yeah, thats sounds very hard.

I find it hard to not eat after say 9pm, so 3pm would just be crazy for me.  I mean, 3 pm I am ususally still in class or have just gotten out of class.  Its' pretty much when my day's work actually starts.  To not eat at all is Gah.

100 lbs? That, is incredible. You're more than halfway there and like the other poster said, just take it one day at a time.  Or for the time being, try to maintain or so, so it dosnet seem as hard.  I'm sure you've probably recieved compliments on how much better you look, so just think about all that, and about how healthy/great you'll feel when you reach your goal.

keep at it! :)

Fitness Ashamed to go to the gym Oct 05 2007

hey there, i used to be terrified by the thought of the gym

when i was in highschool, i was the antithesis of athletic (a bit better now) and my parents would hassle me about running and going to the gym (even though neither of them did any such activity)

but yeah, just start going to the gym.  I know the equipment looks intimdiating (i'm still not sure how some of them work) but just pace yourself .  Start doing some cardio, just spend half an hour or so walking on the trendmill or going on the elliptical and what not

and seriously though, even though you'll see Tons of gym-bunnies with their perfect abs and biceps, you'll never be the most out-of-shape person there either :)

so yeah, join in on the gym routine!!

Weight Loss When you're tired... does that affect your eating? Oct 02 2007

Original Post by faybeebaby:

Definately! I'm in college, and I tend to binge more during mid-terms and finals (yeah some of it is stress-eating) but I'm also tired and craving more! Think though, you're awake longer, and doing things when you'd usually be sleeping, your body needs those extra calories...

Also, it's far more tempting to eat takeout or fast food when you're tired and don't feel like preparing food.

the finals and midterms thing is so true

when i have labs or reports due, or am pulling all nighters, the will to not binge, like, breaks down, completely.

Weight Loss I'm 5'3, I'm Asian, And I Am Not Built On A Tiny Frame!!! Oct 02 2007

hm i'm asian too, but it seems like i'm the only guy here

it's odd. I'm 6'2, and 220 which makes me a pretty big guy, so i kinda assumed i'd be a big frame.  but after the whole hand-around-wrist thing, turns out i'm just medium/avg frame. how odd :-x

anyways, here's to losing all the excess in the gut area! :-p

Foods Please help a sushi-lover dieting-girl : ) Oct 01 2007
06:53 (UTC)

like many have said, sushi is one of the places you can go when eating out without feeling guilt about it

i too am a sushi lover, and while you can go all out for the fancy rolls, you can also curb yourself and get just a good meal by choosing some alternatives

Chirasi (sashimi on rice) is pretty good , and filling too :) If you want to shy away from the rice, you can also just do Sashimi pieces.  Most japanese/sushi places will have some combo of sorts.  Oh, and since its just rice and fish, its a lot easier to estimate and log in than the sushi crab mayo rolls and what not

Weight Loss My parents think I am fat. Now I think I am fat Oct 01 2007

my parents have also criticzed my weight all my life.

although it is rough to admit, I think at some point one has to realize that not everyone in our life, even those close to us, are supportive in our dieting efforts or sensitive to our body image

in the end, its how you feel.  like many have said, your no where close to being overweight...at all. and dont lose  8lbs to please them.  if you strongly feel like you want to lose weight or be more healthy, then sure, maybe consider it.  but dont do it for your parents

i never never buy popcorn at movies

but , every now and then, when I go with a big group, "someone" will buy a gigantic bag, and I will not be able to resist :( curse that "someone"!!!

but yeah, popcorn at theaters has loads of salt and butter already added. Like lovestonedtim said, bring your own snack if you really need something :)
