Huge Congrats from Bruce in Connecicut.............I hit the 50lb weight loss this week as well and know how far you have come.....GREAT WORK.   If your like me it motivates you to keep going baby !!!

Your numbers have improved so much......it is exactly what I experienced which proves fact that eating right and excercise IS THE KEY TO HEALTH.

 My CPAP machine was set at 11.  Don't use it anymore.....glad to see you aren't aither.   The only problem is my wife says I looked sexier with the mask...HAHAHAHA!.........

Snoring...........my family would literally have me sleep on the porch at the beach house when we had company sleeping over.........I USE TO RATTLED THE WINDOWS MAN!   I am off my sleep apnea machine......no more snoring and I unplugged the machine this week and put it back in the bag.  I am finally dreaming again which was impossible before because I would never get to rem sleep........it's so good to dream again........HAHA!

The clothes thing is really funny........I have just begun experiencing shopping at normal stores again with normal prices.  HAHA

 Again.....congrats buddy.

I am new member and caught some of your previous posts and I have been really impressed with how good you look.  You are an inspiration to me because we both kinda had the same challenge.....nearly 300 with 100 lbs to lose.  I was showing your pics to my wife and sons the other day as an example of how you can transformed yourself if you really want. 

I started at 298lbs in May and got 4 more pounds to go to HIT 50lbs LOSSED!!!!!!!!  My next fifty is going to come off hard....already slowing down (1-2 lbs per week) but the good news is that it is all fat coming off my body, not water weight or muscle and thats what has me motiviated.

I was reading your diet today....it is a lot like mine which is even more motivation for me.  I am hitting one body muscle group hard with weight training about 50 reps with four different exercises for each muscle group......usually takes me about 30 mins and then I hit the eliptical for 20-30 minutes......all of this 5 times per week.   Days I do not work out I drop the calories.  Like you I eat 6 meals per day and I am never hungry.

The real reason for my determination is recent type two diebetes........I have cut my meds in half with diet alone and hope to get off of it all together at some point. All my number, Chol,HDL,LDL,Sugar, TRIG are all normal which is the first time in 10 years.

Bottom line.......you inspire people like myself with 50 more to go..........thanks!

Your weight lifting routine is too light.....or your resting too much in between sets. My heart rate gets to 120 pumping iron resting NO MORE than 30 seconds. Get a great work out both in resistance and cardio.......no need to jump rope.

Hit the weights hard........don't rest too long between sets.....

I can see the fat has melted off my arm, legs, shoulders and back (46lbs) ....the stuff that my body is going to burn last is belly fat.

Hey Cole, I am very strict with food due to diebetes. No potatoes, no pasta...eating very little starches except for Weight Watchers wheat bread which has a great protein - carb balance.  My protein comes from chicken breast, lean ground turkey, venision and very little beef or pork.

I eat very little sugar. My carbs come from oatmeal, veg, fruits ect. My diet balance is 40%protien, 40% carbs, 20% fat.

I was 300 lbs and have done a good job losing almost 50 lbs and the fat remaining is all around my mid section which we all know is the hardest to lose. Unless I am missing something with diet..... I don't see the kitchen being a real contributor to my belly fat.

I would bet your headaches are coming from your lack of carbs.  Lack of Sugar is likely the reason why having headaches.

I am diebetic and I know when I am low......sugars are down.   Are you diebetic.....does it run in your family.......you may want your doctor to give an "A1C" test.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with your diet....lows carbs....low sugar.....low fat......all really reduce your body'd energy level.  The fact that you say your hungry all the time also points to a very low fat diet result.

First...let me say your not alone...very common issue with "eliptical" training....happens to me as well.  Second...your working your muscle groups way to frequently.  If your training them hard during the session they DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH REST TO RECOVER/BUILD/TONE. 

Basically your over doing it in all aspects of your workout.  Work one/two muscle groups per strength training session PER WEEK.  Do cardio on an "off strength" training day.

Sorry to say......but the absolute best thing you could do for your body at this point is to stay away from the Gym for an entire week......get good sleep and for God sakes let your body rest.......this is very important for sustainability.

I work hard in the gym as well and hated to have to do the same thing a couple weeks ago......took a whole week off........was on the eliptical today for an hour..............no back pain tonight.....trust me it works......LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!

It is really crazy how you can change your body dramatically in A very short period of time.  Unfortunately takes a life changing event at times.......I waited to long but it has motivated me.

Forget the grade guys.....watch your calorie limit......make sure your carbs/Protein/fats are proportioned correctly....for me its 40%/40%/20%.......keep an eye on the piecharts...it tells a better story.

Its about habit.........crapy reply I know but I was in the same boat as your.   I faithfully drink 1-1.5 gallons per day.....matter of fact Poland Springs just delivered another 25 gallons......truth.

So how do I do it...............I break it up into thirds.  One third before I leave home in the morning........another third before lunch and another before dinner.   I do not chug but I do drink the thirds in short period of time.........like half an hour.

First two weeks.......get ready.......you'll be peeing every 1/2 hour.  Body then adjust to normal.

It is really about habit.............I will agree...it aint easy but so what if you screw up one day......you still be head at the end of the week.

Drink Up !!

try a brand of pasta called "dreamfields".  It was carbs but does not raise sugar level....great stuff and is satisfying every now and then.
