You may want to aim for a more realistic goal- such as 5 lbs- and look into hiring a seamstress.

Health & Support period troubles.. Feb 25 2008

Look people, all she wants is an answer to her question, which in case you forgot, was about her period and not about getting bashed about her caloric intake. Yes, she probably knows that she doesn't eat enough and it's unhealthy and she shouldn't do it. Ok, got it. Now answer her damn question!

First of all, make sure you're not pregnant. Second, if your eating habits have been the same, and your periods were regular prior to this month, it could have something to do with traveling and the changes that occurred to your body (i.e.- sleeping adjustments due to time difference, etc.). But in all reality, only a doctor could give a more well informed answer. I would google your symptoms on the internet and just try to find as much info as possible. I too had a period problem this month, I don't know what's going on. But I'll find out.

what do you mean "what's wrong with me'? Stretchmarks are common while gaining AND losing weight. However, they still suck! I haven't tried Mederma before-but I'll definitely look into it. So does it make them disappear or just fade to lighter color so that it blends in more with your skin tone?

true, ducklingerthank, but being that I have been in a relationship with him for so long, I am very 'wary' of sleeping with someone that I don't really know well. I feel that I will need to date someone new for a while before any sexual relations. Oh well, I'll just become a crazy bitch I guess!(that's how I get when I don't have sex) BUT I'm not looking forward to it! Thank you all for your input.

i do masturbate, but it doesn't bring me the same 'satisfation'. I honestly feel like I'm doomed. My 'ex' and I where 'connoscieires' ( or however you spell it) in the bedroom. Toys and maturbation was a'foreplay' to us.

you definitely need to stop binging! I think that 'ainedb' is right about finding out more about 'your' face shape. The right haircut will do WONDERS for framing your face perfectly. Don't look to food for the answer, look to makeup and hairstyles. Like me, I havea really round and puffy face. Therefore, I hardly ever put my hair up in a ponytail or bun, b/c it just accentuates the 'bigness' of my face. I like to wear my hair down and with bangs, to frame my face best!

get the 12 and alter it. And start excersing and eating your daily caloric amount. You will notice a BIG difference when you start excersing. Basically, not exercising, doubles your time. You could lose 5 lbs in 5 weeks with no exercise, or 5 lbs in 3 weeks WITH exercise. Sorry girly, but you gotta start excersing to get the results that you wanna see!

anyone will do, really. I've taken every one there is out there. Basically, if ONE test says yes, than try another or call your doctor. But if the first test yes, be prepared that every brand you try after that . . . .the result will still be 'pregnant'.  WHen I found out I was pregnant, I took 3 at home tests, 2 planned parenthood tests and 2 doctor tests. ALL SAID THAT I WAS PREGNANT!

is your count accurate? Dont forget to count EVERYTHING-that tbsp of butter, or that tbsp of mayo. And also be sure to count your portions. I measure everything I eat so that I have an accurate #. Also, don't forget to include little bites that you take of snacks, even if it was just a bite or two. When I first started, I thought I was doing so good on CC, but overtime, I realized that I was snacking alot, and not recording it. Now, I record and weigh everything and my results are ALOT better. You'll be surprised how easy it is to eat ALOT of calories! I eat ALOT of veggies and fruits and depending on the veggie, it can add up to alot of calories.

I like to wrap a gardenburger patty in a leaf of lettuce (102 calories). Chix noodle soup ( 150 calories). 5 slices of fat free deli meats and 6-9 carrots (10 cals per slice if you get Hillshire Farms ham and turkey). 1 hard boiled egg (no yolk) and 5 melba snacks (77 cals), substitute the melba snacks for carrots and it's less calories. And if you haven't tried any of the salad spritzers, I recommend them! 1-2 calories per spray and you can spray them evenly over your salad. I've substituted mayo and mustard on a sandwhich, butter on toast, and cream cheese on bagels with spritzers, way less calories! These are just some of my favorites! I too read the same post from the nutritionist and tagged it so I can always refer back to it!

you have to remember that while your trying to lose weight, you're also reconditioning your brain and mentality. Think about how long you've been heavy, and how long you've been trying to learn better eating habits. You've been heavy longer, right? Learning to live a more healthier lifestyle doesn't come over night. You have to train yourself to eat healthier. SO. . .  while your cravings for junk food may still be there, it's alot more under control than it used to be, right?? Just give it time- with time, you'll learn how to control it better and make better eating choices in the future. In the meantime, a few slip ups here and there is ok. Just don't fall back into the "oh well, I screwed up, I might as well give up!" mentality. You're doing good. Just be sure to jump back to your healthy eating after your slip ups! Cool

I wouldn't allow the scale to gauge your mood. There's many different factors that could account for the 2.5 lbs. Go by how you feel. I jumped on the scale this morning and was up 2 lbs but I didn't let it get to me, b/c my waist went down half an inch. You can FEEL the difference. Just stick to it and listen to how your body feels.

oh yeah. YOu can totally tell the difference. Your stomach is getting flatter. ANd the one of just your face, you can see your arms (no offense:) and your arms look bigger there. Your doing a great job! Keep it up!

and by the way, I think that your always gonna view yourself as a 'fat' person. I think that it's b/c we've conditioned ourselves to believe that we're fat. I have always thought I was fat ever since I can remember as a little kid. As I got older I lost some weight, just working and living on my own and stuff. And I've always thought of myself as being fat. But when I look at pictures of me like 3 years ago, oh my god, I WAS skinny. I remember that I still thought I was fat then. :) SO I think that the only way you can no longer think of yourself as a 'fat' person, is if you recondition your brain to think more positively about yourself. I have the same problem, and I fight it everyday.

I like Don Pancho's whole wheat tortilla. They're only 70 calories/tortilla. But there's 2 packages that look similar, a green one and a blue one. The blue one is the one that's 70 cals- the other is double that amount.

HA HA HA HA HA!!! Apparently, I'm an eating disorder promoter!I don't starve myself! It's an example of a DAY. Your all misunderstanding me. Because according to everyone right now, I'm an anorexic advocate who starves herself and is advising everyone else to do the same and has the stupidest opinions ever. Right! That's me in a nutshell! You all just know me so well!  My bad, I thought this was a forum and not a scientific discussion nor a crucification.

Thanks :) I'm just saying, God created Adam and Eve to live off the land . . off of fruits and vegetables. But we now live in a world of processed food and what plagues us? OBESITY! Obviously, if God didn't think that we could live off of fruits and vegetables, basically, anything naturally grown from the land,  than he would have created chips and cheeseburgers to grow from the ground! And I'm sure that Adam and Eve weren't calorie deficient nor did they count their calories to make sure that they got enough for that day!

I mean, what's the difference between eating the menu that I outlined previously and eating a big mac value meal from McDonalds? The big mac will give me 1500 calories. But which of the 2 is more healthy and better for my body? My point exactly!

Weight Loss falling in a hole HELP ME Jan 19 2008

If it's boredom that's making you eat alot, than find a hobby or something that keeps you busy and happy. I've recently realized how I can just eat, even if I'm not hungry, but just b/c the food is there. The other night I came home from work, walked in the door, and my son was eating a slice of pizza. I wasn't hungry. But I just walked over to the pizza, grabbed a slice and took a bite! RIght after, I was like "what am I doing??!!! I'm not even hungry and this is so fattening!" So I took the slice, put it back on the plate and put the pizza in the microwave so that I couldn't see it. And then the urge was gone. And I went about to cook my own dinner, veggie stir fry. I had no desire to eat the pizza b/c it wasn't in front of my face. So maybe you should find your 'trigger' and learn how to disarm it. For me, it's keeping bad foods out of my sight. It's that easy, but yet it's not.

that's not odd to say. It's like me saying " I used to eat 10 chocolate chip cookies a day, but now I'm only down to 1 cookie." We all have a relationship with food and weight, whether it's a good one or a bad one. It doesn't mean that your problem isn't any less important than mine! Your here to be healthy, as am I. And you've already taken the biggest step, acknowledging that you had a problem with food. Congratulations on doing a great job! I applaud you.
