That article isn't very long or descriptive, but it can give you an idea, chicken isn't THAT much worse than pork.  Sometimes I tend to wonder about the accuracy of the grading system on here when it comes to a few things.

I feel your pain, My aunt flow arrived this morning as well :( .  It was so weird because I too was having major cravings for sweets.  To fight the cravings though, I walked on my treadmill for a half an hour and then went and ate a reasonable dinner, I think exercise helps, or I take a warm bath, whatever takes my mind off things, I think I have such craving because I'm stressed the way it is and then to tops things off having a period, I'm surprised all hell doesn't break loose yet, haha.

That is so funny, I do the exact same thing, i'm hooked on it ive had it just about every night for dinner, thats awesome that im not the only one that really likes that!

My problem fruit are bananas it seems like I can never have just one, and at 90 calories a pop they add up quick!

Hi mildrik, I was reading your story, and its very similar to mine.

My stats: 22 years old : 5'3 : HW 220 :CW 206 :LW 105

I have had a problem with being overweight since I can remember, and i was also having trouble with anorexia since 2nd grade (i know, sad).  Recently within the last year i have started purging too, which is awful.  My problem is, is I either go all in to the point of having an unhealthy lifestyle, or i let loose and binge everyday, its hard for me to find that happy median and stick to it, because i feel like I'm not putting a 100% into it.  I am in law school, and im training to be a police officer, and next year we go through a class called skills, basilcy a boot camp, where we run 6 miles a day ect.  And that really helped me make the choice that i have to be healthy, not just skinny, but also have to drop a ton of weight (at least 75 pounds) .  But having someone to talk to when the going gets tough or if you just need someone to talk to feel free to send me a message anytime, i know where your coming from.

I have the exact same problem! these products are calorie, carb, gluten, sugar, cholesterol and fat free...and i couldn't find the ingredients for these products anywhere...which is so weird!  I would love to hear what these products are made out of, if anyone knows!

I'm definitely in the same boat! To top it off my grandma was nice enough to send me a 5 pound box of cookies and chocolates in the mail a couple days ago (thanks grandma haha)  Unfortunetly my family has seen how much my weight has yo-yoed in the past years from 150 to 200 to 110 to 220 to 170 to a current weight of 203.  It seems like they don't even take it seriously anymore, and i think thats the hardest.   As for my friends they think im a prude or stuck up now because i don't want to just eat junk all the time, and more so because i don't drink anymore and usually turn down going to the bars (I cant even imagine taking in so many empty calories, and just the health factors alcohol induces) and they always give me crap and even have distanced themselves from me now.  But what i have concluded is that they must not be that great of friends if they cant stand by me through thick and thin.  My advice to you would be just to keep on being honest with them and what your goals are they can either accept it which makes them truly great friends or they can withdrawal from you which shows that they may not be the greatest of friends.  Hope that helps...sorry for the rant.

Kristinedaqueen- That info you shared from your nutritionist is SO helpful...I will definitely remember that when i start to plateau!  BTW your little girls are absolutely adorable, and congrats on your weight loss success!

I do the same, i live by the scale now.  I also pre-weigh snacks out.  but i weigh and measure Everything out (since its easy for me to add more then i need because it tastes good) so my scale really helps me stay on track.

I used to work at a warehouse from 4pm-4am, I had the same problem eat to keep me busy and to stay awake, after i started to eat healthier i found one thing that really helped me.  small portions!  i would bring in pre-made and measured out snacks and a lunch.  enough so i could munch on one every hour if i needed to, and since they were all measured out before hand i knew exactly how many calories i was taking in and i knew it was healthy.  I had to stay away from the vending machines too...but this saved me money too in the long run.  Hope that helps :)

Thats really good advice thank you, i too also love to cook, bake and sew....its really tough for me not to binge on the food that i cook or bake though...but I'm working on it!

  • Goal for January 1, 2008- 195
  • Goal for April 1, 2008-185
  • Goal for July 1, 2008 -175
  • Goal for October 1, 2008-165
  • Goal for January 1, 2009-155
  • Ultimate goal— 155lbs -must be no more than 50 pounds less than your current weight
I would ultimately like losing more then 50 lbs though more like 80 lbs....But 50lbs would be a wonderful start!

I live by aspartame haha, its really the only way i get something sweet in my mouth, and I'm addicted to diet coke and flavored water (crystal lights water bottle drop ins). The aspartame isn't going to hurt your weight loss plans just make sure theres no real sugars, and no sodium, sodium is huge, because the more sodium you intake the more water weight your body's going to hold onto.

**Personally i have never gained even an ounce from drinking beverages with aspartame, such as diet coke, and crystal light.** I am not also saying that its good for you either though.
