Original Post by szullo:

all of these answers are ridiculous eat stuff like 3 eggwhites for breakfast followed by a small can a tuna for lunch then maybe a lean dinner like boiled chicked with steamed veggies and no butter allowed on veggies or frying the chicken basically dont eat any carbs unless they are small in portion and are not carbs that come from sugar you can get good carbs from veggies besides that all protein should do it. your body may go into a shock for the first week if you a hoarting eater. This diet will force your body into deprivation of carbs and will force your bady to rely and the carbs it has already stored -->FAT!!!! this will only give you the first month jump start then you should have enough confiedence to continue with exersise and portion control on your own good luckSmile

... HAHA. this answer really made me laugh.

#1 i have been eating really sporadically and strange that is why i haven't posted for a bit.

#2 i did make a vegan calzone last night for the first time. SOOOO GOOD!! i have never had a calzone. i'm going to make it more often.

#3 (for people that have or have had eds) does anyone find that they are really obsessive compulsive about things unrelated to food as well? ex: cleaning.

vegan calzone?!?! recipe please! :)

i am EXTREMELY ocd about random stuff. cleaning, but not my room, just the house like the kitchen and game room. school of course--i always get A's. practicing piano, i'll keep doing the same part over and over until i get it right a billion times.

actually i've found my ocd-ness has gotten better as i've gotten over my ed. like, i still care about things, but i'm not weirdly obsessive.

agru, sometimes shops brush their bagels with eggs, and some bagels have animal products like when_i_fly said. it can be hard to find nutrition information especially if it's not a chain restaurant. it's possible to ask and find out, but most of the time the employees don't know or they just find you annoying and will tell you anything to get you to shut up :P

a funny story. i was going to make oatmeal today but noticed my oatmeal was missing. so i just made malt-o-meal instead. well, i went in my basement to put my clothes from the washer to the dryer and noticed the bag of oatmeal was down there. my cats must've gotten a hold of it and batted it down there. haha. (i'm laughing now but i was actually pretty angry with them at the time.) they do the same thing with the nutritional yeast i get except they also eat the nutritional yeast. they go crazy for it.

hahahaha. cute!

i went to this brunch thing and my meals got kind of thrown off, so i'll just post approximate eating times i guess.

10:45- spicy lentil chili, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, mandarin oranges

12:15- apple, clementines

3- whole wheat tortilla spread with homemade garlic hummus & filled with romaine and broccoli, raspberry soy yogurt

5- soy nut butter on whole wheat toast

6:30- whole wheat spaghetti with marinara sauce, peas, green salad with italian dressing

8:30- mocha soy ice cream

10- popcorn

i was unsure of whether to quit being vegan during recovery, but i didn't feel like i could abandon my beliefs. i've gained to a healthy weight on a vegan diet. that being said if you feel like it's really best for you to stop, then by all means do so. veganism is not meant to be restricting.
