am trying not to be cranky today but....you know how that goes.Yell

Chin up!  On another note, I am reading a new book...sTori Telling, by Tori Spelling.  I just got it last night so I only read the prologue so far.  I have heard great things about it.  I hope it is good!  I love her.

Welcome wyogirl.  We will always have room for a fellow shredder!  What kind of results did you see in the 3 months?  Did you do each level for 10 days and then start over after the 30 days?  I am just wondering I should do it.  I love it.  Tonight will be D6 L2 so I am basically half way shredded!  ha ha.  Let me know how you did it.  I would love to know.  Good luck and you can do it! 

 

J~ I hope you feel better soon.  I hate being sick.  I am 31 and still want my mom when I am sick:)  How sad is that! 

 

Slim/Eve~ thanks for all the support, I really and truly appreciate it.  You just don't get the same support from boys!  I may not have lost any weight yet...but the khakis I put on this morning are hanging quite loosely!  Yeah!  I guess I really am losing inches.  It is only Tuesday and I have to wait until next Monday to weigh in again...AGGHGGHGHGHG.  I may pull my hair out before then:) 

Hey...one of my girlfriends is getting ready to become a Zumba instructor.  Has anyone heard of it?  She has lost tons of weight doing it and is crazy obsessed.  I am going to try out one of her classes, soon....maybe...I hope...Laughing

19 years!  That is amazing.  Congratulations!  Yes, it sounds have if you have had a lot of practice.  I can only hope I can do that as well.  I always wondered how my mother did it with four.  I am sure it wasn't easy at all. 

It's 10:thirtyish and I have played around 1 1/2 to 2 hours of beach volleyball and then I came home and did d5 level 2 of the shred.  I'm exhausted and starving! 

 

Does anyone else feel like they are starving when they finish working out?

You talk about her as much as you want!  Julia, Julia Julia!  Shout it from the roof tops.  I do not have children of my own but I am a step mother to a wonderful funny little 4-yr-old.  I find myself talking about him ALL the time as well.  I would be worried if a co-worker didn't talk about their baby all the time.  Tell that lady/man to lock it up!  You do what you want!Smile

Congratulations!  I am so happy for all of you!  This is my third week.  I actually gained this morning!  Unbelivable.  The sad part is I haven't cheated, I worked out six days last week.  Nothing unusual and I gained.  I'm sad.Cry

Eve, how do you find the time to work out 6 days and ride 10 miles on the weekend.  I am struggling to get the 6 days in.  By the time I get home from work, it's already 6, I have to make dinner and then clean up the kitchen...7:30 let my food settle for at least an hour then work out 9:15...shower, maybe do a load of laundry...by the time I get into bed most nights it is already 11.  I usually only get around 5-6 hours a night.  I am exhausted!  i feel like I don't have time on weekends, with Tball, grad parties, cookouts, this and that and AHHHH....summer is so damn stressful! 

I already told my boyfriend we are doing nothing this weekend.  Absolutely nothing.  I am going to lay by our pool and de-stress.  ...and I will not weigh in until next Monday.  If that damn scale does not move I am throwing it in the trash!!!Yell  (only to dig it out at a later time!)

I realize that I am a week late but I would like to join.  Starting weight 172.  I am stuck right now and actually gained weight last weight...which was a huge surprise.  I doubt I will lose ten but will take whatever I can get!:)

Cboisseau~ yeah we are doing something but it still sucks.  I guess I shouldn't complain that much considering I have only been exercising for a little under a month and I have lost 2 inches on my hips....but still.  A guy friend told me that sometimes you have to gain weight to lose weight and that he has lost pants sizes before and stayed the same weight. 

Losing weight blows!  I just HAD to quit smoking and just had to eat eat eat and gain 8 lbs!  Unbelievable!  Sorry ladies, I am feeling sorry for myself today.  I need to pep up!

Sounds like your body is in starvation mode.  You need to eat more.  I know that sounds funny, but you serisouly do.  I gained weight and work out at least 5-6 days a week.  My friend told me that sometimes you need to gain weight to lose weight...it doesn't make it easier.  Woman do not want to see the scale going the other way!:)  Good luck, chin up...and eat more!

I shredded Tuesday thru Sunday last week.  I am on day 5 of level 2.... and I actually gained weight!  WTF!  I didn't eat a bagel last week and I even was either right on or just under calories for the whole week.  I am so frustrated!  I went from 170 to 167 to 172.  How does that happen?  I have volleyball tonight so that will count for my workout and I will have to eat at Subway for dinner since I won't be going home before.  Games are at 6 and 8.  I am so depressed about this but am looking forward to my free pedicure from the sand!  Yeah, beach volleyball :)... the only good thing about my day!
