Haha yes I did, oddly enough. But only like 3 lbs. I don't look any different.

And thanks!

Just try upping them, and don't weigh yourself the day after upping them haha, wait a couple of days first.

I have/had the exact same problem.

For a couple months, I was eating far too little for someone my age/stature, especially since I am still growing, and I was actually gaining weight, which was scaring me alot because I thought I had permanently screwed up my metabolism.

But I went to see my dietician, and she said my body was starting to hoard food and store it as 'excess' because it was preparing itself for another one of my starvation periods. She told me I needed to eat more (almost 1000 calories more!) and that would eventually bring my metabolism back up to speed.

Reluctantly, I upped my calories up by 400-600 (depending on the day) and surprisingly, I actually LOST weight. But now I have balanced it out and I think I'm finally on track again.

Maybe this helps?

Sigh, I feel oddly proportioned as well..

5'6, and 128 lbs, but a size 6-8ish.

Must be my 'bubble butt' lol.

Also the fact that I'm a 'late bloomer' and have more growing to do.

Wow guys, thanks for all the replies! After reading them all, I've been eating a little more (1500), and I haven't weighed myself in a while, but I haven't felt like I've gained weight in about a week, so I'm hoping that its working, by eating more.

A lot of people have told me that I'm just going through a late puberty because I've stunted it for the past 4-5 years, so its all coming rapidly now, especially since I have just gotten my period about a month ago. But the thing that worries me the most is that I don't think I look like I should, because my family is genetically very slim, and right now, I look a little on the chubby side because most of my weight gain has gone to my stomach, and I honestly just feel very self conscious about it all the time, because for the past couple years, everyone has always told me I'm too skinny etc, and now I'm heavier than alot of my friends. I just don't feel very comfortable at this weight. But I've decided to wait it out and see if I grow at all within the next couple of months, plus I'm going to the doctor soon, so we'll see what happens.

Also, hypothyroidism--is it curable?

I love vitamuffins. They're not quite the same as a costco muffin or an otis spunkmeyer muffin, certainly not as good as a fresh-baked muffin from a coffeshop, but they satifsfy a craving and have some fiber and protein and vitamins.

I buy the deep chocolate ones and the blueberry or cranberry apple ones in the frozen section of the grocery store, or sometimes i buy a mix and make my own sf banana nut muffins.

You can order them online...I don't because it's expensive but they have so many amazing flavors like peanut butter chocolate chip and triple chocolate chunk.

And they're only 100 calories!

I'm with kajikit here. While it might be a few cals over, it's not a huge difference. 3 ounces of a meat compared to 4 is a huge difference though. At the end of the day, it's close enough for me.

Although, I wonder if there's a difference in starting weight and viewpoint. I mean, compare how many calories I used to eat to maintain/increase my weight before I started to my current intake. 100 calories is nothing when you're over 300 to start. But if you only need to lose 10 pounds, seems like it'd be harder.

lol a few calories over?

you have to remember that a serving of cereal is typically around 30g. even if you put it in a cup and then weigh it out and it's 10g more--and even though 10 isn't a big number--that's 1/3 more calories. in a 120 calorie cereal, that's 40 calories more...

40 calories is not a big deal at all.
