Weight Loss Shower effect? Jan 08 2008

I have a Omron body fat scale and if I'm not mistaken, in the manual it speaks of the DO's and DON'Ts of weighing yourself and right after taking a shower is one of the DON'Ts, right along with weighing yourself right after you eat and drink. Don't know exactly why, but apparently our body composition changes.....

hey maruiz, i'm relatively new as well. i joined 11/07 and have only lost a couple of pounds. i do, however come to the site almost everyday and i do input my info--cals eaten, exercising, etc. it's a little frustrating that i've only lost 2 lbs, but i contribute it to something i'm not doing right or on a consistent basis.

i rarely post on the board, i basically do a search on the site and check out what's been going on, finding answers to my questions, but i feel inclined to reply to you.

i'm 37, mother of 3 and i live in CA too---san berdo county. incidentally, i blame my weight gain on my husband tooWink

but about the frustation thing---you are by no means alone. it happens. the best advice i can give you is to take one step at a time. if you fall off, get back on and don't be hard on yourself and try to gather all the knowledge you can regarding eating healthy, exercising in your target heart rate(to get the full benefit of working out.etc..---there's so much, but the beautiful thing is, it can be done.

i began embarking on my weight lost journey in 2005. i started off walking 30 min/day/3x week and slowly changing my eating habits, like cut back my sugar intake, very RARELY do i drink sodas anymore, included whole wheat and fiber into my diet, limit junk food---just making those few changes you will find a difference in inches and a few pounds! since then, i've only lost about 11lbs--about 20 more to go--but it makes a difference.

i'm here to encourage you and answer if i can--take care
