I was also wondering what would happen to those who start maintaining weight. My time goal was originally March 08, but I don't really think that's going to happen, esp since everyone says that the closer you get to your goal weight, the harder it is to lose more. Anyway we'll see, but in the meantime, I think the idea of being able to "give" a pound to another team member is a good one. I'm just thinking 2 might be too much. Hopefully no one ever gains any back though, so they won't need that, lol. =) |

I guess I can try running. I just hate it is all. =) Steps I don't mind cause I own a step bench and can do them in my room, haha. I was thinking about possibly signing up for an aerobic dance class, but I don't know yet if I really want to or not. Thanks for the suggestions though. =) Very helpful. |

:) Whee, a club for my height~ Age: 18 Starting Weight: 162 (Nov. 5th 2007) Current Weight: 160 (Nov. 8th 2007) Ultimate Goal Weight: 125 by June 2008 (A friend is getting married, otherwise I'd be happy with this date being later, teehee.) Basically I just want to feel good about myself by eating healthier and exercising regularly. :) |

I might just be weird in this, but it works for me, so it might help someone else out there... Candles. Scented candles are amazing. I got a gingerbread cookie scented candle a couple weeks ago, and I just smell it every now and then, and somehow it keeps me from eating sweets. Maybe because I'm replacing tasting with smelling? I don't know, all I know is it helps keep me on track. As for when I'm around cookies and things, I just think of how many calories they all have in them, which is too many to make it worth it right now since I'm trying to lose a decent amount of weight, and that generally keeps me in line. If you can't shake the sweet tooth, try making fruit smoothies in a healthy way? This is something I plan on doing soon, I just need to buy a blender... :) Lolz, thinking about it, I probably am just abnormal with the scented candle deal. =) |

=) Awesome. Well then, here're my stats. Starting weight: 162lbs on Nov. 5th, 2007 Mini goal for Dec. 30th, 2007: 150lbs Mini goal for Feb 17th, 2008: 140lbs ULTIMATE weight goal: 125lbs Weight loss plan: Cutting out all sorts of sweets, including the "sugar-free" candies. Basically last January I started to diet by cutting out chocolate and exercising 3-4 times per week, and I lost something like 15-20 lbs in 3 months. I've kept most of it off, but I want to lose more, so I'm trying this technique again. Eating healthier; when I want sweets, go for Crystal Light or fruits. Also, I'm starting to exercise 6 times per week. Cardio (in the form of step aerobics), Strength (weight room), and wall climbing. My boyfriend is also very into losing some weight and getting healthier, so he helps me stay motivated. =) Food Weakness: Chocolate. Hot chocolate, especially, since the colder months are ahead... Also, around the holidays, pumpkin pie. And sour patch kids. I swear those candies are addictive. :(
