Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great day. I am doing great. I was having some difficulty taking care of these children but I have prayed for patience and wisdom and things are going better. I only have one right now and he is napping but I had 3 yesterday all 2 and under. I do enjoy what I am doing.

The weight loss is finally going better. I have dropped a few pounds but I had gained over the holidays. I am making a real effort to exercise more. I am doing one of the Biggest Loser workouts.

Just a quick update on Baby Samuel. He continues to improve. He is know off the feeding tube and is at home and playing more. He is truly a miracle. Praise God that he hears and answers prayers!

Everone have a great day. I am going to go clean the house up while I have the chance!

Good Morning Everyone!

Words of Praise this morning! Samuel went to surgery yesterday. The doctor opened his abdomen and was not sure where he was to operate because all he could find was 1 area of dried up dead tumor. He even called radiology to confirm he was correct. He is certain the pathology will be negative for cancer. They did remove his adrenal gland to be sure. Praise the Lord for his invention. Not only did they get a great report during surgery but he did just as well afterwards. They expected to take him to PICU and have difficulty coming off the ventilator. He came off of it easily amd went to a regular room. I thank you all again for your prayers. This little boy is showing the staff at the hospital that you can not count God out.

Everyone have a happy blessed New Year. I pray that we can all reach our goals this year.

Good Morning Everyone!

I thought I would post an update on Baby Samuel. He will have surgery to remove his primary tumor the 31st. He is doing great. The doctors are amazed. They say they have never seen a child respond the way he has. He has had some up and downs with his kidneys and lungs but he is a miracle. His parents are convinced that he is healed. They want them to do the surgery to hopefully prove that the tumor is gone.He was able to be home for Christmas and he is playing well. He is learning to eat again. Please pray that the tumor is gone and the doctors too can see our Lord is still very much in control.I believe The Lord is working through this little one. Praise his name! He is so worthy of our praise.

I hope everyone is doing well. I have not been able to post very often. The children I watch are keeping me busier. The baby is learning to walk and gets into EVERYTHING!

I hope to kick the weight loss up in higher gear the first of the year. Has anyone bought the Biggest Loser Cardio workout. I would like to buy it but I can not find it anywhere in stores. I am struggling with exercise since it is so cold outside.I also have not been eating as well. I am avoiding the scales like the plague.

Everyone have a great day. Jennifer

Also praying for Pam.

Please pray for baby Samuel. The family has decided to for Samuel that they will not do any more chemo. The chemo really harmed his kidneys and the chemo may indeed kill him. The doctors have said the cancer will return and kill him.We know that our Savior is bigger than this cancer. He can overcome. Please pray for his family and the doctors for guidance. Our pastor did not preach today we had a altar prayer, I pray that the Lord chooses to use this for his glory.

Good Saturday Morning!

How is Everyone? I hope to have a good Saturday with my family today. I am going to try to get my housework out of the way early. We are going to put up the Christmas tree today. I usually make cookies and hot cocoa when we do that. Any healthly alternative ideas? I don't know if the kids would appreciate a veggie tray for the occasion although this is what really need.

Welcome neneokator! We look forward to getting to know you. This is a great bunch of people who truly have become great friends.

Everyone remember when you are out in those long lines at the store Cristmas shopping or in horrible traffic that Jesus is the Reason we celebrate Christmas. He did not have to come as an infant to us. He became flesh for the sole purpose to die for us so that we can accept him. We do not have to go to hell. What an awesome thing! Praise the Lord. May we all take the time today to thank him.Anyone that is reading this that has not accepted him as Savior I pray today will be the day.

Hello Everyone!

I have not been able to post very much the past few days. I have been very busy but I have missed you guys. The baby I watch has a cold and teething, so he has kept me on my toes.

I have great news about Baby Samuel. He is off the ventilator and dialysis. He is up playing some. He had his tests to see if the tumor has grown. It is just 1 inch square. Praise the Lord! He has minimal cancer in his bone marrow. They are going next week to Vanderbuilt to see the surgeon about removing the tumor. The bad news is the Kidney specialist has told them no more chemo. The cancer doctor has said the cancer has a 99.9% chance of coming back. Please pray regarding this. The Lord has no limits to the miracles can performs.

Pam I am praying for you. I hope your pain is at a comfortable level. Lord please let Pam know you are with her, Please take her pain away and give her peace that only you can give.

Sue I pray that you are safe as you travel. Lord protect her.

Well guys I had better go, my children are at it again. They cannot get along with eachother for more than a few minutes.

Everyone have a great night.

Good Morning Everyone!

How is everyone?

Randysgalpal- Hey! In answer to your question I'm doing ok this weekend trying harder on the diet front. I spent yesterday looking for one of the Biggest loser workouts but did not find one. There is a new one coming out this month I guess I have to wait on that one. Plans for Christmas are crazy.I am divorced and remarried and of course that means my kids have to spend time with all families involved. That means run, run and run faster. Baby Samuel is about the same as far as I know. I may find out more at church today. He is still on the ventilator but his kidneys are still improving.

Well I beter go get ready for church it is getting late. Catch you guys later.

Good Morning Everyone!

I thank all of you for your prayers. Samuel is making slow improvements today. He may have to go back to Vanderbuilt for any further treatments, his future is unsure right now. They are going to do new scans soon to see if the cancer has began to grow again.

I have no idea what to think about the scale today. I had decided I would try to begin again today. I went to the scale with dread and actually thought I had gained 5 or 6 pounds but I lost. I finally broke the 190 mark. I weighed 189. That is good but now I really do not know what to eat. I thought maybe I had been in starvation mode before because the last several days I have not ate that good.I fo noe think I was terrible but could have made better choices. I also realized the last 2 weeks I have been very busy. When I get nervous I clean everything. Somehow that is how I cope, but I also eat. Maybe I burned more calories than I realized.I guess I will just try to eat lots of veggies and lean protein and see what happens.

Has any one finished their Christmas shopping? I have not started! I will not get to start until the 15th of December.I really wish there was not so much rush and hype about it. I really would like just to focus on the Lord and family. It seems like we are supposed to be 2-3 different places at the same time.

I hope everone has a great day. 4square, How is your mom? Praying she is doing well with her recovery. Sue, I hope you are doing better. Our family has had some sinus issues as well. Pam I hope you are feeling great today.

Hello Everyone

I come to you guys with a heavy heart. Samuel has had another setback. He is currently in heart failure. Please pray that he gets another miracle. We know that it can happen.

I find it very hard to make good food choices right now. When I am upset or nervous I eat.I am trying harder and I know that satan is using this stress against me.Please pray that I will triumph today in Jesus name.

Good Morning Everyone!!

More great news about Samuel. He is up to 25 cc of urine output per hour. He is still on the ventilator but he is getting better. The Lord is so faithful to answer our prayers. We are so unworthy of his love, yet he loved us enough to die for us.That is really an amacing thing! PRAISE the Lord! His blood is on my soul.

Pam I did very poorly on the diet yesterday. We ate at 2 different places and yes I did overeat twice.I got up this morning and now it is TTOM!! I was so ready to get back in the saddle but I already had a small piece of leftover pie. I have to get that out of here.My blood sugar was also high yesterday. I am just not even going to weigh this week. I am so close to calling it quits anyway. I am afaid that if I do weigh that will do it.I've got to get the motivation back!!

What a wonderful thing. WE may never physically see one another here but we know that we have a heavenly home awaiting us very soon.WE have so many reasons to have a thankful heart today.Praise His Name!!

Hello, I have made mashed potatoes with half and half and cream cheese. I use 1 small container of half and half and 8 ounces of cream cheese. Not exactly low fat but hey it's Thanksgiving! I got the recipe from one of Rachel Ray's cookbooks. It is wonderful! You can even put cheese in them. They are best made with Yukon Gold potatoes.

Hello Everyone!!

Again I am asking for prayers for Samuel. I know that everyone is probably already praying and I thank you. He had a good day yesterday and came off the ventilator and today he is back on it.His kidneys are trying to wake up however,he is not having enough urine output to stay of the dialysis. Please pray for his lungs and his kidneys. It would be a great Thanksgiving to be able to come out of this crisis and out out PICU by tomorrow. We know there is no limit to what God can do.Please lift up his parents Roy and Sylvia as well. This has to be discouraging to them.

I got up this morning and thought as I got ready for church today, wouldn't it be wonderful if Jesus came to get us today? I then thought that there is so much more I need to be doing for the Lord, afterall he died for me.Praise the Lord. If all of us here could do something in his Name today would that not be wonderful? Thank you Pam and Sue for the advice. I just want to handle it in the way that The Lord would have me. She called a while ago and told me I would now have him until 5:30. I am going to have a talk with her. I am praying for direction. I want her to realize that I do care for her and her precious little boy but that I know when I am taken advantage of.

Hello Again Friends, I have a question, actually I need advice. As many of you know I babysit a couple of kids. One of the families I watch kids for goes to the same church I do. I am totally getting taken advantage of. For instance I was told that I would not have their son today, then I was told I would have him from 9:30-2:30 today which was fine. She told me she had to work afterall. Well I got to thinking that she does not work today because she works in a bank. Hello it is a federal holiday. Thank God for our veterans by the way. She has lied to me and not only that her husband shows up with him at 7:20 this morning. He thought he would let her sleep. I was totally not ready for him! I want to handle this in the Christian way,but how do I do this without getting taken advantage of? Am I over reacting? I was so angry! I did not even get a phonecall. If they had just called me I do not think I would be upset! I wonder how many calories I have burned getting my dander up?? What should I do? This is by far not the first time this kind of thing has happened. She has called me 10 minutes before his pick up time and expexted me to drop my plans to watch him. Upset and Angry. What to do??

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well and has a great Sunday. I have not posted in a couple of days. I have been kind of down. The scale is not moving at all. I guess the thing to do was to seek support from our Lord and my sisters in Christ. I have to trust that the numbers will begin to change. Samuel is about the same. The doctors say that it may take 2-5 weeks for his kidneys to begin to function again. They do not know what the Lord can do. I believe he is healing Samuel in his own time. His ways are perfect. I trust he will get better.

Everybody have a great day. Pray for a special friend today. We have invited him to chuch many many times and he is coming to church today. He is homeless right know and needs the Lord in his life.

Love in Christ Jennifer

Good Morning Everyone!

Good news and bad news this morning. Samuel is doing a little better. They say he is strong enough to come off the vent. but he still needs it since he is sedated for the dialysis. Also the bone marrow is 100% free of cancer. The primary tumor in his abdomen has let go of the kidney and the primary vein in his kidney. The bad news is the doctors are not in agreement as to what caused the kidney failure. 4 doctors say that in was the chemo that caused it and 2 doctors say that it is infection. It looks like he may not be able to get anymore chemo. Please pray that he can finish treatments. We know that our Lord can heal him, he can pull through this.We know that the cancer has responded to the treatments and I do not know what this means for the stem cell transplant.

I hope everyone is well. Molly I hope the dreaded dentist appt went well. I am also terrified of the dentist.

Welcome Gwave! I look forward to fellowshipping with you.

On the weightloss front I have stalled again.I am stuck at 190. I am still 5 pounds from my first goal. I was hoping I would see some change after that hard hike over the weekend. Lord give me patience.

Everyone have a terrific day. I may take the toddler I keep today to the library.Talk to you guys later.
