Fitness Good Treadmill, feed back wanted Feb 07 2008

hey!

my husband and I bought a treadmill in Dec.  We bought the Precor 9.33 treadmill.  We LOVE it!!!  it is 3.0 hp.  It cost us about $3800.  but, when we were looking, we knew we wanted something that could replace our gym membership, something that would last for a very long time, and something that would not be all wobbly like most home treadmills.  The Precor is all that!  It came with a 10 year warranty too!

The Precor we bought also has this great feature that sounds like it could be good for you.  The treadmill adjusts to your stride, meaning instead of the treadmill helping you along by pushing you at a steady rate, (you still set the pace of course), it will adjust to your stride so you are working harder.  Basically, it is the next best thing to running outside.

I would definitely recommend this treadmill.  I know Precor has been around for a long time, and you see their equipment in gyms, so it has to be a good brand.  The treadmill has 2 user functions, meaning it can store information for 2 users.  So, you enter in your age, height, weight, etc.  It comes with a wireless heart rate monitor, which I also love, since I have never used anything other than the monitors that are on the siderails.

Check it out!

thanks for your opinions.

i am 5'7.5" and 163 lbs currently.  i am going to try to do as much cardio as i can..3 days of HIIT and maybe 2-3 days of a moderate intensity steady state.  the problem is i work night shift (7:30 pm-8 am 3 days a week, sometimes more if i am working overtime shifts).  i would really like to work out before i go to work, but i am SO drained when i wake up.  i just can't imagine having to wake up 30 minutes early (sad that 30 minutes are so precious :))..and hop on the treadmill right away.  i really blame a lot of my weight gain on working nights (3 1/2 yrs now).  but the money is so much better!!

just venting..

yeah, i am upping my water intake, and the past couple days have been tracking my calories and eating every 3-4 hrs.

i just want to know if i need to add in weight lifting..how many days i should add in..or if i should use the extra time to do more cardio..maybe only do 1-2 days of weights?

Weight Loss Is this a good start? .. start over anyway.. Feb 03 2008

it seems like you need to eat more for breakfast...110 calories doesn't seem like very much and i have read that you should eat the most calories in the morning.  also, i have been trying to eat a mix of protein and carbs with every meal and snack.

 just my thoughts :)
