cptbunny,

good luck on your test. I am attending a community right now and we did not have to do the ACT. Like another poster we do the COMPASS test for placement. But thankfully its just an placement test and not an admissions test, I beleive you said that is what you said this was for you.

Anyways good luck.

Well advocating and okaying animal neglect and abuse is a surefire way to do just that.

Watergirl news flash if this was a dog people would still give her crap about how she is treating the animal because news flash how she is treating the animal is crap.

This is not a cat issue this is a neglectful owner issue.

Plus its not meddling when you broadcast your laundry on a message board.

ETA: Come to think of it if this was a dog instead of a cat she would be getting more crap then she is now because for some reason people see cats much differently then dogs. Dog is mans (or womans) best friend when a cat is just a little intruder that no one can understand why people love them. Odd.

i have not been on in awhile and boy did I pick the wrong topic to open up.

First off let me say that i am glad that you found something that made Vodka well and healthy once again.

I am a little disturbed by how you treat "fat-cat". 7 years old is not old for an indoor cat. As someone else said indorr cats can live well into their teens and twentys. What this cat needs is love, attention, a vet visit to rule out any medical conditions, and if all else fails a new home. CD has made if very clear that 1. she wil not pay to have the cat taken to a vet 2. she wants it died 3. she wants to see it died a painful natural death because she hates it too much to put it to sleep in a peaceful way.

As for the "I will not take his cat to a vet and pay for it. He can do it and pay for it out of his check..." line well newsflash you married him so his cat is your cat. So you are not taking your cats to the vet when they need it or this cat would already be at the vets right now seeing if there is a medical problem causing all of this.

If "fat-cat" is that big that she can not clean herself properly for the love of god put her on a diet. Would you like to be so big that you could not wipe your own bum after going to the bathroom? No...So why do you think that she enjoys it.

Pet owners are suppose to look after the will-being of their pets...not intentionally watch them die a slow death because the Princess does not like her.

And anyone that can defend this cold blooded, disgusting, nasty attitude towards a pet does not need to ever have one.

The Lounge Medicating Kids Jun 08 2009

I read most of the comments on the first page. In some cases parents are just putting kids in meds to make their lives easier. On the other side there are children out there that really need the meds.

I have always been one to really limit sweets, snacks, caffeine etc. My kids have always been on a tight schedule when it came to meal times, they drink a ton of water, no video games etc. Yet my youngest still had an over abundance of energy. It was like he never stopped moving until he almost literally just fell out. He would run in circles, get up running through the house, etc he could not sit still until he passed out somewhere. And no we did try and stop it but it never seemed to do any good. When he went to bed at night he would be up in his room laughing, playing, just having a good ole' time for hours. From about 7:30pm to midnight he was wide awake. About midnight he would pass out then be back awake in about 2 hours and cycle like that and be up and running ready to go at 6am. He did not take naps during the day and just wide out all day long. We cycled like this for a long long time.

When he started school he teachers noticed this same type behavior. I resisted for a long long time until a few things happened. Teachers were afraid to hold paper for him to practice cutting because he would not or could not concentrate on what he was doing. More than once he almost cut one of his teachers because he was not paying attention to what was happening. Then I was called and told that my son had gotten up from rest time and took off running and literally ran over a sleeping little girl because of he just wild out. This is when we really started talking about him seeing a doctor.

I filled out a questionnaire of behaviors as did the teachers and we took all the data to a doctor (his doctor) to evaluate. In the end of it all he was dxed as being ADHD.

The meds help quite a bit but not totally but he is better.

My understanding is things like Psych.,nursing, hands on medical (i.e. doctor, nursing), law should not be done online. Particulary with the medical things there are clinicals, internships, resident things that need to be done and in a lot of cases that can not be done online. If you are wanting to do Psy. go to a brick and mortar school.

We have 6 computers in the house. 4 use XP, 1 is a mac laptop, 1 is a new HP laptop with Vista. When I first ordered my laptop I was really worried about Vista because of stuff that I had heard about it. But i ordered this computer anyways knowing that Vista was one it.

I have had this laptop since Jan (granted not an awfully long time) and I have had no issues with Vista. Start up is great, no lag in opening programs, etc.

My XP computers always seem to have a lag, start up is not great, always seem to crash etc.

The mac I have only used once. I just do not like the programs, OS or layout of that computer.

Finally, I'm not even entirely sure that who I date after we split is even any of her business.

I am sorry but it is her business if this person(s) you decide to date will be around the kids you and her created.

I have not read the whole of this post but I have read your other posts. I believe as a few others believe that you should come clean with your wife on this. If you are unhappy you need to tell her. Nothing good ever comes from lying and hiding things.

They are both of legal age so I don't understand why you are making such a big deal about this.

I was 18 my now husband was 35 when we met. The only person in my whole family that had an issue with it was my dad. Everyone else it was no big shock because I had always dated people older than me.

We have been together over 10 years and married for for almost 8 years. We have 3 great kids together.

i have tried to use nair in the past a few times and got nasty chemical burns. Veet does the same to my legs.

i shave my legs once a week on a great week, every other week on a good week, sometimes even longer than that. i wear long pants/jeans 98% of the time so shaving seems like a huge waste. Hubs never complains.

It made me anxious to not have the stores open too - I was sure I would have forgotten something. Happily I hadn't - if you didn't live on the other side of the country I would have had you over for dinner CD, as it is we have about 7lbs of turkey left over. :x

I know my hubby became very ill this Christmas Eve (still in tons of pain) and had to go to the ER. We were able to get that filled on Christmas Eve I just had to be ack to where we dropped it off by 5pm (they closed at 6). I am glad most stores are closed 1/2 day on the Eve and full day day of because that means ,unlike thanksgiving, my husband got to spend that day with family.

but they are not in a lot of cases (btw we have found eckerd's pharmacy national chain is open on holidays). Next year plan ahead. But I am still wondering why hubby couldn't get some food?

BTW were you off the whole day or just the evening? Most places around this area closed around 6pm on the eve.

Work my schedule and see how possible it is.

My biggest fear is when the stores open, tomorrow, I still won't be able to get to them until at least Monday.  So I'm going a week without getting to grocery shop.  I don't keep a bunch of boxed goodies in the cabinets.  We rely on fresh foods, so we're shopping several times a week.

I understand you work long hours but 1) why can't hubby do some shopping for food 2) there are no 24 hour stores you can pick a few things up from after work.

The Lounge Ever date someone that was already taken? Dec 14 2008

FallingStars I was just reading over a post you made on the 6th of this month.
It said that you have fallen for a sex-obsessed guy. Is this the same guy that you speak of in this thread? If so that adds so more insight into why this guy choose to cheat on his pregnant girlfriend. And if this is the same guy, he probably does not really want to marry you, he will say and do anything to get a girl to sleep with him and stick around even tho he lives with his pregnant girlfriend.

Aside from that why do girls allow themselves to fall for such traps and old lies? Back in the day I knew a guy that was never faithful. He had 6 girlfriends, half were pregnant, and they all knew about each and still continued to be with him. One girl ,a friend, even married the guy knowing he had never been faithful to her or anyone else and had kids with the loser. Its a mind set that I have never understood.

First off I agree with PG is post 9. Can you really trust a guy who has already proven himself to be unfaithful?

Everything this guy has already told you every guy says when he wants to get a little on the side. So I will just tell you know: He will never leave in the girlfriend, he will never be with you forever, and chances are if you ever get pregnant by this guy he will do the same to you. Cut ties and get out now.

BTW I am surprised the girlfriend is still with this loser if she knows he is sleeping with you. Kid or not pregnant or not my guy would be booted if he even attempted that.

Goth that was how I dressed as a teen. Now I still dress like that but very subdued and not all the time. A few months we went and visited my ex step mom. I was wearing a tight black AC/DC shirt, black jeans, my chain wallet and my earrings. My ex step sister was like "OMG your goth?" Me and my ex step mom looked at each other like she was crazy. I have dressed in straight black with piercings and chain wallet for at least 11 years. Where the heck has she been (she is 16).

Nomo yes in my opinion goth and vampire is different. I know someone saving up right now to get fangs done. Plus she has a kick butt vamp bite tat.
