Carrot sticks or celery with hummus. Buy whole carrots and celery hearts. You'll have to peel (the carrots) and cut them up into sticks yourself. |

1. If you could create a new cereal flavor what would it be? (flavor, grain, fruit etc?) Pumpkin pie flavored Honey Bunches of Oats. Banana. Thickly sliced ciabatta with ripe tomato slices, mozzerella cheese, basil, and a little Italian dressing, pressed like a panini. (I make this on a George Foreman grill.. delicious!) Strawberry cream soda. Bell peppers? no idea Bananas! Whole wheat crust with cheddar jack and broccoli. Hmm.. eggplant sounds good. Flavored like nacho cheese Doritos! Indian food. 5 grams of fiber, 10 grams of protein; 50% DV of iron; fudge flavor and consistency! |

Don't know if you would be interested in this but... I usually eat quick oats, the ones you can microwave in like 2 minutes or whatever. Typically I will cook them, but sometimes I just pour some milk on the raw oats and eat them like that, without letting them sit overnight or anything. They absorb the milk but stay pretty chewy. It's kind of like granola without the sweeteners and the crunch. |

If you can't give up the ranch, try Hidden Valley Light Ranch. 80 Cals/2 tbsp, and it comes in a handy squirt bottle. Something that helped me switch from ranch was cottage cheese. Not necessarily low cal, but lower than most ranch dressings. It's creamy and you actually get some protein and calcium and other good things from it! Usually I use Ken's FF Italian. 25 cals/2 tbsp I think. Going off the cottage cheese thing though, lately I've been eating salad with some cottage cheese and fat free French drizzled on top. I don't know if anyone outside of my family does this, but it's delicious! |

When I was a kid me and my sister would freeze those GoGurt yogurt tube things and eat them. You can just cut the end off and slide them up like a push-up. =) I've never frozen yogurt in a tub, but I assume it would be just as delicious! |

Jello is usually ok for me. And, I've never tried it personally, but I know people who eat bananas when they have a stomachache. Something with the potassium in them is supposed to help I guess. |

I third the sandwiches! Seems my family eats a lot of them. We seem to grill a lot in the summer, so we eat a lot of stuff like turkey Italian sausage, steak sandwiches, steak or chicken shish kabobs...Also watermelon is a great addition to any meal. In my house as soon as someone cuts up the watermelon it will be gone within 2 days, usually less. |

Smoothies! Favorite one: frozen banana blended with 1 1/2 cups skim milk and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Makes 2 delicious smoothies! Actually peanut butter in general is pretty awesome... Watermelon Green tea Baby carrots! Nature Valley granola bars...ok, not the healthiest thing ever, but I like 'em!
And...
Edy's Slow-Churned Light Ice Cream. 120 cals for 1/2 a cup! =D |

My ex-boyfriend used to drink like 5-6 cans of Vault a day. Then randomly he decided to stop drinking pop, and went from 220 lb to 200 in the course of one summer. I think it's a good idea if you want to try it. =) |

As for tapeworms, read the book Seabiscuit. Jockeys back in the day did tons of crazy things to stay under the weight limit--yes, including swallowing tapeworms! Some of their other favorite strategies: running around the track in horse blankets, sitting in the pile of manure to "sweat it off", and other crazy things. |

Ditto on going grocery shopping with your mom, if you can! I go every week with mine. =) I've kind of figured out that our family dinners average around 700 calories, so I try to keep that in mind when I'm eating breakfast and lunch. And when dinner turns out to be only 500-600, I have dessert! =) My mom cooks pretty healthy to begin with though (like using really lean meat, Smart Balance, etc.). But I guess try to plan for it as much as you can, and try to get some healthier substitutes. |

I gained about 5 pounds my first semester, but luckily I found a workout buddy and took it off during second! Some things that worked for me... -Salad bar! About 5 days a week I would have this for lunch: huge salad with cottage cheese as dressing, an apple or other piece of fruit, and a tall glass of water. -Coffee. I got in the habit of finishing my dinner and/or lunch with a cup of coffee. My body got to know that coffee meant no more eating, as in no dessert! -Green tea. I consumed at least a cup a day. It was a great afternoon pick-me-up. -Eat breakfast! Seriously. It is good. -Trail mix. I bought a nice big tub at World Market that lasted a while. I just grabbed a small handful whenever I needed a quick snack. -Lent. I'm Catholic and I gave up dessert, so most of my weight loss occurred during this time! -Cheat days. Seriously, treat yourself. Usually on Friday I would eat normally for breakfast and lunch, and then treat myself to whatever I wanted in the evening. It made me feel like I could still enjoy myself with my friends, plus the "surprise" for my body seemed to kick up my metabolism. EDIT: Also, if your school has a Food Committee, get on it. One of my friends who is a vegetarian got on the committee to try and get some better meatless options, and ended up making a pretty big difference. If you're not satisfied with your food service, see if you can make it better! |

Not really a new job, but I'm starting at Wendy's tomorrow. I worked at a different one last summer, but this one is closer. I hate coming home smelling like bacon, but now I'm pretty much turned off by fast food so it's been good for me. =) |

I'm 5'2" and about 107 pounds. I wear a size 5 in jeans and usually size small shirts. I have a small frame according to the wrist test, but big hips! I've never tried on a wedding dress, but most of my formal dresses (like for prom, etc.) are size 3. |

The Cool Whip spray can is very nice. I'm a little turned off by the oil as well, but Cool Whip just tastes so darn good frozen! Redi Whip tastes more like real whipped cream though, so Idk, I'll eat either. |

Ditto saving the best part for last! I hate hate HATE mushy cereal! I pour the milk and then I have to eat it right away. I hate cereals like corn flakes and Life with milk because they get soggy too fast! I have to bite off the top of Hershey's kisses first. Oatmeal must be eaten in a spiral pattern. I will eat apples or pears out of hand, but I prefer to slice them into really thin pieces and then eat them. Idk, it's fun. I like to eat the crust of the bread, and then the soft delicious inside. Again, save the best for last. I eat small things one at a time. Raisins, M&Ms, etc. Sometimes I bite the M&Ms in half to make them last longer. I scrap salt off of french fries before eating them if they are too salty. I have to eat ALL of the normal pizza part of a slice of pizza before starting on the crust. Like I get as close to the crust as I can without biting it, and then once all the other stuff is gone I will eat it. |

I like Tyler Florence on Boil Water, but I CANNOT STAND his assistant. I wish somebody paid me to stand around and ask stupid questions. Iron Chef is the best show ever though! And I know he's not on the Food Network, but I have a huge crush on that Take Home Chef guy on TLC. =) |
