The Lounge favorite scary movie!! Jun 20 2008

I think the last movie I was actually scared at was one of the Exorcists movies, but I was like 9.

I don't there are any really "scary" movies out there anymore. The best one, I can think of, which is more of a thriller than scary, is Hitchcock's Rear Window. He was and is the suspense master.

Older women is where it's at; they know how to be sexy, and how to treat a man. I use to date about 10yrs older than me, always had a good time. Definitely my best relationships.

Good luck bro.

I second that. I prefer hard liquor.

I think the world could use some more people named Rooster.

My housemate pre-ordered it. He's pretty excited about it. I'm hoping it revolutionizes home workouts and helps a lot of people lose weight.

However, I'm a little cynical, because it's still a workout. And, if someone can't find the time or drive to work out on a regular basis this certainly isn't going to cure that. Unfortunately for most it'll probably be a 'flash in the pan', but there will be that occasional "Jared" out there I hope.

My working definition of socially awkward is basically not being personable.

Personally, I think we all have a little "social awkwardness" in us; it just depends on the situation. For instance, I tend to be socially awkward when I'm caffeine deficient and it's Monday morning.

there have been times when I've told a friend that they are being "socially awkward", but never in as many words. Its a conversation I would only have with someone I was close with, and felt like they could handle the information. I also prayed about it, a lot. My friend was somewhat ignorant to how they were acting, and it was a good, but tough, conversation.

So what's my point; this guy never should have said that, if it's true or not, it's not his place to bring it up; it was just rude.

On another note, I'm sorry you don't have many friends, you seem like a very nice person....I mean you're a pianist, what's not to like Wink

Super sexy especially when accompanied by tattoos.

If a guy is intimidated by a girl with six-packs...he may have some confidence issues.

Personally, I like women who are tall, more attractive than I am, and make more money than me; Charlize Theron, Milla Jovovich, Hedi Klum, Amber Valletta etc...etc.

Well, take a couple of things into consideration. 1) how long is the walk to the gym and 2) what are you fitness goals?

Remember Fat burning doesn't start until after 15mins of exercise. So, depending on the how long the walk is, that may be sufficient cardio. Also, depending on your goals, I'd focus on cardio 3-4 days a week and a full body weight lifting program the last day(s).

If possible, a class at the gym like kick boxing or yoga would be a nice way to change things up.

Good luck!

Someone posted earlier, that you need to eat whatever calories you're burning. I'd agree with that. I'd also add, that your body only stores protein as muscle. This is exciting, because it means you can eat more protein calories and not worry about it becoming fat!

Some of my favorite protiens are:

Tofu (soy is a good source of estrogen...that's good for you, not me.)

Fat Free Cottage Cheese

Legumes (beans)

Nuts (peanuts, walnuts, cashews)

The HR monitor is a REALLY good idea.

Also, it is depressing, but hey, if your goal is to lose weight, and you're eating less than 2500 cpd and you aren't sluggish during the day than CELEBRATE! Because you can eat less, and you'll lose more.

However, if you need to eat those cals because of fitness goals or energy, finding high cal foods is usually stuff loaded with protein; cottage cheese, nuts (not too many though), legumes, protein bars.

good luck!

How does a guy show you he's insecure?

The word insecure can mean several things. This is the meaning I am referring to- subject to fears, doubts, etc.; not self-confident or assured: an insecure person. This usually becomes apparent when a person puts themself down or needs reassuring. Often times jealousy comes along with insecure behavior.

That's really interesting, I can see that. So how do you differientiate from them being insecure and asking your opinion?

Here's a little blurb I found about Gravity:

"Gravity Cologne by Coty, Gravity is a classic scent from coty, introduced in 1992, this sharp oriental woody scent is sophistication at its finest. This masculine scent possesses a blend of mandarin and sage blended with vanilla and woodsy hints. Gravity is perfect for casual wear."

Ha - I was just saying how I need a little more mandarin in my scent

Seriously, sounds pretty cool.

Interesting post. I've never really thought about it this way, but I don't think the goal to eating is to get "full". And, just as we shouldn't wait until we're feeling "hungry" to eat, we shouldn't wait until we're "full" to stop.

Just some thoughts.

I know it's cheap, but I have always liked Gravity.

I don't think I've ever even heard of Gravity.

Oh, it's wonderful! I'm pretty sure you can get it at Wal-mart, that's where I've always seen it, and now they have their Christmas Sets out and on sale. I'm willing to bet they have a gift set of Gravity!

 Wal-mart you say....

Actually, I don't like getting colognes at places like Wally's or Target because they don't have the "sniff" option. I like to know what I'm going to smell like so I don't end up reeking like bug spray. Though...the smell isn't really for me anyway, right?
