breakfast is the meal that starts your day, whether your day starts at 6:30 am, or 11:30 am. i read somewhere you should eat within an hour of waking up. so whenever you wake up; eat breakfast. if it makes you feel any better, you could call it brunch, early lunch, or whatever. |

the all-natural needs to be refigerated. but the other kind(s), can just chill in the cupboard or pantry. i love the all-natural stuff so much more than the other brands, but i hate how it gets so hard and unspreadable. |

the other day i bought this reeeeally low-cal bread; only to find it had no nutritional value whatsoever. it was some kind of sourdough bread bread; found in the health food section at my grocery store. it has 30 cals a slice, but 2 slices has 52% DV of sodium, and it has only 1g of protein and 0g fiber. sure, it's low-cal, but it's basically crap. and it is kinda sour. |

honestly; if you cut it out, you'll eventually get it again and the binge will be 10 times worse because you deprived yourself of it for so long. i wish i had suggestions for you, but i don't. i'm in the same boat. one hershey's kiss, and it turns into a bag. one 100 calorie pack turns into the whole box, plus a box of granola bars. |

well, i already started, i can't stop counting now; it's way too late for me. and i'm already getting better at not binging/not binging as bad. yesterday i only binged to 3000 instead of my usually 5000-6000. and today, i binged on 2 packs of gum. and i'm binging less often. |

i've upped my caloric intake to 1100 and there it shall stay; not because i want to eat more, but because i don't want to binge and i don't want my family to find out about all this. and i've basically given up on being vegetarian, but i will eat less meat than i did before. i think that's a fair compromise. |

i'm a binger and i know if i went to have 1 hershey's chocolate kiss i'd end up eating the whole bag plus a couple peanut butter sandwiches, icecream, oranges, etc. :S it really does suck. i'm fine at night, it's the weekends that get me. and i binged so much (5000 a day) that i gained like 3 lbs of pure fat in a weekend. i almost made it through a long weekend until today.. |

| Foods | Serving Size Question (Mathaholics Needed) | Dec 10 2007 04:15 (UTC) |

i didn't ask for support, and/or candy-coating. i'm merely saying that you manage to turn every thread asking a perfectly innocent question into picking at someone's diet. she asked about serving sizes; she didn't ask if you think she's obsessive about calorie counting. and like, i honestly couldn't care less about your diet or whatever, so get your nose out of mine. if you don't have an answer to the question posted; don't post. simple as that. |

i definetely do not want to be stuck in the binge cycle. i need to stop that completely. maybe if i get a calendar or something and check off the days i dont binge and try to go a month without binging, that'll help. |

| it really depends on your personality type. some can drink the occasional coke and be fine, but then you get those people with addictive personalities (like me); who have a can, and then can't stop and sooner than you know it you spend your whole week's allowance in 2 days on coke zero. :| | |||

ewwxroflzz: dieting the way everybody else does, doesn't work for me. i don't lose weight that way. this is the only way i see results, and quick ones. so i don't have to wait a long time before i can stop hating myself. zebby: as soon as i'm at my goal weight, i'll bring my calories back up. seriously, that's my plan and i plan to stick to it; no pun intended. and the only real problem i have is the fact that i binge like a pig and ruin all my hard work. |

if you're stuffed, you could always try eating calorie-dense foods like nuts, avocados, nut butters, and cooking with oil, etc. lots of healthy calories, for little volume. and of course, you could always try drinking your calories; fruit juices (watch amount), vegetable juice, milk, etc. good luck! i wish i could model. :( |

| Foods | Question about Bananas | Dec 10 2007 01:48 (UTC) |
6 |
i always wondered that too, and then it dawned on me: if a small banana with a peel is 54 grams, it would be like 10 grams without the peel, and there's no way a fruit has 72 calories for like 10 grams. the above paragraph of this post was confusing babble, but it makes sense to me. :) is all fruit on this site counted as unpeeled? and things like kidney beans and chicken breast; is the weight cooked or uncooked? |

ewwxroflzz: why? there's no need to. i'm going to stop binging, get down to my goal weight and then everything'll be fine. save your sympathy for people that actually HAVE problems; not me. (hopefully this post didn't sound rude, because i definetely did NOT mean for it to be that way) |

i was gonna get a counselor/dietician/nutritionist but my mom's busy with work right now, so she doesn't have time to look for one. plus she said she couldn't find one, and i really don't know where to look. and i am going to stop by restrict/binge cycles. i'm just gonna stick to the restriction. and i'll space it out so i get meals and snacks. :) |

| Weight Loss | How often should one weigh themselves? | Dec 10 2007 00:52 (UTC) |
6 |
same time, same place, once a week is how they recommend you track your weight loss/gain, or even maintenace. weighing yourself everyday can send you on emotional spirals, you can gain 3 lbs of food in a day, etc. and eventually it takes you over, and then you end up like who weighs myself after EVERY morsel that goes down my throat. i drink a glass of water, see the scale go up 8 ounces and think i gained 8 ounces of fat. it's a viscious cycle. |
