| Ok so I'm just starting and at 275 there isn't a lot of workout videos I can make it through. However, I enjoy the carmen electra dvd. I actually just finished it about an hour ago. But I totally understand that if I were anything more than a beginner it wouldn't be a workout. | |||

| You're not going to screw up two months of work in one day. TRUST ME!!! I hadn't been dieting very long (no more than a week) when the state fair happened. I had loaded chili cheese fries and a fried moon pie and still lost weight that week. My cal intake was about 2000 at the time so you are doing MUCH better than I was and it didn't kill me diet. | |||

| After reading the post I realized its more like a cheat meal. Usually what happens is I use one night a week to eat brownies. I LOOOOOOVE brownies and if I thought I could never have them I would sneak and eat them or something like that. I don't plan to have one a week. I just limit myself to one. So some weeks I don't have one. It just depends on how much I'm craving brownies. | |||

| It is keeping up with how many you've burned throughout the day (estimate of course) it does this with the information you've given it about your lifestyle ( sedentary....) | |||

Am I right in thinking that when it comes to hills cadence is more important than speed? I'm still getting used to shifting for hills and I was just wondering because I kinda feel silly pedaling so much and not going very fast. Also I wanted ya'lls opinion on my plan. I know the numbers are small compared to most but then I'm about 135lbs over weight and I haven't exercised p.e. in high school. so... I started out riding 15 minutes a day. then I started adding one minute at a time. I'm up to 17 mins but I noticed my average speed and miles went down today. I was thinking that I should stay with 17 until they come back up. My other idea was to stay at one time until I could go 10mph and then start going longer and longer. What do yall think? |

| Hi everyone, I'm new to the calorie-count and I recently bought a new bike. When I was younger I rode and rode and rode. I went everywhere on my bike. Now I want to ride for pleasure and for a bit of exercise. I'm considerably overweight and out of shape so I'm taking this all VERY slow. I've been riding about 3 miles a day so far and then doing a bit of leisurely walking with some friends or family. I have a few questions. First, when I'm going up a hill should I shift gears toward the low end (1 or 2) or towards the other end? I've always moved into higher gears to get up a hill but my dad says he does it the other way. My other question is, is it better to count minutes or miles? I'm riding on some back roads here in Alabama and there are some tough hills so just the few miles I'm doing is leaving my legs worn out ( I have fun going up the stair in my apartment). Oh and one more question and this is kinda embarrassing. My bottom feels very bruised. I've been riding less than a week and I was wondering if this will go away. I have a very big seat. I have another seat that is gel but it is ugly, is it worth it to change? Thanks for all the help! | |||
