hey, meg! I've been struggling with anorexia too for about three years now, it's tough, but it's defetly worth getting over. At first it might seem relaly scary, but I knwo you can do it. I was kdian in big trouble with my weight for a while, but I pulled out adn gained back the 25 lbs. Basicly, idk, I was kdain on my own for this one. at first you'll probbaly feel prone to binging, adn it's only natural concidering you denied yoruself for so long, I msut have binged for nearly a month. the only way to prevent this is to chill out. the more you worry, the more you'll eat. I woudl suggest eating smartly untill like 6 pm, then having something you feel safe about adn uppign the calories slowly, that way you dont' panic. also talk to your mom about seeing someone, it really helps. best of luck with this. let yoru love of soccer motivate you to stay healthy!

it's because muscle wieghs more then fat. you probbaly lost like 15 lbs of fat and gained 8 of muslce. not even kidding. leik I usualy weigh 123, but when I do track/xc I gain 6 lbs. it's all muscle I sware. now you might think, well screw muscle, but with more muscle you'll have a faster metabolism and burn fat more easily. for a good runner the really good inshape, thin looking wieght for someone liek 5'7 is 150ish. for an out of shape person it would be less. trust me, it works. PLUS, dont' alwasy look at the scale to guage your progress, look at how you look and feel in cloths and in the mirror. measurements also help! good luck with the exercise!

9 lbvs a month is too much?! thats' news to me. I'm like slightly underweight, and if I even eat like 1200 cals a day I'd loose at least 13ish lbs a month, maybe more...... i gues ti varies for the individual

ok, what you were saygin about fat gogin last/ other stuff.... well I usaed to be anorexic. I exercized alto and ate leik the person above was eating. the only medicval probelm I have now is that my shins are crap, as in I get stress fractures alot (I didnt' haev any calcium for a logn time). but, so you think I was takign stuff away form my organs any way, and that I jsut recovered soon enough to not have the damage be perminent? cause liek at my lightest, I relaly had hardley any fat, i was 110 and I'm 5'8. dont' worry I wiegh alot more now, but jsut curious, do you think the exercize made me burn the fat, or do you think I did do inside damge, and that the fat came off after the inner stuff was shot?

hey guys, this is FUNNY! I use splenda plenty, but this is great. gues how they invented it? they were testing pestacide and the scientist todl his helper to "test" the chemicle, well the guy thought he said "taste" so he tasted it and it was sweet. NO joke, lol. then the guy put some in his tea and is reminded, "you knwo that stuff might be toxic" he replys, "eh, we'll live" (got this from an article on the history of artificial sweetneers in the New Yorker, you can go to their web site to read it, it's interesting)

I'm 16. yeah, I'm aware it's a problem... I've been diagnosed with anorexia (they dont' kwno about the puking) adn have gone to some one for help, but my mom stopped taking me there. I know I got to stop, idk.... life gets tough.... I guess. omg, my stomic hurts...... idk what to do, I cant' tell any one.... but I'm scared.

ok, well guys, it's been a day, and I hadnt' read what you wrote so I didnt' panic too much, and it feels a little better now, still hurts and sticks out though.... but I'm not dead so do you think it'
s still a probelm, you have no idea hwo scared I am. I can't tell any one, it'd be suich a let down to my parents. I told my mom about my stomic, leaving out the pukign part and she told me I obsess to much, and I'm jsut turnign into a nicely curved women...... :(

katheryn this is SERIOUS stuff. I have been suffering from anorexia/belimia for about three years now, it's not fun. If you are makgin yoruself puek at all, you haev a probelm, and I'm beggign you to go see someone befroe it gets out fo controle. At first I jsut deited, but then when I'd mess up, I'd puke. at first it was once a week, then twice, now, befroe Iknew it, I find myself dogin it three tiems a day. It's no way to live. it's so unhealthy. PLease get help early, ti makes it so much easier later. Good luck, adn feel free to contact me.

hey, I'm 16. I agree with the above. I mean, you're pretyy much in ok range for wieght, and it's fine to want to get healthy, but don't obsess. I have been strugglgin with an eating disorder for some years now and it's not fun. But health is a good thing. just do what feels good and stay healthy.

thanks for the tip. I was dogin pretty well and god down from 132 to 125ish (122 one day) but I kdian binged over the week end and my stomic is all smollen. I didnt' eat today, but it;'s still leik sticking out leik nuts and I wiegh 127. um, if asny one replys also I'm kdian scared about something.... um, I sometimes throw up, and well I didnt' that alto this weekend, and now my stmoic is so swollen, but i dont' think it's food, I'm really scared.....

yes, I knwo abtou terry shivo. I knwo belimia is really bad, but first of all you DON't undertsand it AT all. It's not leik I was like, hum I want to be thin, let me puke my guts out. no, it's not that way. but let me tell you something. I used to puke at leat ojce a day after eatgin somethgin liek three grapes. But guess what? I have will power. I havent' puked for one month strait. I'm proud of myself for over comgin this, it's really hard, you DON'T understand what it's liek, but I've gone through it and I'm working my hardest to move on. PLease try to understand that.

UGH! no, that's not what I'm saygin, what I'm saygin is that 1.5 cups of searal is not hard to eat, espesually if you've bene told that fiber makes you loose wieght. jeez, I'm just trying to be help ful.....

WOH! I really dont' think diet pills are a good idea! not at all. first of all they have many BAD BAD side affects including: hair loss, msucle loss, bone density loss, stroke, heart attack, and perminent heart damage. I think it's a really bad idea. Half dont' work and the other half coudl kill you. I think it's worth a little more disaplin to avoid the risks.

yeah, sorry I ment one half cup of fiber one has over 50% so, yeah, really easy to over dose. and it's really hard on yoru stomic, I mean, yeah, tis' good, but eat 1.5 cups a day and your hurtign yourself badly.

tahnks, yeah, I've tried canned chiken couse it's 98% fat free and obviously has lots of protien. what do you think about protien shakes, just curious, are they worth it?

hey, well first of all GOOD JOB! it's awsome that your exercising and stuff, you shoudl be proud of how far you've come. I woudl say, you probbaly platued, and belive iot or not, you might need to actually up your cals for abtou a week. it might help. but yeah, leik the obove, you might not feela difference, btu muscle ways MORE then fat, so when you gain muscle you'll gain wieght. I'm a runner, and I gain about 7 lbs when I'm in a good shape. so keep uyp the good work!

all I'm saygin is I'm sorry that I offended you guys, I'm trying to be more diserning abtou whta I puit on thsi sight. no problem! I used to liek try to eat very little and stuff, but I think it's better if liek you eat good stuff, like the french toast couse it's SO SO good for you! also oat meal with splenda is really good, and might not be that low in cals, but it fills you up and is SO good for you! try it.

um, idk, I actually haev no idea hwta I'm talkign about. idk, I've heard that you should varey your diet so you dont' mess up your metabolism. I kidna messed mine up for a while. idk. I guess just eat as much as you want, but keep it vareied and exercise alot. And then one day a week if you splurge it's ok. Keep up the good work, and hoep evreythgin works out!

jeep.... please do not use the terms "ana" and "mia" I fin dthem insulting. I have alreday told you taht I have been diegnosed with an eatgin disoredr, namely anorexia in the past. I am not deneying this. But I have recently come to discuver taht I do not want to go down that path again. I want to loose wieght healthily, by eating good foods, and not starvign myself. I coudl easily just stop eatign and taht woudl do the trick, but I dont' wnat to do taht again, I was misserable. No, you dont' understand what I am goign through, I'm sorry, but even if you sisters went through it, you dont' understand. I knwop my parenst don't. THey asume the same thinga s you that I do thses things for attention. but it's abotu me, not them or you. oh,a dn abtou yoru wieght. I'm sure you look great, I think 160 is a perfectly aok wieght for someone my hight, but for me, the way I am built it doesnt' look good. it;s abtou hwo I feel at that weight. and I waqt to loose it healthily this time.

that sounds leik a good idea, I do somethgin kinda leik that. I start the week witha one day fast, then eat 100 then 200, then 300, all the way up to 600 (plus one special treat) then I repete. THsi makes your body think your eatign more and more, plus it's easier to resist food because you knwo you're gettign more the next day, and it seems liek alot. YOu can do thsi with any amount, leik eat 1200 one day 1400 the next and 1600 the next depending on how much you wnat to eat. but always let yoru self have a special treat befroe repeating.

oh, and to respond to two above abotu becomeing steril. I didn't haev my period for abotu a year when I was at 111, but at 115 I still get it. it was actually really upsetting when I got it again becasue it ment that I had finaly gained alot of wieght. I've been gettign it since january.

ok, well guys thanks for your concern I do apreciate it alot, and it's very kind. But I do alot and I mean ALOT of exercise already. I do 600 sit ups, 200 push ups, a weight lifting riutien, and am a runner. and I still have love handles. I really liked how I looked at 111, but 115 woudl be fine. epsolutly fine. I actually used to be belimic, btu I'm nto any more, and thats; really good. I havent' thrown up in abtou a month and a half. I just want to look good for myself again. I dont' knwo how to explain it, it's npot liek I'm like, "oh, I want to be thin" it's the worst possibel feelign in the world and it makes me hate myself more then anything. Manymany nights I sit crygin becvause of all the wieght I have, and I just wnat to be able to love myself again. thank you though, as a lways I apreciete your care.
