 i think this is a great idea, i used to weigh in everyday and it really kept me focused but the excersise right after sounds like a good motivator

the pups really cute and sweet looking,

pets are great arent they  especially dogs

my dog gets all excited when i get the leash so if i dont really feel like going for a walk or run b4 he makes me really motivated

as pretty handsone said

20 cals over your goal wont make you gain unless your goal is your maitenance

and still you can burn 20 calorien in 1 min of fast pased jumping jacks

i also agree with the message your sending...

when i was little my mom would literally make me finish EVERYTHING on my plate  i remember taking a heaping plate of pasta and being stuffed when i was only half way through

when i was only through half of it.. i think she was trying to teach me to only put as much food as ill finish on my plate    well i kinda triggered overeating for a while

also when my family went to restraunts my parents would eat super fast (compared to me) and be done in half the time so i learned how to eat super fast    so i guess that kind of backfired

my mom is kinda strict   but im not complaining shes great...  

anyway  i agree with you on not making them always finish whats on their plate,  i think i got that lesson the wrong way   i started putting tons on my plate and then eating TONS

i kind forgot about the full feeling until i felt sick

either way  i am still working on reteaching myself how to eat and SOT WHEN YOUR 80% FULL  LOL

oh wow this is great

 

b- toast with cheese and a sunny side up egg on top light and fit yogurt

s- maple bar donut ( my math teacher gets us donuts once a month .. i usually never eat that)

l- tuna salad on greens w/ mango

s- banana

d- chicken, brown rice, salad and a sugar free fudge bar for dessert

will be snack- grapfruit

i agree to what alot of ppl have said

i lost my period when i started eating healthier and excercising

and when school came around i got really stressed and then a few weeks back i was on vacay amd i got it back, i was really relaxed the whole time... but i also ate like an absolute pig

well like i said i take a multi vitamin and i am trying to lose some weight

about this much food usually keeps me satisfied but if i am still hungry i am totally willing to eat more

ok so mine is increadably great and awesome and i love it

Strawberry Sorbetto

ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of frozen strawberries

2 packets of no calorie sweetener

(optional) 1/4 cup of hot water (to make blending easier)

directions:

combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until fairly smooth

Voila, a sweet, light sorbetto sure to conquer any sweet craving for only 65 calories

(actually you could do this with just about any frozen fruit)

i used to really like mcdonalds to but when i watched supersize me i got kinda discusted and then a month later i got mcdonalds and i felt that i could taste the fat in it ....... and not in a good way  after that i never went back

You know what, i effing hate my self esteem,    i mean honestly  it sucks

i also hate my mind set  i swear it is making losing any weight IMPOSSIBLE

i mean for example  if i start going a little over my calories i end up haveing a binge  even after i have thought about how i can just stop and not gain anything  

and i always feel so hopeless  its like "oh i am never gonna reach my goal anyway so why should i even try"

In a world that is obsessed with body images, it is hard for teens to ignore it and just "live their lives" as carefree teens.

While I know that a lot of teens want to lose weight to look good in bikinis/swim suits, or look good for the beginning of whatever school year they are going into -- I am one of them -- it also has to do with a lot more than just "looking hot". What a lot of people don't seem to realize (well, maybe not a lot, but many people) is that part of the reason that teenagers want to diet is so that they can feel better about themselves. Unfortunately, to achieve that in modern day society, that has to do with feeling good about how we look. I can't speak for every teenager, but I can for a few as well as for myself (obviously). Many teens don't have a lot of self-esteem/-confidence because they don't like how they look, and because of that, these issues affect their social lives. By losing weight so that they do like the way they look, even if they don't look like a celebrity or anything, that self-esteem/-confidence rises and their lives improve more.

Yes, it is sad that so many teenagers want to diet, but what is sadder is the fact that modern day society and media has made it so that we don't feel comfortable in our own bodies. It's easy to tell someone to love themselves for who they are, because in the long run it's the personality that counts, not the body that comes with it. But in order for someone to truly love themselves, they need to feel comfortable in their own skin and if in order to do that, they feel as if they need to diet a bit (albeit, hopefully healthily.. even though I admit I'm guilty of not doing that quite so healthily) then I think they should be able to diet.

So, yeah, I ramble quite a bit.

i think it is probably cuz you metabolism slows  thats why women usually live longer then men     we ladies have a 10-15% slower metabolism

oh hey this is great

i also just joined recently too and i will turn 14 on dec 6

i am 5'8.5" and i weigh 145 although i am at a pretty healthy weight i still wanna lose like 20 and be 125 (actually i just want to feel lean and confident, as long as i think i look good i reallydont care about my weight)    

i have always been the thinner  (not thinnest but still at an attractive weight) girl up until about a year and a half ago and b4 i could eat anything,  now i see that i cant and i am glad i caught it b4 it was to bad 

now i am the big girl so i know how it feels and even though i am still at a healthy weight, i seem to have gotten taller and fatter....... my friends just got taller......... lucky me

anyway welcome and i hope you have success
