Foods 2 energy drinks a day?? May 08 2008

I'm in love with those too!  I actually just had one, but I have a few drinks, and threw it away because they are not good for you... I don't know if they have any life threatening effects, but I do know that they are made of chemicals that we should not be consuming... What I do is look at the ingredients, pull them up on line, and read about what is in it.  I don't enjoy things as much when I know what's in them.   They do taste wonderful though.  I agree.  Good luck!

Do you drink a lot of water?? I've also heard that the lower amount of fats/sugar in your diet the better.  Cardio is important as well.  I know from experience that walking uphill helps too. I try to hit the tredmill a few times a week and put it on a high incline level to hit my hamstrings and butt.  I've also noticed, personally, that when I'm tan you can't see as many "bumps".  Maybe it's just mental, but hey, whatever works! I use ground turkey with all mexican food... I just cook it with Taco Seasoning, (low/no cals) and one of my favorite meals is taco salad/toastada!  You can even put it on a low fat tortilla (around 100 cals) and call it a meal!  There's so much you can do with it, and it's way healthier than ground beef. First of all, congrats on the baby!

Second of all, eating less than 1000 cals/day it is not healthy or a good way to lose weight.  I know it's easy to say, and I have days myself where I find it difficult eating over 1000 too.  It does slow your metabolism down a bit when you don't get the amount that your body needs.  My questions is, what kind of cals are you consuming??? Are you getting the neutrients your body needs?? Drinking tons of water???  What has been working for me is snacking on healthy fruits, veggies and snacks throughout the day, and make sure you get some exersice in as often as possible because that plays a huge role in weight loss (not to mention help you feel better mentally).  My other question would be, what type of excersize are you doing?? Keep positive! It will happen, just be paitent!!! Good luck!

Just try small snacks and meals throughout the day. Stick to healthy fresh fruits, and veggies if you can. Maybe a little protein? If you eat throughout the day, you're metabolism will be consistantly working, and you'll get the nutrients your body needs without feeling as if you "overate". If you stick to small meals throughout the day, you shouldn't feel full, you should feel satisfied. Just read your body, leave the mind out of it while you're recovering. Best of luck.

I was just thinking that your man's probably being completely honest with you.  Of course he thinks your beautiful, inside and out... That's why he's with you.  You should want to lose weight to be healthy, and feel better. And don't compare yourself to everyone around you.  Like I'm one to talk.... I'm working on the same struggles, all of my friends are around a size zero-3!!! And let's just say... Well, I'm not ;-)  But I'm working on getting healthier, and I think that that's what will make US happier in the long run.  Lots of luck!!! Laughing

Been there many times!  Lately, 100 calorie packs are my best friend... I just keep a few in my car(sometimes even my purse!) so that I have them wherever I go and they hold me over, for a little while atleast... They have so many out there now too. Sweet and spicy and millions more! Good luck!

Cardio is the best way to lose inches.  You'll lose in your waist first but it'll eventually begin coming off in other areas as well. Some just take longer than others! (Trust me, I'm with ya....)

 As for jeans, I'm VERY picky with them because I have the opposite issue... My legs are smaller but my waist is, well not even close to small... ;-)

I'm a huge fan of Joe's Jean's and Seven for mankind.  They're a little pricey but as long as I'm confident in them it's worth it.  Good luck on your quest!

I was in the same situation today... I woke up later than normal and had a lazy day which I NEVER do.  It was wonderful, but that's beside the point.  So, yes you do burn calories while you sleep, but from what I've heard you should be burning more while you're up and moving around.  That's what gets your metabolism going for the day and will carry on while you sleep...

 For me, since I woke up late today, I told myself that I was going to try and consume less cals since I knew I was going to be lazy all day.  I didn't have time for breakfast, so I just made sure I had a filling, yet health lunch and a healthy salad for dinner.  I was completely satisfied and 400 cals under!!!! That made me feel better for being lazy all day.  (But now I want something sweet! Shoot!!! Not gonna do it!)  Maybe I'll just go back to bed...  Wink Good luck!

THAT'S WHAT I WAS GOING TO SUGGUEST... GO CHECK OUT THE PACKAGED CA ROLLS AT RALEY'S OR TRADER JOE'S AND IT SHOULD GIVE YOU A PRETTY GOOD IDEA.... I JUST STARTED COUNTIN CALS TODAY AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I TRIED TO LOOK UP! LET ME KNOW IF YOU GET THE EXACT ANSWER!
