| Weight Loss | Cripes, Starbucks! | Nov 16 2007 16:25 (UTC) |

I own a coffe shop and there are many misconceptions about what is actually in the drinks.... If you want "less-fat" ask for a Skinny Latte or Capp. Remember that if you can always ask for half the syrup which would actually be better for you than getting the sugar free syrups. Also if you are looking at low-carb (which is what I prefer) as for a Breve. (a breve is your espresso drink with half n half) Although a breve is lo carb it is high in calories, but hey, you are getting a treat right? Also keep in mind that one shot of "true" espresso has the caffeine equivilant of 4 cokes. So if you need a good jolt you can do an Americano, which is just espresso and hot water. If you do that then you can add a raw sugar and go! Americano would be the best way to do a low calorie espresso. Regular coffee is also easy to go also calorie free. Also if you go to a coffee shop that makes specialty drinks the "old fasioned" way you really are better off as far a quality and freshness. Starbucks beans are often stale and everything is done by machine. Coffee and espresso does have antioxitants if it is fresh... |

Gosh, what horrible things people can say. My most recent "incident" was when I was at the meat counter at our nearby Publix. I must not have been paying attention to my posture is all I can really make of this comment but still it really made me think about my appearance. There I was standing there waiting on the guy behind the counter when another male employee walked by and stopped to look at me and said, "Oh so when are you due?" I said , "Excuse me?" He repeated his question still not realizing that he was about to make me run and hide in embarassment.... I then told him that I was not "expecting" but I did have a one year old (I guess that was my self justification). He then appoligized and continued with what he was doing... The guy behind the counter must have seen the horror in my face and tried to hurry up with some compliments, which just bounced off me and fell right to the floor along with my dignity. And here I had just lost a few pounds and evidently did not look like it yet Nice huh |

Well, I read the info on it a long time ago......Basically what happens is it goes deep in to your thermal fat....the heat does speed up your heart rate (for some reason last time I thought my heart was going to pump itself out of my chest!) and it pretty much begins "burning" your extra calories.... and because of that it also helps to cleanse you body of toxins too. I'm going to get one tomorrow and I can get the "correct" information on it for you. Last saturday when I had one I felt like I had lost 10 lbs afterward. I didn't but it is nice to feel like it. |

| Thank-you. HAHAHA Sometimes I wonder if my head is playing tricks on me..."is it really a comfortable six? or am I just telling myself that.... Are you SURE that you don't look huge in those pants...cause the scales say you are "slightly overweight". HAHAHA it is a never ending cycle huh! | |||

I have had several. The main thing that they help to accomplish is cleansing your body. If you have a lot of excess water weight it will help with that to. The one that I did also burns up to 1200 calories so it is as good as having a extreme workout. So, you would have to do them pretty regularly to have actual inches taken off. I do them every once in a while so I haven't noticed weight loss or inches for sure. You do feel good afterwards though. |

Honestly, I did take if for a while (but not religously). I really did not see that much of a difference. Although, the women at the health food store said that it has done wonders for them...maybe I just didn't take it long enough. |

| Fitness | Total-Teardown. Need help building serious muscle. | Oct 24 2007 21:50 (UTC) |

Yep, more protein. Let me give a suggestion that my husband has actually done and the results were incredible! He would have 4 HUGE meals a day which included a type of meat (tuna, grass fed beef, chicken,...) of HUGE proportions. And with his meat he would eat 2 whole cans of Legumes. (any kind of beans) And he would not touch any types of sugar, much less anything else. He drank Organic milk and water. He would go to the gym and MAX OUT. Do as much weight as you can stand...as slowly as you can stand it. The main goal is not how many reps. you can do, the goal was to pump SLOWLY which enables your muscles to grow. Give yourself 2-3 days in between gym days. Within 2 months he gained 20lbs worth of mass. (without taking any kind of suplements) |

| Weight Loss | I hid my scale, I've been on a five day binge, and I feel like a failure! | Oct 24 2007 21:36 (UTC) |

| Ok, first of all you have got to get your emotions in order...otherwise you will never feel good about yourself. How big was your friend? Because to have lost 60 lbs. and still be healthy...... you are not in the same category. If you were to loose even 20 lbs. you would be looking pretty sickly. (unless you are 4'5") In order to be healthy even your weight is not the issue, it is your total body fat. I would go and get your total body fat checked out. And honestly girls are supposed to have more than guys....for obvious reasons... Guys don't prefer sickly looking girls. They prefer healthy and fit girls. | |||
