Woah, you are not eating enough calories for your body, even to loose weight. >.<

No wonder you're finally cracking and starving!

Use the tools on this site to figure out how much you should be eating and then up your calories...otherwise you're just going to keep feeling empty. ):

I would stop adding in any extra activities, as it sounds like it's just making things more confusing. Pick your activity level, and leave it at that. Check what your burn meter says then, and -500.

Weight Loss Is a 2300 Calorie Difference to much? Jul 03 2009

That is quite a big difference. How did you come up with 3200 calories burn? What activity do you set it to? If you set it to moderate/lightly active then that accounts for those 800 calories burned at the gym already.

Weight Loss How do I get enough calories with food allergies? Jun 30 2009

Buy rice bread, it is about 200 calories for 2 pieces and they are small pieces, it is quite calorie dense, and spread with avocado. This should bump up your calorie intake a fair bit, at least enough to keep you out of starvation ranges. xx

In order to control the calories of the food you get in resturants order anything savory with no cheese, and sauces on the side. It's annoying to ask, but remember that a lot of people do these things...and they should be able to do it. It won't make everything low-cal of course but it will def. reduce the amount by a bit!

Sometimes I hate working out, and sometimes I have fun...the only cardio I really enjoy is the treadmill running so I subbed the cross-trainer and bicycle for longer running sessions + uphill power walking. I figure that it's better to change my programme myself than avoid going to the gym because I hate a certain machine!

Health & Support Some can recover and some can't? Jun 30 2009

I believe that everyone can recover.

I remember how every day I made my food choices, how every day I recorded my weights and goals, quite conscious of what I was doing. I could have chosen not to do all those things just as anyone could.

I'm sorry but I do believe I did it to myself. o.O I am, however, recovered. I don't want to go back there because I don't want to ruin and disrupt the friendships and relationships I have now & that's what an ED does!

How much are you trying to eat during the day?

I used to suffer from anorexia, with chronic binging because I was starving myself. I haven't binged in over a year which is great, but only because I addressed the way I was eating.

Original Post by coreyander:

The tools on this site are not designed for individuals under 21, so you definitely shouldn't restrict to 1200 or 1250.

Here is a caloric needs calculator that you can use; it isn't designed for dieting, but it will give you an idea of how many calories you should be eating.

Exactly, they're designed for adults (as are BMI recommendations). I don't think you should be dieting so hard at your age! Esp if you don't have a lot to lose. Please don't be stressing your body out more than 1lb a week at least...

Hiya! I've done the recovery stint before. :) I would bulk up your breakfast first, a handful of nuts will add about a 100cal onto your total.

If you want to have a bowl of ice cream at night that's totally cool too, ice cream is made of MILK remember. :P I used a lot of ice cream to up my calories personally...is like my favourite. :) If you want to be healthier you could add fruit to it like frozen blueberriies etc. but generally speaking, there's nothing wrong with it.

Health & Support Thinspo - the most idiotic girls in the world. Feb 25 2009

those websites are how girls with eating disorders express themselves where their behaviour isn't acceptable/tolerated in the real world and by their family & friends.

i used to obsessively update my blog with thinso, pictures, quotes, mantras, recipies, what i'd eaten today, what exersie i'd done, my goals, my dreams, my fears.

it was a way of articulating what was consuming my mind every single day. i don't regret any of it, it's made me who i am today. i did get very thin, and concerned a lot of people and in a way i'm still proud of what i'm able to do when i set my mind to something but i okay now.

i don't think those girls are stupid at all. many of them are very intelligent.

yeah, there are some **** who don't have eating disorders and create a bit of fuss and fake an ed but there are so many gorgeous and intelligent girls who are consumed by these eating disorders and these are how they express themselves, and find their escape from realities. they create a community of support and understanding.

That's one thing about me that never held to my own perception of my own ED. When I was getting thinner and thinner I saw it in the mirror I knew I was thin (maybe not as thin as others saw, but I knew that I was.) it's just I didn't care. It became more like a game to me just to see if I could actually keep losing weight..it was mostly an obsession.

Thanks for sharing the video, but it does not show far enough into the ED world it's a whole lot more then just seeing a bigger image (for some.)

I felt the same way, I saw I was thinner.

If I said I thought I was fat, it was compared to my own goals but I never thought I was a fat person like in the clip...

Mine you, that skinny girl is fake...it's edited, they wouldn't expolit a person who looked like that to make an ad.
