Does your 1800 calorie plan involve lots of healthy non high sodium stuff? Are you drinking tons of water?

Look for cheese pizza or take the toppings off; this saves a substantial amount of calories. Hopefully they have a veggie tray, skip the dressing.

I have to go to a Super Bowl party tomorrow, so I totally know what you're going through. You'll do fine, have fun!

This happens to me too. I think the main reason is because I think too much about food.

Two tricks that work for me:

1. Drink some water or Chrystal Light. I read somewhere that sometimes when you think you're hungry, you might just be thirsty.

2. Chew some sugar free gum

Hope that helps. Don't use as meal replacement though because you'll get a tummy ache Smile

Hi Tina1985,

I feel your pain. I'm sick in bed with a cold right now too Frown I'm not exercising and I'm eating more than usual but keeping it a little below my maintenance level.

I guess it's good to "feed" a cold but I'm trying to keep it healthy and only binging on veggies with Tabasco. Might sound yucky, but it's tasty, low cal, I've heard eating spicy things speeds metabolism and really clears up your stuffy head.

Put some socks on! J/k

Try belly dancing. It's fun, expressive and a good workout. You can find lots of inexpensive videos on Amazon.

You're right Samsuni. In the 8 pounds I've lost, I have only noticed that my feet and wrists have lost weight!

I'm not kidding. My butt, waist and stomach look pretty much the same but I can see prominent foot and wrist bones that I hadn't before lol!

What a good idea! You have inspired me to bring a veggie plate with me tomorrow since I know, no one else will.

Yeah, I would defiantly exercise more if you can. I actually parked my car at my in-law's house today and walked home (sadly it's only 3.5 miles from where I live!)so that I have to walk there for the Christmas Eve festivities tomorrow.

As for Christmas day, I'm kinda screwed because I'm throwing a party at home. Since I'm on my own turf, eating healthy won't be a problem but who knows how many calories I'll consume in wine?! lol Laughing

I've lost a pound but with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day parties still to go this week I should probably keep my mouth shut until the end of the month!

When I started counting calories back in late October I was 125-127 on any given day and I am 5'5 too.

I consume between 1,000 - 1,4000 calories per day and get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day...as of this morning weigh 117.6 Yell

From what I've gathered, it just freaking takes forever to get to your goal when you don't have much to loose!

Not much change from last weeks 118.8 but considering all the festivities  I'll just be happy with it.

One way that I have found to control myself a little is to have a candy cane when everyone around me is eating sweets. They are super tasty, last a long time and some of them (regular size) are only 40 calories Laughing

Way to go Spacedreamer for baking all those cookies and being so good!

Congrats on the 3 pounds mmdsc96 ! I bet that feels good. I'm feeling pretty good this morning myself after seeing the scale finally going down a pound and some change after a week long plateau. Woohoo!

Thanks Spacedreamer for the kudos and encouragement! Making my workouts interesting is about the only thing that gets me to exercise :)

I know its not as fun as some of my workouts, but I've taken up a lot of walking this week... If it's not too cold or dark outside I'll (drag my husband and dogs with me) walk wherever I need to go within a 6 mile or so round trip radius. It's kind of fun! I feel good about it if nothing else.

Now maybe if I could get my water intake up, I could loose some weight lol!

This Thanksgiving was my first on a diet and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was pretty good at dinner by having very small portions of things but for desert someone cut me a huge slice of chocolate cake and I didn't turn it down!

I didn't feel too bad about it though because I talked my husband into riding our bikes all the way there and back Tongue out
