Losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise. If your not eating few enough calories even though your working out it still wont matter. You need some sort of deficit each week to lose weight. Also you could be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat which could be causing the measurments to be larger. Try cardio for a while to burn the fat, and make sure you calorie deficit is at least 500 calories a day, which would put you at losing about 1 pound per week. |

No i am not thinking about doing it i have already lost 12 pounds on my own eating healthy i was wondering cause I read the article about Oprah and fasting and was just curious, casue it seemed to contradict what people always say about this so called "starvation mode" |

ya i know about anorexia, but i read that Oprah one to went on a 500 calorie supervised diet and lost alot of weight so I was just wondering if it actually does work..... |

I am by know means an expert on any of this, but to be honest I have heard that it takes a long while before starvation mode actually kicks in so I dont think 1 or 2 days of not reaching your target calorie intake will hurt. The worst that would happen would be that you would actually drop a pound from not eating, but if you started eating again like alot the next couple of days after this you will probably put it back on plus mayb even more.........hope this helps |

Im 5'5 and weight 137 right now........my goal is between 105 and 115. I will see how I look at 115 and then decide if I want to lose more weight after that. |
