I lost it around Valentine's Day and although I didn't binge or anything, for various reasons I didn't track calories or get to the gym. I'm not sure of my weight, but am hoping that I've maintained my loss from last month. On to the March challenge!

Been there done that. I've had 2 sinus surgeries, been to the chiropractor, physical therapist, am on allergy meds & two nose sprays, and have been riddled with sinus infections and worst of all.....headaches. I 'm not sure I remember what I posted that had you mention sinus problems to me, but I've recently made some changes that I think are really going to help. If you want to call me we can talk about it. :) I can email my phone # to you. Let me know!

Hi February Bride! If you want to get better fast...I highly recommend this site I've been using to help me as i have lots of cold and allergy issues. The site is like a blog about natural cures....and I've found a lot that worked. Go to www.earthclinic.com, look up the symptoms you have, and read on! I especially liked the one using cayenne pepper and apple cider vinegar to clear myself up. Let me know if you try any remedies and how it goes!

Tonight...party, tomorrow night...dinner w/friends...Sunday...We're having a Super Bowl party. Anybody have some tips to help me stay on track? Have a great weekend all!

Happy Weekend All!

I made myself a pretty cool chart in MS Excel to track my daily deficit or overage, exercise calories, & total deficit for the month. Is there a way to post it here for people to look at/use? If not, I'll be glad to email it to whoever is interested.  Cool

Hi! Is this the right place to put a deficit update?  If not, please tell me where to go. I'm new to this forum stuff! Thanks!

Hi There!  My stats are the same as you ....5'3" & 150. The only difference is I'm much older! (47) It sounds like you're doing all the right things. Please don't let the scale get you down. I used to go crazy weighing myself every day and it's very destructive. I've made Monday my weigh day and that's it! Also, if you're working out at the gym, it's very possible that you are putting on muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. Something I've done in the past is to use a measuring tape to see my progress or get a pair of pants that is too tight, hang it somewhere you can see it, and try them on every once in a while.

So keep up the good work and keep in touch! What are you trying to get to? I'm trying to get back to my wedding weight of 135. I always seem to get close and then start inching back up again....

Take care!

Hi, I've been looking for a challenge group and this one looks perfect! I like short term goal setting and think it will work great! I'd like to join Sarah on the 3 pound challenge.  As of January 8th, my deficit 2024/10,500.

Thank you for starting this post!

I haven't been on in a long time, but I'm getting back into it now. I just contacted a new group that seems more suited to me. (women in their mid 40's) I'm really looking for one or two buddies to keep better in touch with. I get lost in the forums.  What's your situation.

Hello,

I'm interested in hearing about your "shredding" plan.  I did my first triathlon and for some reason my weight shot up 5 pounds even though I ate less than the calories I burned. I'm kinda bummed and need to do something for just a few days to get the scale moving down again.

Thanks,

Caroline

It was me.  I'm so glad it's working for you!  I've been doing this on and off for several years and I've never broken down and binged on the chocolate. I think that allowing yourself some every day (if you want) makes a huge difference somehow.

Take care!

Tracy,

Regarding the chocolate, here's something that has worked for me in the past. Buy some really good quality chocolate, individually wrapped. Make sure the chocolate is at least 70% chocolate. Put them in a special place and allow yourself one piece in the evening after all your eating is done, IF you've stayed within your calorie range and/or met your other goals for the day.  This helped me so much because I knew I was allowed a piece almost daily and it kept me from having a binge. There were many times where I "earned" it but didn't even eat it! It's amazing how the mind works. Let me know if you give it a try and how it goes.

Hi Phat83,

Instead of the table can you type in in a column format? (The tab key works.)

Maybe we could do that and also have the great table you made sent to us. My address is ckuhfahl@loudoun.gov.

Thanks!Tongue out

Hi There!

Thanks for creating and keeping track of all on this post. I'm really looking forward to supporting each other. I did the same thing as you last year, except I did a WW meeting at work. It started off great and then everyone got busy and it kind of fell apart. I've been trying to lose the last 15 pounds for years and want to get there so bad. I'm close to "the change" (yeah, I'm old!) and if I don't lose the weight soon I know it will get even worse...

Here is my goal for the next 4 weeks. To lose one pound a week, so that would make me 141. Also someone said how great weight resistance training is. I'm setting a goal to step that up to 3 times a week.

I read through the posts and would like to become a part of your group. I set up my account today and just started learning how to use the site. I found out that I have to restrict my protein intake due to reduced kidney function, and I think it's wonderful how the "Analyse" tool counts everything for you.

I am 46 and am married with 3 kids. I also teach at a school. Making time for myself is very hard, but I realize that my health really depends on it. I'm following the Ultrametabolism  book which has me cutting out common foods that people are allergic to. I've got terrible allergies but never tried to figure out what kind of foods not to eat. According to Dr. Hyman (author) ridding your diet of these things will make you feel better and lose weight.

Stats: 5'3"  145 pounds goal: 130 pounds

P.S. I am participating in my first 1/2 triathlon a week from today. Yaay!
