What a great group of people!!!!! Everyone's story is amazing. I love the post about dancing....we should all do it. Imagine the great vibe that would send to our surroundings. I'm on it...when no one is at home. My kids would probably stop me. I alway have the urge in a car listening to radio. I really like this group!

1. long term: health and self esteem - doesn't always work

2. stay sexy for my much younger husband - doesn't always work either

3. short term goals - going home to visit family and friends in December, shake off the butty one lady pointed out at zumba - that worked this time

4. short measurable goals - this week I want to see 140 on the scale and tip it under 140 next week

Generally something has to trigger the change in me and this time the lady did it. Visiting my overly critical mother is a fire behind my behind too.

Somehow I didn't make it to the list. Can you put me in Lily please? I have to catch up on reading I didn't have time. We are going to hard time in family and on the positive side I have no mood to eat due to grief. But better times coming! I weight in yesterday with 141.8 ans this morning 143????? I guess TOM doesn't help. I put 143 as a start, but it will go down fast soon. Glad to be here even with slow start.

Hey here you are again Lilygirl! You are amazing...... what a transformation. I think you can dare to dream. Well I'm going to join you. Kids are at school so no excuses. I don't have much to lose. Goal is close but maintenance is painful for me. This will help me. I will be 12 day out of country and heavily gaining in my home country. I need to lose before I go, try to not gain too much and lose it again once I get back...... see you around!!!!

I kept editing my old entry, but today I had time to read your posts..... everyone is hanging on and it is great. I have giant motivation. 1. lady in the gym commented on my growing behind....grrrrr, but it worked and 2. I will be visiting my parents and they tend to be very critical....so there we go. That is reason for my current success. Bronchitis didn't help. but now I'm back doing my usual zumba cardio. Love it!

There is fire behind my butt I leave on the 10th of December!!!

OK I would like to join you all in the effort. I need to lose about 10Lb. With help of CC+ I lost before and a few of the pound crept up back on me. My goal is Christmas 7Lb down and then we"ll see.

I agree that the amount of added sugar in many food is outrages. When I moved to USA I couldn't get use to all sweet tastes, but sure enough I'm a sugar addict now. It is easy source of energy and mood boost with horrendous negative consequences (weight gain, depression, mood swings, PMS). I'm glad it is getting some head lines. Poor kids here are fed with it from early childhood and do not know how "plain foods" taste like.

Well, I'm keeping it around 138 and I left the 135 goal behind. During summer there is no time for me sit in front of computer. Gym is the only thing that keeps me in the mode and surprisingly "CC" mind. I eat pretty well. Not gaining is great for me. And once everyone goes back to school I can push it little forward if my body agrees. Oh I forgot to look at the challenge.....I'll edit this or get back to you later. Thanks Lily for reminder.

It was smaller everywhere but it can be by the position of measurement. I work out like crazy and my butt went through a makeover. I feel all over tighter.

Water....well.... I cannot keep the system going. It is random. I guess I'm not doing that well. I drink a lot during and after workout though and also at work. I hope I can make it to Zumba in the morning since I have to go get my teeth cleaned. It is quite addictive.

My soundtrack has a lot of foreign music from my youth, classical Beethoven on the more dramatic days and Vivaldi on the light and sunny. But really I like everything new I can shout and has more "bounce". AFI the older tracks are more like me. On the quieter me is best Ron Pope - Fireflies and any of the crazy Damien Rice tracks.

Snacks: I like the sesame honey roasted sticks, almond butter on the spoon, watermelon, carrot juice, Odwalla Superfood, Veggie Crunchers, different nut clusters.

On weight loss note..... I'm maintaining and Zumba does miracle for my butt. I'm happy with the way I look right now. And another sort of a compliment happened to me. Kid in front of my kid's high school gave me a dirty look a few times now. First it creeped me out but now I think it is funny and a little flattering. Now I do not get out of car though... haha.

OK I have to turn this into positive experience and let's say instead of weight loss I achieved maintenance and that didn't happened before. I'm not trying to lose any more. Just pain free maintenance is my goal. If I lose more great, but my body is happy where I am. And mainly I'm less depressed. But amazing results from Zumba. That mad class, after month of taking it gives me amazing butt lift!!!!! Last time I put on my yoga pant and was ready to mope over the little hang-on under the pantie line - IT WASN"T THERE!!!! I kept looking for it during the class....GONE! I kept jiggling it and it didn't make that flabby noise. Just little boing. Haha

I have read all your posts this nice quiet morning and you are all doing great. COmpliment to you for all your hard work. Once people notice the process gets speed up.

I just said quiet and my boys picked a fight. Where was I? I have to compliment all of you for amazing results. Way to go! and Thanks Lily for setting this up.

Week 6 challenge: One of my high school friends (we all still keep in touch even with old boyfriends from that period....kind of funny small town eastern European habit) recently found my picture on our class website and wrote me where did I find the time machine. I still think about it. On our last reunion I was 72KG and looking like true middle aged woman. Since then I got back to 63kg and looked just like after high school and people took notice even over the sea. It feels darn good. Also my ex asked me if I'm on a diet, because this time it is really working.....well, too late man.

I must have some mental block. I keep forgetting and when I went to store specifically for lemons I walked out of the store without lemons. Not much water drinking happening here today. I have to pop one of my mineral water bottles to catch up. It is harder then I anticipated.

OK, I have to go buy lemons. I was not as good about drinking water as I declared. I drank a lot of carrot juice and that doesn't count. Also can anyone explain 140 on my scale this morning? I sinned all weekend, but also I was super active. And 3Lb jump seems little extreme. I worked out a lot Tue and Wed and I work as a massage therapist and that is physical. I just go down 137 and bounce back over and over and over. I might not meant to be 135 which is my goal.

Sorry that is not motivational for anyone, but I just wanted to vent. I also feel bad to not contribute to the group effort to "feed the hungry". I might be pushing my body where it really doesn't want to go (high school weight). Now it is in collage. Oh well!

Yep, I agree with everyone...... water is good and we all have the tendency to not drink enough..... I like the lemon idea Bubbles!

I need 10 glasses for working physically and now I go to Zomba again I have to have giant amount....so far I just drank coffee this morning. Shame on me!

JTH are you serious????? I'm sorry for you. I remember I lost it once and I'm really happy I still have an husband. Rage (or whatever it was) is exhausting. If I would be a dude someone got hurt for sure. How are you feeling? DO you still have a job? I hope you are all right. You seem like a very cool guy.

On the weight loss side of it...not very good way to lose weight man. Tough week!

Friday at last. This is my day off and clean. Everyone is out of the house and I work hard to get this place nice so they can trash it back where it was the moment they all come home. This is going to be my work out.

Good news on the scale!!!! I'm back where I started and now I need to get the 2 little Lbs off and I have plenty of time till the end of the challenge and proof that it is really there too. So anyone who hit the no lose streak.....keep going!!!

Best of all I didn't log this week I just tried to really focus and listen to my body and some basic rules and practice little restrain. Magic happened. Have a great weekend.

Hi everyone!!!!!

I'm starting on happy note. The scale is finally moving I was 135.8 this morning, but it is still few more days before weigh in. I'm sure the darn thing will go up just for the weigh in, but I'm excited.

For Challenge 5. A couple weeks ago I went to try new class Zomba and the trainer was out of town with no sub. We did some dance, but yesterday I finally tried the real thing. WHAT A FUN CLASS!!!!! Totally new for me and I moved parts that wouldn't move before. Since my extra long torso looks like a log and moves like a log she let us use this belly dancers scarf around our waist with dingily coins on it (in total impulse I bought one....what's got into me?). It made us move our hips more. She was so patient with me. I showed my man some of the steps and his eyes light up. Haha..... what a energy and mood boost. My obliques protesting today, but hey.... stop complaining and shake it!

I got to go yoga now to stretch it out. Good luck everyone!!!!! Have fun as much as I had! Zombaaaa..........

I'm slowly getting to my start weight. That's screwed up. I also still struggle with the sugar issues. That will be long process. Weirdly... I feel much better!!! I guess when everyone here is getting happier it effects me. Week ago we were all kind of down here when I read the notes, but this week is calmly optimistic. The challenge made as all appreciate more what we started to take for granted. Great strategy lilygirl!!!!

Mini#4:

There is a lot of good stuff...... as you all said. Feeling pretty, sexy, shameless, have a sex drive. My teen daughter likes to go shop with me now and makes me try crazy stuff, compliments me..... even I don't see her point many times. Getting swim suit with the whole back opened (not bikini...too old for that). Shopping for swim suit and not just grabbing whatever in Costco. Most of all..... I LOVE super short hair. When I was heavier I always felt like the cut doesn't belong on the bigger figure...... now.... oh yeah baby. My man hates it and calls me Kevin, but I think it's hot.

By the way I'm finally losing again. It is now moving between 137.8 and 138.2. I haven't seen 139 since weigh in Friday. Yey!

Love the statistics lilygirl..... seemed to cheer up a lot of us...you rock woman!

Wow, busy week. I manage to go to Zumba and yoga and I was fully booked at work all week. Kept deficit and didn't lose anyway. I see the light though. My body is on break from my brain....showing off who's the boss. Staying in the challenge #3 spirit I just got out of long bath and painted my toe nails. Now I need to snap to reality because house is a mess and if I should enjoy mother's day weekend I have to get it ready now...how ironic.

Some people doing some cool stuff - silent retreat sounds the best to me, but there is not 6 days I could be missed... I cannot wait to see what is the next mini challenge. Congrats to all who lost some pounds and the rest who keeps trying.

Oh what a sweet idea bubbles. Since I didn't get to play with kitten I went for LONG walk and found something like a forest....well it is green belt with two rain water ponds with some really cool water birds I haven't seen before. No one was there and it was pretty quiet and cooler then during the hot day....it was lovely!!!! Almost like at home. I have to snatch your idea bubbles556..... I think Friday morning when everyone is gone.....

I'm trying to think like when I was 16...... long time ago :-), but I remember. Different times...never thought about what I'm eating, just cramming whatever. Lucky to have good supply of fruits and veggies (relatively). But 16 is very busy time..... you are turning or better you are woman now. That is sometimes hard to handle. Your body is changing. I remember that I gained butt literally over night and it felt huge to me. In my head I was kid. Today with so many choices and huge amount of processed foods and in the same time so much focus on health and beauty it can drive one crazy. But one think is true and i see it in my 14 year old daughter..... much, much less activity. I bet moving around kicks in happier moods and shifts the focus somewhere else and not so much inward.

Good luck to you......not much of an advice, but don't be so hard on yourself.....go for a bike ride instead.

Thank you so much. The support here at CC+ is so great. It was eye opening when I found myself with deficit, losing, but being total emotional mess. This is new then just quit cold turkey like I did before, but there is still 7 weeks in this challenge and once I'm without cravings and binging...... watch out! haha

So it is I'm not much of a schmoozer. I love to read you comments and stories, but feel like I have not much to say.

Sadly this challenge made me think probably too long what I love to do. It is all so foreign. I love walking through the forest by myself....not many deep forests in Texas. I love cross country skying.....the same problem. One think that gave me unexpected joy and flash back of my childhood joy was a little kitten. My ex got our daughter kitten she cannot have in my house (one of my dogs is serious hunter) I was very upset because it felt irresponsible to get her animal she cannot fully take care of and also she wants to stay more in his house now which gave me a lot of grief. Because of feeling bad for the little kitten I took her to his house (I hate going there) to play on Friday after school. That little tiger is so cute and I feel even more sorry for him because he is allowed only in her room and my ex is traveling (I hope his wife plays with him a little too...sigh). So I took her there yesterday again(got more upset because he somehow closed the door to crate with his food and water and I don't know how long he couldn't get to it). For today I need to get there again and play.... to satisfy my joy and make sure the kitty is OK. My husband is getting upset with me obsessing over it.

I also love gardening (and it is fine here in Texas) and even it is lot of work my roses. I worked on them yesterday but there can be more work done today as well.

I must keep going....for weight loss, I'm taking different route now. I will probably not see much weight going down while my body is getting used to new management style. I need to shift more to protein and healthy carbs and there is a lot of arguing about it between me and my body....we are trying to be one....not just skinny, moody mess.

Keep up the good work every body!!!!!
