I'm in too! I have exactly 10 pounds to go. I'm at 125 right now. A few weeks ago I was at 122 but lost track while studying for midterms. Now I'm ready to get down to 115! I'm 5'6" and 20 years old. I do some sort of cardio 4-5 days a week. My main goal lately has been to eat better, which for me means cutting back on cereal! Christmas is a perfect goal for me and is great motivation to try and get through the Halloween candy season with minimal damage.

Foods pasta...why is the calorie count different types of pasta Jul 07 2008

How long you cook pasta also has an effect on it's glycemic index number, though not the number of calories. If it's cooked al dente, then it won't spike your blood sugar and your body will get more energy out of the pasta, meanng you can eat a little less and still have the energy.

I'm a DDR expert! If you're looking to start the game, getting the Wii version is fine, but don't expect to get a workout as you improve because even on higher levels, it's not much more challenging than running, and the hand motions aren't doing much for you. The best versions are DDRMax and Max2 for the PS2. I started playing in high school, and after a few weeks was playing expert mode, and I would play all weekend with friends, and we all lost about 15-25 pounds each over the course of a semester. Of course, we were gamers who sat around most of the time, so any movement contributed to weight loss!

As for logging the activitiy, if you're doing songs that have a lot of jumping, I would put it under jump rope. With the steps in some songs, you can definitely be burning 20-25 calories a song. So overall, I think the higher levels have accurate burn counters, but not the easy levels.

I'm 15 (and a half...) pounds away from my goal and I would love to be there by August 25th. I'm currently trying to lose 10 pounds by about the 7th of August before I go visit my boyfriend!

Height: 5'5"

Current weight: 130.5

Goal by August 7: 120

Goal by August 25: 115

I do cardio for 30-45 minutes 5-6 days a week and do strength training 2-3 days a week. I started last November at 154 pounds. I keep the jeans I wore the last time I was 115 pounds by my bed so that when I wake up I see my motivation first thing.

Good luck everyone!
