The Lounge Silly things you (or someone else) thought as a child Jan 29 2009

I heard the saying that everyone saw things differently. I thought it meant they really saw things differently : such as to one person humans could look aliens with eight legs and attenas when they looked like humans do to me.

Being a kid I remember hearing them talk about rape, well no one wants to explain that to a child, so i always thought they mispornounced the word and that they were raked and that the person would be marked up from the rake going across them.

My brother and i took things at what they were worth, so when i decided i wanted a water bed like my parents my brother and i grabbed a bucket and went back forth from the bathroom with buckets full of water and poured it onto the brand new bed . we were 3 and 4.

Another story like it is we kept hearing how people should car pool on the nes...so we wanted to take part, my brother put the hose in the car and we waited for our car pool....mom wasnt too happy.

Another one is you know how parents say " there's kids in africa starving and you waste your food" welllll. we had a maulberry tree in the backyard and the berried would fall on the ground and we saw that they were wasting away. so my brother and i went inside and grabbed a container and started filling them up with the berries to be sent to africa....it wasnt long before we got bored and squished up the berries into the mud...but the thought was there

If I were in that sitiutation I'd probably back out and say that travel cost is too expensive but you send your best wishes. Then when the excitement has settled from being a newly wed and you have chance to talk to her I'd bring it up then. I'd be offended if she had made that promise for so long and then broke it, but yeah i'd avoid until after to bring anything up.

The Lounge Stray Dogs Are Better Off Fending For Themselves *Update* Jun 15 2008

Wow, he's really looking out for the community*rolls eyes*..Here in Iowa they've came across of a pack of dogs that were abandoned in the woods, and what it has resualted in was the dogs are attacking livestock. They've killed a cow,a goat, and a llama, which llamas are used to scare away coyetes and animals of that nature. The pack isnt afraid of people, they havent attacked a human but hunters have been ordered to shoot them in fear of it happening...So I could see this resualting with the dogs he let loose.

I do feel like its morally wrong and the guys seems like a complete umm jerk for a nicer word. I think the community should take some sort of action about this so the situtation could be resolved and that it sets a presdent for other situtations like this, because the resualt of the prices of everything going up animal abandoment is going up. Though releasing them into the wild is better then just killing them to dispose of the dogs completely.

The episode where Marge writes a romance book and then wants homer to read it...of course he lies and says he does ....well through out the episode she finds out and homer says...

"I'm not lying I'm just writing fiction with my mouth!"

I loved that quote!!!

The Lounge Walking on Graves May 14 2008

i think the thing about not walking on graves comes from mideval superstition, where so many people were burried sometimes still alive they'd reach up and grab feet....also where saved by the bell term came from...they'd burry them with a string contected to the bell above ground and if they rung it they'd be saved.

As for walking on graves...graves are more for the people who are left behind then for the people who were burried there..so use the grave site as you please...if your friends dont understand maybe they should also see it from your point of view as a way of paying respect to their spirit and not to their body.

I work in a daycare and before i got moved to another room we had a kid that is 3 going on 4 who is almost ot my shoulders...im 5'3" thats really tall for a 3 year old!!!! anyway the kid was pretty heavy. He didn't want to do gym time at all! I guess the reason mom got him into daycare was because he was sitting around and watching tv and eating too much...anyway he now loves gym time and is being very interactive with the other kids...and has lost quite abit of weight...it makes me happy to see the kid turning for the healthier side when you could see even at that age he was mesirable being over weight.

By gym i mean gymnasium

for a girl i came up with Alexxira (alex-zira) but also liked exira (which is actually here in Iowa but had  a "pretty" ring to it. Katana sounds like it could be a girl-y name. From stardust Evayne is rare  and delicate sounding. I also liked Sahara until angelina jolie named her daughter zahara. I work in a daycare and there's a girl named Amirah, I really liked it. I also heard of Valkyrie as a name which is odd but neat.

For a boy I've thought about using the name, Constantine Draven Icubaugh, which just shows me for the movie addict i am...constantine,the crow, and sleepy hallow for those who didn't know. Also Loki.

the only real suprize is the ending and its only because there is a slight twist...no body jumps out at you or anything...i feel like you do have to like tim burton's style, which isnt bad though i find annoying when he doesnt change it...anyway the gore is fake looking and its purposely done that way...and if for nothing else it is worth seeing Borat getting his thorat slit(the actor is the first to go and when i find out it was him who played it i was happy!)

women in my family are also well endowed and i've had an aunt and cousin  that has had it done...and honestly if i was smaller and still had bigger breast I'd want them to be smaller...the scarring isnt bad...and for one you wont have pain or as much...cheaper bras...or fancier ones which ever way you look at it....what ive seen of women that are big breasted would end looking smaller if they didnt have a looming chest over their stomach.

I have a bit of a list.

A Girl With A Pearl Earring...I kept waiting and waiting for it to get good...and it seemed like the movie never climaxed....really went away with a huh feeling

Real Women Have Curves....I expected to be empowering for women who do have curves but it only has about two to five minutes of it really when they are in the shop and she tells them offf, rest seems like high school romance movie with no real story line.

Mad Money...I was disappointed with the amount of humor in it.

As for sweeney todd the gore in it was actually more cartoon like...well the actual grinding of the meat where the men do fall down the chair does look pretty well but for the real gore-i-ness of it was more cartoon like.

yes and we all should have blonde hair and blue eyes? Really it's ridiculous....and like noelle31 said they are still selling cigarrettes to the public and yet they want to bad obese people from resturants....clogged arties...or lung diases....somehow that doesnt seem right...*shakes head* considering all that is going on the country the main focus is banning fat people from going out to eat....at the risk of sounding cliche but what is the world coming to?
