Okay, I am having myself a pity party and wanted to invite you ladies. I can't seem to shake this cold or whatever it is. I feel so weak. My chest hurts. It tastes like cigarettes when I cough and I haven't smoked in almost three years. All I did yesterday is sleep and I missed a day of my Smart Coach running program. I felt so bad. I never miss a workout. Like in a year, maybe one. I thought maybe I could make it up today but I feel so weak I don't think it is going to happen.

And I am sick of calorie counting. Maybe it is my mood or something but I need a break from logging everything I eat. Just a few days and hopefully I will feel better about everything. I guess this would be the time to take a break since I don't feel like eating food anyway. I actually ate some chicken noddle soup last night and I hate that stuff. But it was the only thing that sounded remotely good. I hope at least everyone else is feeling great and is going to have a wonderful weekend. I just needed to vent a little. I'm done. Feel a little better.

No, just make sure it affects your totals is all. Or when you do your next post you can adjust it then.

Ladies I am taking a few days off from counting. I will still get my exercise/burn pts and weight loss if any but I think I need a break even if for a few days. I will still watch what I eat, just won't be logging anything. I think that is what has been getting to me. I can't shake this cold and that is making everything worse. All I want to do is lay on the couch. I feel bad because I never miss scheduled exercise and I couldn't do it yesterday. Ughh. I just want to feel better.

Thank you for your response. I kind of freaked out a little when I got my in seam measured and it was close to an inch difference. My posture has always been poor but I would like to blame it on the scoliosis. I feel funny sitting or standing straight up. I would love to get a massage even if nothing happened from it. LOL. Thanks again! :)

TTOM - Ginger root either chewed or a tbsp of powder in some apple sauce. (I took it straight one time and accidentally inhaled it...coughed for an hour. LOL)

Cayene pepper capsule. Those two together cures my cramps everytime.

Anyone got anything for the crabbiness I have felt today though? Can get the cramps but can't quit being a b****.

I agree with everything said so far. I have done cleansing (never past the three day mark yet) but I have a juicer and wouldn't recommend doing it with store bought juice. I also used a protein supplement and a few other herbs as well. It is a great experience and gave me a total new outlook on food and health in general but shouldn't be done for weight loss. Only for a cleanse, physical, emotional, or spiritual. Good luck!

I just wanted to say that I have nice legs and don't life weights. I run and do cross training. No access to a gym. Some people aren't lucky enough to have access to any kind of weight system and are stuck using their body weight for training. And also, just to say something that irks me just a little...anytime someone suggests anything other than lifting in the fitness forum people jump all over them. Lifting isn't the only thing to get definition.

In regards to the original op, I run. Then for the imbalance I do bulgarian slpit squats, lunges, core exercises, and thrusts. I did get some good exercises for imbalance at the No Business Running article. Good luck!

I just want to rant a little about the fitness forum. "Anytime someone suggests anything other than lifting weights for something you get ripped to peices. WTF? Lifting weights isn't the only thing you can do to get definition and some people may not want to life weights or even have access to a gym. I think the fitness forum and the people who seem to frequent it are very biased." End rant. Sorry.

Hiya ladies!!! I have a toddler who isn't feeling the greatest and I havn't been able to get him off my lap. Driving me crazy since he instists in kneading the "milk" like dough. For the past day and a half. Last night I thought I was gonna cry. Yes, its my fault for letting him get so attached (I havn't nursed him in almost a year but he still holds his "milk"). Okay, just wanted to gripe a little.

Soraya- My TOM is here as of today and I am not looking forward to waking up tomorrow. That is when everything hits me. As for not eating everything in sight...lets see how I do and maybe I will have some advice...but I doubt it. :) Glad to see you are feeling better though and jeans will be looser in no time flat.

Tina- Welcome! I'm Carlyn. I have been counting calories for 6 months now and I love it. In fact, I just got my boyfriend to start it up, too. Only a couple of days into it for him though. Maybe tell your b/f you want to weigh once a week to get him to not ask about the daily weigh in? Just a thought.

Helena!!! That is soooooo cool you hit your goal. As with the other ladies here I am so inspired by you wanting to be healthy and caring about your life the way that you do. You rock!!

Jla- Glad to hear you had a good V-day. I did a little too much celebrating, too...and am just now back down to the weight I was before the holiday. And also, we sometimes struggle financially but the best thing about my life right now is the fact that I am at home with the child. I really liked what you said about money only being worth what makes your heart happy.

Well, here is the thing for me. I should hit my goal weight of 115-120 no later than the middle of April but I would still come and log to maintain and check in with you guys.

So, weigh in still on Friday's then until July 4th? And what are you ladies trying to lose by then. What are we doing to reach our goals?

Obviously, this months goal for myself was a little low. Hahaha. So, I guess I am going to aim for 17,500 now since I know I am not giving myself a break on anything whether I said I would or not. I think 17,500 may be a little hard since thats a little over 550 for the rest of the month but it is something to shoot for. This challenge rocks!

Serenitcat- I honestly don't know how you have focused on weight loss the way you have and I commend you for keeping it up. I think Alle gave some good advice about maybe taking some emotional distance. I love my mother but in some cases things said and done can't be reversed. I went six entire months and wouldn't return contact because of something said about my child (nothing to be repeated...ever). No phone, letters, email anything. We have a pretty okay relationship now but that time was really needed for both of us to reflect on what was important. I hope things get better for you and I am so sorry you had to deal with the things in your life that you went through.
