| i would just save an extra 400 cals and have the piece of pie, it's totally worth it for me. even if it's a little over 400 cals, you can work off the extra 100 or 200 cals, it can't be more than that. | |||

| they have a few lighter options on their menu listed. stick to red sauce, and not much cheese. try to fill up on salad, so you don't go overboard on the entree. i'd also stay away from the breadsticks if at all possible... i know they're good. | |||

| Technically this shouldn't affect your weight. I always eat about an hour or so before bed, because I get hungry at night. As long as your staying within your calories you should be fine. However, everyone's body is different. | |||

| I don't drink very often but when I do I try to keep it relatively low calorie. Rum and diet coke, vodka with fresca/diet sprite/diet 7 up, or vodka with diet cranberry juice and lime for a low cal cosmo is always good. Vodka is the lowest cal liquor so if you can handle shots that's probably your best bet. If you want an actual drink mix it with something diet or very low cal. | |||

| Weight Loss | College Girl Getting Back on Track | Oct 15 2007 02:48 (UTC) |

| I'm now working on maintaining my weight, back at college. I found it much easier to work out and such at the gym at home. However, I find it's easier to get to the gym at school when I schedule it into my schedule ahead of time. That way I'm already committed to it. Find a time that's good for you to go, when you don't usually have other stuff going on. I like to get it out of the way in the mornings when I don't have classes, that way I don't have to worry about it later on if something else comes up. | |||

| I had the same kind of problems when I was younger and wish I had gone on the pill sooner, but my mom was very reluctant to put me on it too young. My periods have gotten so much better since I've been on the pill and I haven't had any bad side effects. I'd try to put her on a low dosage pill, so her hormones don't go crazy. She shouldn't experience too many side effects with those either. | |||

| The Lounge | any tv shows you watch regularly? | Oct 01 2007 05:01 (UTC) |

I watch a lot of tv at night... it destresses me and gets my mind off other things. Plus, it's something to look forward to at the end of the day. My personal favorites are Nip/Tuck, Grey's Anatomy, Dirty Sexy Money, and Law and Order SVU. I'll also watch Desperate Housewives or Brothers and Sisters on Sunday nights if I have the time. Scrubs and House are good ones... but I already have too many I'm in to. I was really disappointed with Private Practice and Gossip Girl... I wouldn't recommend them. |

| peanut butter or nuts are good for healthy food that is high in calories. some fruits are higher in calories as well. pasta or meat is always a way to go. i eat granola sometimes to get extra calories in (1/2 cup=almost 200 cal). personally i always leave an extra 200 cal or so for the end of the day just so i can splurge on something sweet. :) | |||

| The Lounge | Parents of teenagers, how much freedom to you allow them? | Sep 20 2007 03:21 (UTC) |

| I'm a teenager (19) and my parents were always some what strict with certain things but allowed me more freedom with the important things. My mom would have never let me drive that far when I was that young with a new driver and I would've respected that decision. I wasn't allowed to drive that far until I'd had my license for well over a year. I'd let him go to the concert, but maybe you could drive him. That would allow ensure him not 'experimenting' at the concert. However, he is probably going to experiment no matter what you do. My parents realized that, and they tried to avoid the matter til senior year, when they loosened up on the drinking thing. They realize I'm going to drink and they now are accepting that, they'd rather me drink and be smart about it then do something stupid like drink and drive. I was also not allowed to stay at home alone over night til I was a senior in highschool. I warn you those parents who did let their kids stay over night in highschool were usually oblivious to the parties their kids were having. My junior year kids were throwing parties every weekend while their parents went out of town. | |||
