thanks! that definitely helps.

i'm talking about soft-serve... the self-serve kind they have at cafeterias and buffets and such... i think low-fat frozen yogurt soft serve (hopefully it is what the sign says it is? i'm guessing it's probably this).

and i'm making it myself at the dining hall, and pack it tight... haha.

I am sooo with you!

I'm also going to be a junior and I'm transferring schools for the second time in the fall.  So, getting used to a new routine again might be difficult but I'll be at a big university with amazing exercise facilities and intramural sports and a wonderful, varied cafeteria, and will have my own kitchen as well. Hooray!

Right now I really am going to have trouble losing weight while at home for the summer, though.  It's hard to suddenly have a kitchen full of food... I'm constantly wanting to pick and eat everything in sight.  I just got a membership to the gym though, and my goal is to go at least 5 days a week.

yea, i agree to certain extent, but you can't deny that in some instances (i'm a college student), there are definitely days where it is just not possible to get plenty of sleep or eat totally balanced meals, and a little extra umph is needed to finish a project at 4:30 in the morning...

that said, i think most of the energy sare terribly unhealthy and definitely try to stay away from them, and tend to only go for them around midterm/finals week.

yea, why the face? i'd say hourglass is the best you can be! pure feminine opinion though...

does it annoy anyone else when people are talking about body types and weight loss, trying to speak in an open-minded way and say things like, "well, some women are really thin, and some women are naturally a little more curvy and voluptuous, and both are beautiful!"  i just want to yell, ANDDD some women aren't thin at all and they have close to no curves, and that's beautiful too, OK?

Calorie Count Can someone explain the percentages on the analysis? Apr 07 2008
17:24 (UTC)

yea, i was wondering the same thing...   i was worried about the fact that i already have 47% fat in my analysis... all i've eaten is chicken breast and a large salad, but i'm guessing the olive oil and sunflower seeds in the salad are what made the fat percentage so high? as long as i continue to eat things low in fat throughout the rest of the day i guess it will even out.  I'm also going for a high protein diet, and it's more difficult than i thought...

Health & Support Birthcontrol causing depression? Oct 08 2007

i don't know personally, but one of my very good friends had the same problem. i'm not sure if she was taking yaz, or something else, but the birth control definitely cause her some emotional prolblems. i'm not an expert at allll, but i know birth control is a really intense medication, and i've definitely heard of it causing depression before, not just from this one friend.

i'm enjoying being healthy, but i really don't feel like calorie counting is always the best idea for everyone.

i've been doing it for about 4 weeks, and have actually started developing an eating disorder.    i think it's really good to get a hang of how many calories are in the things i eat, but sooooo much control is not healthy for me, mentally.  it's just incouraging my obsessive, perfectionist side.  and i'm certainly uncomfortable with showing that to my friends/boyfriend. probably because they will tell me how unhealthy it seems. and i will know they are right.

i've never had any trouble with body image, but am now freaking out about needing to pretty much fast because i'm going to visit my boyfriend who i haven't seen in ages.

i've really learned a lot from the calorie counting, and am much more conscious of how many calories i'm eating and what kinda of food i'm taking in, and also how much energy i'm burning, which i can all really get a lot of positive things out of. but the obsessiveness of counting every calorie every day has just resulted in me having sudden binge outbursts, then trying to purge those... so i think i'm gonna quit.  i definitely will keep up with a healthy diet and excersize and all. but this has gotta stop.

i'm not saying you need to stop, this could be really beneficial for some, but it has all just backfired for me.
