| The Lounge | Penis size after weight loss | Dec 11 2007 01:17 (UTC) |

not sure if the question was answered or if anyone even cares anymore.... but I remember Dr. Drew saying something on his Radio show Loveline something about fat causing estrogen, which can cause the penis to be smaller. I'm trying to look around online to see if i can find anything about it and will post whatever i find. I'm not sure if losing the weight would reverse anything already caused, or if it just matters if you were overweight during puberty or anything. Hopefully i can find something more concrete :) Found this little tid bit: "Fat has an enzyme that converts adrenal steroids to estrogen." on this site. and just to confirm something that i just figured but wanted to find it written: "Estrogen also shrinks the penis and testicles." found here no idea about reversing it though... |

| Weight Loss | New Scale, different result | Dec 04 2007 12:49 (UTC) |

Seems like making a note next to the weight entered is a good idea. The difference doesn't mean you actually lost the extra weight but unless you want to add 3 pounds every time you enter your weight from now on then you'll just have to pretend you lost 3 extra pounds this week... shucks! :P And i have problems with the scale changing within minutes also but i just go with the first reading. |

| Weight Loss | Do your friends and family know? | Dec 04 2007 12:42 (UTC) |

I never even thought about hiding it, glad i haven't gotten negative reactions. Most people in my life just want me to be happy and i doubt they would jump in unless they saw me as underweight. But as far as my family goes i try to get them to try this website, my dad went on Atkins so he has no room to judge my calorie counting, and after seeing someone on a more extreme diet I'd laugh at anyone that gave me the stink eye for counting calories. |

I agree it is a bit pricey but just seeing someone holding an accurate replica of 1 pound of fat helps me. I like looking at that and now know I've lost a bunch of those, and i don't want them back. Also planting something in my lost fat sounds like fun, mostly to point out to people that it is my lost fat... with a plant growing from it. Now thats a conversation starter. |

| Weight Loss | i refuse to believe that by counting calories you ONLY lose muscle | Dec 01 2007 17:59 (UTC) |

It might help to remember in these situations that the nutritionist/trainer knows what he is doing and has experience in this area. His main concern is you being happy and healthy so there is a very high chance that he is giving sound advice. He might have exagerated as a scare tactic because often times people don't like listening to advice like his even if it is good advice. Hope things turn out how you want them to! |

| Motivation | I Would Really Like a McDonald's Cheeseburger and a Large Coke! | Nov 30 2007 12:21 (UTC) |

It makes me feel a lot better knowing that I'm not the only one craving stuff like that. Usually when i hear about mcdonalds i just hear people saying how they would never go there and it's disgusting. But i don't care, i want it! I was thinking about the children's meal, or the big kids meal if they still have that. I want hamburger AND fries, yum yum. But i think after hearing about someone else craving it too will actually help me stay away from it. Plus I've barely started working on fixing my diet, seems wrong to mess it up so early! OH! And I don't know if it would help others but i think it helps when i think of all the things I've been craving and most likely their is a healthier craving that I can have instead that is just as yummy, or nearly as yummy. Fast food just tends to go to the top because i know i shouldn't have it, not because it is better than other foods. Good Luck! |

| Weight Loss | Daily Calorie intake | Nov 30 2007 11:54 (UTC) |

I think the thing is, that it's not exactly that your calorie intake is 1000, it's what your eating for that 1000 calories. If you can get a balanced diet in and you feel great, thats good. But the problem is, it's hard to get all the nutrients you need into 1000 calories. Sounds like your pretty happy with your diet, and i hope it keeps going great for you! |

"Panda Express ... steamed veggies, mushroom chicken and green bean chicken. (The broccoli beef is a good deal, too ... just 150 calories). (Don't eat the fortune cookie unless you have an extra 30 caloires to spare and watch the soy sauce if you're watching sodium.)" - Molly I've read Molly mention Panda express a few times, i found her mention this to someone else asking about fast food but it looks like you already thought of most of what she mentioned :) |

Anyone else notice as more people declare they have tried this pill it's always a new member? Made just that day? Is it coming from the same IP? this is like reading an infomercial. - Didn't want to sound rude, I only red a few of the first pages, just seemed odd. Could just be how people found the site, if they did a search for the pill or something. who knows. |

I took a look around out of curiousity. Because to me it did make sense to eat most of your calories in the morning, they do say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But I found an article that seemed to be unbiased, short, and right to the point. http://www.kpho.com/featuredstories/11116362/ detail.html If you don't want to read it, it basicly says you should try and balance your meals as equally as you can. |

oh my, that took about 3 days of reading to catch up on this thread. And it certainly makes a girl crave veggies, which is fantastic. And craving kittens and supportive DH's! And about the belt part of certain tuxes, I'm curious if they fixed cumin, think it had the same problem near the start of this thread. |

Although right away I thought it was a no brainer for the nurse situation but then again it would be a hard situation if a Doctor was trying to convince a patient they needed to lose weight and fix their unhealthy life style, if the patient's nurse was really overweight. But that aside I still think she should get hired. If you can do the job, you can do the job. |

| Weight Loss | Breast Stretch Marks | Nov 19 2007 10:35 (UTC) |

I heard a guy once say he was more than happy to see stretch marks on a girl because he associated stretch marks with large breasts. I can see not liking to see them on yourself, but i imagine if I saw a woman with double Ds I doubt I'd being thinking about her stretch marks, specially if I was male. If they are red they will fade some, but silvery white is the best they get when it comes to fading. |
