Hi All. I am in England now. just wanted to check in with you to let you know i arrived.

I will check in with you all next week when i get home. I don't expect that I will have lost anything by then, but rather gained, as I am working and on a small vacation. I will do my best.

HI All, this week went really well again for me. Going on my 3rd week now of my medically supervised program. I don't think I've ever drank so much water in my life! Love the walking everynight. Even my boyfriend has started going with me and has joined the wagon of eating less and more healthy.

Team Devbanana:

Starting Weight this week: 163.5

Ending Weight this week: 159.5

Total lost this week: 4 lbs.!!!! :)

Total Lost so far: 8.5 lbs (yea!!!)

Goal for next week: 3-5 lbs.

Looks like i reached my mini goal for the 17th, which was 160. I am leaving for London Saturday night, so I won't weigh in for Sunday, but will weigh in Saturday morning so we are tallied. For those of you who are stuck, i ate nothing but protein for five days, then added in small servings of fruit and veggies after that. Lots of water. A minimum of 8 16fl. oz. bottles everyday and at least a 1/2 hour of walking every night. It seems to be working out pretty good so far. The first five days was the hardest but i made it through. Just a little story if you are having trouble.

Hi All,didn't feel like checking in with you all since my starting weight last week was 169 and the ending was 170. WEll, now you know. I went to my doctor last week and am on that program I told you all about. I can definitely check in with some major confidence today and let you know that I found a way to make it all go away.

Total Lost since started: 5.5 lbs.

Goal for next week: 3-5 lbs.

Let me just tell you, that this last week has been really tuff for me. I started this medically supervised weight loss program with my doctor and it is very rewarding and healthy. I check in with him weekly as I do all of you and i'm not starving myself, just learning how to control what i eat. There is a cherry pastry sitting on my counter that I have wanted to eat all week. It's wrapped in plastic. You can probably imagine how badly I've been wanting to eat it. Talk about self control. Also I'm drinking 8 16oz bottles of water daily, and peeing like crazy. It's working, clearly. I am also walking at least a half hour everyday. Teaching my body to pull fat out of the stored areas where it just sits. I feel much better and am finally out of my plateau.

Good Day All. Not a good week for me. Nor will next week be. I wil do my best. This week was preparing for conferences and trade shows and my daughters birthday. Next week is conferences and trade shows and my boyfriends birthday. My doctor sent a flyer for weight loss and maintenence and I have an appointment. Hopefully that will do the trick. His wife has lost alot of weight and looks fabulous! The Yoga class did not pan out yet. Will keep you all advised.

Hi All. Looks like i am the only one signing in today. Still stuck in the plateau. Still working on it. Also trying to quit smoking. Two of the hardest things I've ever had to do, lose weight and stop smoking. Went from a pack a day to like 5 a day, and use the patch to help. wish I could do as well with food. I just get so hungry. I will hopefully have better news nest week.

Hi All ... same old situation. Stuck in a plateau. Am trying something different this week, as I have found a Yoga and dance studio that just opened up near my house. It's very affordable and it's something I've been looking for for quite some time now. Cross your fingers and I let you know how it goes.

Happy New Year All! I am a little disappointed in myself as today's weigh in will not show that I made my mini goal. I have a problem with the plateau and not being able to get passed the carbs. I'm sorry to my team and hopefully the new year will work out better.

Merry Christmas All! I Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season thus far. I am working extra hard and have been the last couple weeks. Lots and lots of water. Seems to be working out well.

Good Morning All! This week was much better in the calorie department and less better in the excercise area. Last night we went to a Christmas party and I did very well with all the hor deorves? whatever, but they were very good. Only one helping of them. Then lots of Iced Tea and coffee. When Dinner came, I had a New York Strip, vegetables and Rosemary Potatoes. The Potatoes were really good, and i could actually count how many were on the plate! What killed me was the dessert. Of course I couldn't turn it down. Turtle Pie. Not a tradtional one either. IT was like eating a chocolate bar with butter! So good. I ate 3/4 of it. Tomorrow is my birthday and we are going out for dinner. I will do very well then.

Hi There All! Still not doing very well. I think I'm doing ok by not eating excessively, yet when I check, it's repeatedely been too much. I will eat like twice a day, heavy calorie, and think that so little must mean no gain. WRONG!!! I'm doing better at moving around, but not with the intake of calorie's. Sorry team. I will try harder this week and make everyone proud.

Good Morning All! Not a very good week as far as "loss" for me I'm afraid. I did however, go to the gym and totally loved it!! I was a guest of my boss, and it was hard, but fantastic. Talk about getting motivated. I'm online looking into membership as we speak! Just awesome!

Thanks Cap'n! :) i'm still at 25.8, but trying very hard not to eat those snacks! Geese Louise! what a battle. You never really know how hard it is to stop eating cakes and brownies and pies, when that seems to be the only type of snack around! I'm off to the store today to get something good, yummy and not of pastry descendt!!!(sp)?  You know what I mean.

i'm back up to 166 today and will continue my battle. i must go through like a case of water a day too and I still hit those nasty plateau's.

Hope everyone else is doing great!

Well I'd like to say welcome to jstewardsdesigns and kaptain9!

 

I love the pastries and hostess! So you are in the right place! :P

In just a week, my BMI went from 26.2? to 25.8 N I'VE lost 4 pounds in the last 2 months. It starts to fall off faster when you committ and have groups like this to run too when you need it.

Thanks Coach! It really feels good knowing I too, didn't miss out on all that the feast had to offer, and still managed to stay on track.

That chocolate pecan pie sounds really good, and I don't like pecan pie. :) I thought I was the only one who got to the stage of "whatever! I'm just gunna eat that hostess ho-ho!". I too drink lots of water.

Good for you in the loss! I too have a BMI of 25.8 now and am currently working on a constant excercise routine to help that along.

Good Morning All! I am on a roll! Went to 7-11 last night and saw they had two new kinds of candy. I bought two sets of each, one for me and one for my man. I only took one bite of one of the candy bars and gave the rest to him. :) Wasn't as good as I thought.

I am finding that I can eat less if I have breakfast. I love breakfast but can't seem to eat it until like 10! I am working on that, and finding oatmeal and a banana are do-able! Quick, low cal and it tastes good! :)

ok, well. I did rather well yesterday for The Feast!! The one thing that got me was the dessert, of course. I just tallied up my intake from yesterday, and no I didn't cheat on what I had, and for the size plate I had, I came up with 1451 in calories. Yea! Now for the bad part. I went the extra mile and had dessert! I just couldn't let it sit there. I had a piece of homemade apple/cranberry pie. No cool whip tho, just the pie. It was a pretty darn good pie too! I couldn't eat the whole piece, but on here, you can't just put how many bites you had, so I was charged with the entire piece. I can't beleive it! It shot my intake up by 455 calories!!! Dang! Oh well. I made up for it today by eating very little. Today, i've only taken in a little over 1200. And I guess what really matters here is that the scale says I lost a half a pound this week. Yea! Some is better than none!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Oh and my BMI is at 26.

Ok, here is my check in for the day~!

 

So far have not had anything too bad, and didn't totally crave anything naughty. Have kept within my calorie intake for the day! Yea! I even got to go out for lunch and still managed to stay good. Sushi. Good thing i like it! :) Tonight will be the big test as far as motivation, as tonight is kinda cold out and i really don't want to go for my walk. I will do it anyway because it's only a matter of getting out there, then it will be ok. I've also started to tell myself that at least 20 minutes of calasthetics? is a good thing just before a shower and bed. :)

I was reading your post and I, like you, have not reached my goal weight either and can't wait for it to happen. I keep hitting the "plateau" aspect and get extremely frustrated with that. Someday! :)

Good for you! As I still can't figure that one out; passing the plateau. I can't seem to get passed losing 5 pounds. I just get really hungry. I would have to guess that it stems from my passed life where i would eat as much as i could in one sitting because i didn't know if I would eat the next day or not. I can make a full 5 course dinner and have it all eaten before everybody sits down at the table to eat theirs. Pretty bad, huh?

Oh well, I will keep trying to remember portion control and healthier alternatives.

Again, great for you about the plateau. I'm jealous! :)

Hi Kristin, I would love to join. I will check in daily. My problem is staying away from pastries and hostess!! I lose three to five pounds, then in two days it's back.

Hi Quinn! and welcome. I too must introduce myself. I joined September 18th. I am amazed at some of the posts everybody lists. When I think of addicitons, I think of all my own, and not one of them was food. I am 37, and have 2 teenagers, one boy and one girl. I see my 17 year old son and how tall and thin and active he is. Then there's my 14 year old daughter who is beautiful, but not active at all. And she, like me, LOVE the pastries. I though, have always been active. Growing up I was involved in all the sports, and only until 9 years ago did I start laying around. I am now trying to get myself back in the swing of things and be more active. I also try to show my daughter that we can be full without bread and butter! :) Do you or anyone else who might read this, have any suggesstions as to how i can get her to be more active? IT's hard when you dont' want to hurt feelings, but everything you say is heard as a negative.

Also, i started at 170 pounds and have gotten down to as low as 165. My goal is to be at 145-150 by May 31st. I have almost completely stopped the desserts, yet find when I do have one muffin, the jiggle in the belly returns instantly! I have also started walking for at least an hour 3 nights a week. Is there anything more I can do and not get burned out?

I'm with you when it comes to hating the gym. but i also want to get into the excercise thing and lose quickly. i just can't stand the jello belly any more. i walk 3 days a week for an hour. how can i improve that? :) i mean my god, my meter says i have to burn 2000 a day to reach my goal.
