yeah i understand the "skinny-fat" thing. I came to CC when i realized i was getting flabbier(even though i have a lowish BMI). I'm 5'10.5" 125lbs. At first i just thought i had to lose weight to get to my goal weight of 110-115ish(not healthy I know - at least everyone on CC freaks out enough to make that obvious). I ended up losing 7lbs(i started at 132), but now i am maintaining at 125 and eating 1500-1800cals a day. Now i realize like you that i just need tone up and get more muscle which will probably increase my BMI but get rid of.............dare I say it?........FAT!!!!!!! alright, jk. I know i'm not fat, but just need to tone.
ILOVE2SAIL: We have pretty much the same stats!!! I had the tummy problem too! My stomach has less flab now, but still a little and i bloat alot, but my biggest problem is butt/thighs. I'm an apple shape! lol. it's nice to find someone else who's similar |

Halle Berry because she is SO hot and gorgeous. She is pretty much the essence of beauty........good smile, clear milky skin, hot bod, great hair, sparkling eyes........this list could go on forever. Most people don't think of Nicole Kidman as really beautiful, but I love her because she is really white like me and she still looks gorgeous at 40yrs old!! Angelina Jolie because she always looks smokin hot no matter what she's doing. I think she still looks gorgeous now even though other people seem to disagree. |

| i understand your being concerned Undertherainbow, but lately i've been eating around 1900 cals for the last few days and i'm not even that stressed about losing weight right now. sure, i'll probably get down to 120 eventually, but even 115 now seems pretty low to me. | |||

| Thanks for the information Udokier. I will definitely research body fat percentages as that seems more informative and accurate than BMI.(especially since BMI even varies from site to site). I would consult with my doctor, but I don't have one! lol. seriously though, i haven't had one since i was 8 and had a pediatrician.(mostly because i've always been healthy and i never needed a doctor). Ya know what they say, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"........and i do have alot of apples |

| those people are probably just jealous of your body and it makes them feel guilty that they aren't trying to be healthy like you. If they saw you gorging on junk food, it would make them feel better about themselves. And even if they are on a diet too, they are probably just jealous that you already look good and will look even better after some dieting. | |||

| i dont really have any advice, but i do experience the same problem. I know i'm not really fat, but i don't have that much muscle and all my fat is in my butt and thighs. So i'm a skinny person with a fat butt and thighs. The only problem is if i told anyone that i wanted to tone my body up they would just start shoving food down my throat. I guess you could tell people that you were trying to be "healthy and fit" instead of losing weight. | |||

| thanks for the info guys. i will definitely try to keep more yummy healthy food around. I should start making my own sweets so i can make it low cal and healthy(like those brownies smwhipple mentioned). My mom really needs to buy some more fruit too(all we have is apples.....don't get me wrong, i LOVE apples........but 3 servings of apples a day? lol |

| Yeah, well i'm 124lbs, but my goal is 120. But really it depends on the height of the person. A 5'2" lady at 120lbs has a BMI of 21.9, whereas a 5'10" lady has a BMI of 17.2. There's a big difference. | |||

| I wake up in the morning and pee and then i weight myself before i've eaten or drunken anything. I count that as my weight, but i always weigh myself 3-5 more times a day anyways. i'm definitey addicted. lol. | |||

| well the bmi tools on cc say that you are underweight, but i think if you eat really healthy(make sure at least 1200cals a day) and if you exercise, you should be able to tone up your body and it will look better. I have the same problem cause i'm at an underweight BMI, but i still have gross parts on my body. How old are you? | |||

| I used to have alot of trouble going to sleep too. What helps is to create a routine before bed so your body knows it's going to sleep soon. For example you could take a bath every day before bed(it helps to relax). Or you could read(then your mind is thinking about the book and not tomorow's events). | |||

ok. here is my eating for today: breakfast: 1 cup trader joe's cheerios( 110cals) soy milk(70cals) 1 piece cinamon raisin swirl bread(190cals) lunch: 1/2 apple(36cals) raw sugar snap peas(what ever theyre called) (17cals) 1 piece cinamon raisin swirl bread(190cals) 1/2 plain rice cake(35cals) snack: 1 chip and salsa(12cals) 1 brownie(150cals) dinner(i'm eating it right now): 1 piece garlic parmesan toast(i think 105cals) salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and balsamic dressing(115cals)
that's about 1050cals so i'll probably eat 150cals later at work. |
