I have them and hate them! Even the skinniest people have them though, so don't feel too bad. I know a lot of people that got them when they went through growth spirts, not weight gain but length.

I just said 3 lb. weights because they are what the trainer calls for in the video. If you're doing steps with the workouts using weights I don't think its a good idea to be using anything higher than 5lbs. Now if you're sitting down and just focusing on weights or lifting that wouldn't be a good idea, you wouldn't be making progress like that.

I went out and got a workout video and some 3lb. weights. The video takes me 30 minutes in the morning and there are 3 steps. You might not think you can get that much out of so little time and out of a fitness video but it pushes me harder than I can push myself at the gym.

I used to weigh myself every day at the gym but it would get me down if I gained even a half a pound so I decided to stop weighing myself except for once every month. I think its already making me feel better about things.
