Reward yourself for not giving in to temptation. Like, if you don't eat all that crap you will treat yourself to a pedicure/manicure etc. Or if you know you can control yourself, have some popcorn or some juice or whatever but just a small amount & make sure you count for it in your daily calories. I find that if I let myself have it I don't want it so badly anymore & I wont binge.

I am one of those 'coming out with ED' people. I'm not looking for attention I just don't see the point of getting support from people who don't know my background. Advice tends to be different for those with EDs because they never really get rid of it. That my 2 cents worth.

Know it alls drive me nuts!!!!
I was happily enjoying my caramelised banana & small amount of chocolate icecream which my Dad made me as a TREAT when my "oh so more perfect that me" sister turned around & started lecturing me about how fattening chocolate icecream is.
I eat tons of fruit/veg/legumes/nuts/leanchicken/fish/milk/ water & yet my devilish treat for the week is going to make me fat?
(just had to get that off my chest she only said it like, 30mins ago!)

Weight Loss Toxic Friends? Oct 01 2007

I agree with everyone above, cal your friends on it. I had the same problem with my boyfriends Mum. Every meal she cooks fried chips, which i swap for my boyfriends pumpkin & any other vegies he doesn't want. Every meal, without fail, she starts lecturing me "oh your not FAT, girls are SUPPOSED to have a bit of meat on their bones, its natural!" etc etc. Last meal I had at their house, when she started her little rant, I simply replied "well i've never once said to you that I think i'm fat, your the one who is constantly saying it so maybe your the one who actually thinks so? Do you WANT me to go on a diet Christine? Is that what your implying every single meal time when I opt for healthier vegetables rather than the greasy junk you attempt to force down my throat?" She shutup. =D

I'm a severe asthmatic too. Its a big pain in the arse because it does limit the excercises you can do but power walking tends to be a good one, doesn't strain your lungs but better than a stroll. Also try a gym class like cardio kick boxing (best ever!) or get a gym instucter to make a cardio program for you taking into acount your asthma. Asthma is a big pain but you can work around it.

Don't do it! You may start off ok thinking like this but you end up just undereating, getting WAY hungry & then binging which undoes all your hard work! Stick to the real numbers, trust me its better in the long run!

Foods Gaining weight...am I doing it the right way? Sep 28 2007

You WILL gain weight eating that. I promise you!
I went from eating 200-300 cals a day to 1300 cals & within a week I had gained my weight back. Living on 400 cals a day means thw weight you have lost is 'water weight' which means you've been losing fluids so you look lighter ob the scales but you most likely still have all the fat you originally had. Don't worry though, assuming you eat the right things, your body will stay at a healthy weight when it gets there!

Mine was when my Mum came back from a holiday with a t shirt for me & my sister (skinnier than me) turned around and said "you might as well give it to me there is no way a medium will fit HER" Heartbroken? YES.

Health & Support arthritis at 26!? Sep 27 2007
05:15 (UTC)

My brother has had diagnosed arthritis since he was 9 (now 13). He was in remission after being on an anti-cancer drug but it has returned worse than ever. He is unlucky but many children also have arthritis. It is not an 'old persons' disease as so many people believe.

You may not have arthiritis but you abviously have something. I agree with megmc1355: get a second opinion. From a totally different clinic even. I have found that most doctors who work together are similar in diagnosis's
