Health & Support Health Questions after loosing weight Nov 18 2009

i dont know what GI could have said because she is blocked on my account for personal harrasment.  I assume she copy and pasted something i said to her through a message as a response.  It's ashame that a 50+ (or however old she is) woman has nothing better to do then to scold young girls she doesn't know on the forums saying this and that about them when she doesn't know anything about them. OBVIOUSLY most women on this site are very sensitive about their personal health and weight and having responses telling you to "just gain weight and eat more" IS rather annoying..I can have many people back me up on that.  Especially when that is not the issue.

I personally was quite offended by what she said to me.  She clearly is not LETTING things go when it comes to my forum posts.  She comments practically every single one of my forum posts saying the same thing.  Whether she thinks shes right or is just  bored and has nothing better to do, when someone asks politely if they can cease the annoying responses ...the other side should respect it.

Health & Support Can you lose all your muscle mass in doing the Master Cleanse? Nov 18 2009

i did the MC in the summer time and lost weight mostly muscle.  Its been really hard to gain the muscle back for me and my arms and thighs and stomach is flabby because of it even though my "weight" in numbers hasnt shifted much.  I suggest stop it at once but don't overeat when you start refeeding because you might have digestion problems and your stomach will hurt

Original Post by icecream18:

I finally "recovered" from anorexia or severe dieting (I never stopped eating) around four months ago.  Now, I binge eat like crazy, not only have I gained back my weight before plus a few more pounds...but I am beginning to feel the negative health effects that come with that sudden weight gain.  I have extreme OCD and tend towards perfectionism, I know that I should lose at least 10 lbs or so to remain healthy...but I don't want to go calorie-counting-crazy...does anyone have any suggestions for a pathetic loser like myself?

i can relate.

dieting/calorie counting is the worst thing a girl can do

haha this test is not meant for vegans/vegetarians eh! but i think i might be a slow/stable oxidizer.  Might take the vitamin C test.

also how do you know how much 30% carbs is per day? i mean 100% carbs would be easy, but its a lil hard to determine a number such as 30

Hey ..I have been experiencing the same problem as well.  I've posted a very similar thread a week ago.  I don't think there is 1 particular cure for this.  I'm gonna see a doc on Thurs about some medication or something...if it works for me ill let you know.  Its sppose to help with my sleep. I usually wake up after 1 hr of sleep and eat.  I used to be slimmer and this night eating has made me gain weight too.  I started to go to the gym now and i've found excersising helps me stay motivated not to midnight snack. But I still have problems.  Lemme know if you find anything helpful too ok?

I just read this article in the NY times (online) written by Jane Brody.  She struggled with night eating like me, and she overcame it by forcing herself (hungry or not) to eat 3 meals w/ snacks a day. and she stopped nighteating and lost weight.  The reasonw hy i was so reluctant to eat like that before is because i STILL night ate even though i ate during the day. but i'll try again

Hey emrldfantasy, it seems like we have the same stats.  Although our body types are different, I wonder if the late night binging and binging in general is just from dieting.  I was originally 118 as well and VERY uncomforatble in my skin, and now i'm this weight, but still uncomfortblae because since my mastercleanse fast a lot of my muscle turned to fat.  But I'm working on gaining muscle again. Let me know how your eating goes and what works for you!

i believe i usually eat around 2000 a day.  When i was heavier, iate around 1200 a day to loose weight while working out and i succeeded. Now that I'm smaller, I eat 2000 a day and haven't really gained ALL my weight back.  I stop trying to count calories so much now though because it makes me crazy. I just don't know what to concentrate on (diet wise) when trying to stop craving sweets/waking up at night and eating/build muscle and keeping it/loose weight all at the same time.

?

?

thanks ill read those articles

Weight Loss Is it possible? Am I fighting nature? Sep 11 2009

i think being in isolation also distorts body image. I live by myself now (compared to when i used to live with 2 other girls, and hang out a lot moreoften) and i have a boyfriend so all i do is hang out with him now and rarely can compare myself to normal girls.  Not that I feel like i NEED to, it's just hard to live alone and worry about weight at the same time.
