Hi.  We were married a few months ago and had lots of people travel to our wedding so we bought everyone a silver luggage tag - they were a big hit.

Enjoy your wedding, its the best day of you life

Hi everyone.  I wont be weighing in this week.  I live in Victoria in Australia and our state has been burned to a cinder with bushfires, nearly 200 lives lost so far and 700+ have lost home, towns have been wiped out - places I always went for weekends away.  My focus on losing the last few kgs is gone, I just want to focus on my family, friends and how lucky I am to still have a home.  So good luck to everyone with their weight loss journeys.  I am off to spend time  with my loved ones and to start raising funds for those people that have nothing left.

SW (end 2006): 181

SW (of this challenge): 136

GW: 126

29/12/08: 132 - on track, back to healthy eating and working out at the gym.

5/01/09: 134 - so dissappointed, its been a really bad week.  Today is a new start, going to plan all my meals for the week and get back on track.

12/01/09: 134 - exercising more, eating better but no change.  I was 132 during the week, so up and down - getting frustrated.  The last 10 pounds are so hard to lose.

19/01/09: 132 - finally back to 132, why is it so easy to put back on and so hard to lose?  Would love to be 130 next week!

26/01/09: 132.9 - hoping its just another plateau.  Im doing more weights, exercising more and eating better.  Maybe im not meant to go much lower?

2/2/09: 132.4 - I will take the .5 of a pound.  It is still a loss.  Been 40-45C all week, making exercise very hard.

Good luck everyone and keep up the good work

What a great idea, im finding it hard to restrict myself with nuts so this may be the way to go.  Just wondering, how many 'snack bags' do you eat a day?  Im worried im having to many snacks.

Hi yaypalmtrees

My fiance is often away for extended periods of time with work.  2 years ago he was away for nearly a year, only coming home for a few weekends.  I piled on the weight and reached 180 pounds.  It was purely comfort and emotional eating.  However, over the last 15 months I have now got to my goal weight of 132 pounds.  My fiance was only away for a few months this time but her certainly noticed the last 10 pounds that I had lost and trust me, the look on his face made it all worth while.  I have found that the best way to cope is to make sure you have something special to look forward to each week and focus on that, not how many more months it is, e.g. a massage, a manicure, a walk with friends, family visit etc.  These special events and treats for yourself will keep you more positive and each time I feel like eating junk, I go for a walk even its just around the block.

Hope this helps

Health & Support alergic to dairy... lactose intolerant...? Jan 12 2008

Hi.  It best to have an allergy test if you are worried, or like everyone else said, eliminate them from your diet and see if it helps.   Gradually add one thing at a time then you can work out what is upsetting your stomach.

Dairy allergic is a whole new thing.  I am allergic to dairy and it makes life very difficult.  Traces of milk and dairy are in everything.  If I even have a trace of dairy then I have breathing problems, stomach problems and my body responds with immune problems. Not fun.  It sounds like you may be intolerant so try the elimination method and see if it helps.

Good Luck

Hi.  I just had a full allergy test and it showed im allergic to cateinase which is the protein in milk.  Its been 5 days since the test and I am already seeing the benefits of cutting all dairy from my diet.

www.allergytest.co.uk

It cost me 49 pounds.  It is a non-invasive test and was the best money I have ever spent.  I am in South West england, but im sure there would be a place near you.  Just call them and find out, thats what I did.

hope this helps

Hi T_K.   I have just increased the difficulty of my ab workout as I wasnt feeling anything anymore.  I now use a medicine ball and lift my legs when do crunches, 1/2 way up I hold the crunch and move the ball from side to side.  The other one is to do abs on a BOSU ball.  They are really difficult and really work the core as well as the abs.  It takes a while to get your balance but you can really feel it working.  Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. I have now lost 17.5 kg (approx 38 pounds) and have dropped from a UK 16 to a UK 10.  I can see the difference in photos but when I look in the mirror all I can see is the 'fat me' still.  Im worried that I will never see my body for how it is and will want to keep losing weight, even though I only 5 pounds off my goal weight.  Can anyone else relate to this?

Weight Loss Losing INCHES Challenge Oct 08 2007

Hi I would really like to join.  I have nearly reached my goal weight (5-7lbs to go) but feel really flabby still, so think inches is the way to go.

Bust: 34 - keep same

Waist (smallest): 29 - lose 1

Waist (largest): 34 - lose 2

Hips: 37 - lose 2

Thighs: 22 - lose 2

Arms: 11 - lose 1

Aiming to lose these inches 2 months.  Its just such hard work trying to do weights 3 times a week plus cardio - hoping the pain will be worth it!

hi.  What a great forum.  I was 175 pounds and now I am down to 136. I am 5' 8".  My long term goal is 132 pounds, but the last 4 pounds are proving the hardest to lose!  I have really reached a plateau.  I lost 1 pound last week but that was the first time in 3 weeks.  I have saved up and am starting with a personal trainer on Monday - once every 2 weeks for the next 2 months.  Fingers crossed he can help me get the last few pounds off and tone up.  My goal is to reach a US size 6!

Thanks for  this forum, nice to know there are others out there with same struggle.  Everyone keeps saying you are thin, why did you need to lose more?  But I still have the extra belly flab that has to go and I want to be confident and comfortable in a size 6.
