Yes, I would! What day works for you? I would like to say not a weekend day... but at the same time if it were then I might eat more healthy on the weekends knowing that Friday, Saturday and Sunday are not totally FREE days.

Let me know. I am open to anything!!

They suggest Vaseline?! Good luck!

Do you have kids? A puppy is just as much work as having a baby! Keep that in mind before you make your decision.
Weight Loss At 16 Should I Count calories or just eat healthy? Nov 30 2007

I think that if you are leading a healthy lifestyle, if you feel that you dont have any concerns, and if you are comfortable with your routine then... I wouldn't worry about anything.

Being aware that a healthy lifestyle is important means that you recognize and you are being responsible for your well being and that is GREAT!!

Personally, I wouldn't worry about how many calories you are taking in- in this case that doesn't seem to be worthwhile.

Go out and enjoy life but... continue to make healthy choices/decisions that will follow in the years to come! Good luck:)

Ok, so I couldnt fall asleep after all that I ate tonight, so... I just finished jumping rope for 2.5hrs while watching the movie "Hook". I hope that that burned off some of those calories, right??

With any luck it did and it won't put me at that much of a disadvantage come tomorrow. Its looking rough.

Thanks for your words of encouragement and support- I need it more than I think some days.

Hey jumping rope is a great exercise! I have gotten into the grove. I started out very clumsey but I have developed a skill (yes, there is a skill to jumping rope). I have built my endurance and can go for a LONG time now.

Its a great exercise for when you are traveling, when the weather is bad, or when you just have a few extra mins. I usually jump rope while watching TV or a movie- its a great distraction and I have found myself lost in the movie and jumping for the full 1.5hr many times.

I am not sure about the calories burn estimator on CC though, it seems pretty high. What do you other jump ropers think? Do you think that is reasonable or do you agree and think its a high estimate? Let me know!

I alternate, some skipping some jumping.

I dont really have much for a butt (at all), so buns of iron/steel aren't really a bonus for me, unfortunately:( lol

Thanks

Motivation Want to loose final 10 or so pounds before New Years? Nov 18 2007

I have a question for everyone related to "cheating" (in regards to food/diet)...

What qualifies as cheating for something speical and when does it turn into over eating? What are your limits when you are cheating? How do you know when its been enough? For a day of cheating is it a meal, a specific food, a days worth or a holidays worth (possibly many gatherings)?

My problem when I think of cheating is how do you get back on track? Because for me once I have been "derailed" I feel like I have failed and that its not worth trying to get things back, that my progress has already been lost. Does anyone else feel this way?

Give me some of your thoughts and feelings on "cheating".

VANILLIVI-26

I love being down here, but I do miss my family and my boyfriend (of 4yrs) so I am looking foward to heading home. I will return to the States on Dec. 4th- just a few weeks away. I am trying hard, even though I just started, to be healthier and in contorl of what I eat even though I know some of my options are not ideal, it should be better when I get back home.

I dont really have a routine yet... I am working on getting one. Any helpful hints?!

Weight Loss Advised To Stop Exercising In Order To Lose More??? Nov 18 2007

I find this discussion very interesting...

I find myself making excuses that I can eat more because I have excersied... which is true but only to an extent. And I think that I end up going overboard on calories when I am in that mind set.

I am new to this website and I am also going to try the new approach of watching my calories, keeping them lower, and not focusing on exercise.

I would like to keep in touch and see how everyone is progressing and see what kind of trends we can find/discover! Keep in touch!!

Although I find myself to be at a disadvantage for some things (being in the Dominican Republic) as far as food choices and such I do have one fairly large advantage come this month...

They don't celebrate Thanksgiving here!! So thats one obstacle that I can't use as an excuse;)

Is there any place that I can go with the measuments that I have/took and see what is has to say about my body/proportions and health?

I have them and now I want to know what they mean!! I know that in a month I can take them again and see the difference but I was wondering if there was some place that I could do some comparing now??

WOW!!

This is great!! I love you ideas:)

Now my next question... what/where should I be measuring?? How often?? um... what else should I know about seeing as this is not my normal apporch to tracking progress. I am used to relying on a scale with digital numbers.

Let me know your thoughts/suggestions!! And thanks again for your input!
