I get that too. I assumed it was just dry chapped skin from running in the cold but I just don't know. |

Looks to me like you're getting enough carbs. You're really eating pretty healthfully- from mid-day on. Try swapping the banana for a high fiber fruit like berries. High fiber carb choices will help you feel full longer than sugary ones like bananas. Try starting your day with a protein of some sort. Pure carbs first thing in the morning is a perfect recipe for a crash and burn. Protein helps you feel satiated for a longer period of time versus carbs which cause your blood sugar to spike and fall abruptly causing hunger. Try to space protein evenly throughout the day and you will be more likely to make it meal to meal without feeling ravenous. You seem to be taking in caffeine all day. Caffeine is a diuretic and causes you to lose water and also irritates the lining of your stomach causing false hunger pangs. If you can, try to eliminate caffeine all together- you'll start to feel refreshed after the initial shock. Also, make sure you're well hydrated. If you start to feel hungry drink a glass of water and wait 30 minutes. If you are still hungry go ahead and eat, otherwise you were just thirsty. Good luck! |

Hmm... Eggs of any kind, mayo, fish, most meat, vanilla slimfast, tuna, sauerkraut, cottage cheese (the texture makes me gag!), and spinach! also the smell of dog food makes me vomit without fail, not sure that counts though... |

| Weight Loss | Ice cream :) | Jan 28 2008 01:45 (UTC) |

I'm a total ice cream junkie! My solution was to start buying gelato. It has less fat than regular ice cream and has a richer more flavorful taste. With gelato I'm satisfied with a spoonful or two whereas w/ reg. icecream I need an entire bowl (or two My favorite brand is Talenti. It's sold all over the country primarily in more upscale grocery stores but you can also order from their website. |

I have the same problem. I'd suggest (if weather permits) wearing and A-line skirt. It balances out wide hips and makes your waist appear smaller. I'd stay away from any bulky tops too. If you wear a bulky top it will make you look like a barrel. Go for a fitted top that will accentuate your small waist and upper body. When you have large hips and thighs pants tend to make you look disproportionate and like you have "saddle bags." After I realized that I threw out most of my pants... Hope that helps! PS if you must wear jeans go for a boot cut or wide leg for balance. Skinny jeans don't look good on big hips they make them look even bigger |
