i dont know why I though this, but I always thought plyometrics was when you hold a weight out and try and keep your arm up as long as possible, does anyone know what that is called and what it's good for (ie slimming, toning, builing muscle)?

I went as The Incredible Hulk for Halloween. I just had purple shorts and painted myself green and went shirtless. I would have never done that two years ago. Luckily it wasn't cold yet.

I used to make a box of mac and cheese, open a can of tuna and a can of peas, mix 'em all in a punch bowl and eat that.

I rode that, "I'm not that bad" wave for a long time, and then one day I tried to see how fast I could run a mile, and couldn't even finish.  That's when I really turned it around.

I actually went 93 days straight to the gym, and when I started changing my diet, that's what made the pounds come off.

Now I am off the mentality "I might as well see how far I can take it."

i do equal parts, Fiber One/Total/Multi-Grain Cheerios. And than I sprinkler some chocolate whey on top, followed by frozen blue berries. And some times a banana.

Most nuts aren't actually nuts. Almonds botanically are considered fruit, and peanuts are legumes (like beans). But I mean you know, they're still nuts by anyone's standards.

I eat a cereal mix I make myself (Fiber One, Total, and Multi-Grain Cheerios) with skim milk, and than I mix some chocolate protein powder into that, and than slice some banana on top. Keeps me full for hours.

I love those ads, it's survival of the fittest in my opinion. If you are honestly dumb enough to believe them, than go ahead and eat all the HFCS you want.

I actually had a conversation with a women who totally believed them, and was like trying to argue with me that it's perfectly fine. So people like that do exist I assure you.

I made a brussel sprout omellete once. That got some looks.

Oh and I make a breakfast "Stack-o-Bowl" where I do cereal, chopped almonds and walnuts, cut up banana, and than frozen berries. Pour milk over it and just go to town. My roommates think I am weird for it, but I mean it's not so ridiculous in my opinion

And sometimes I eat frozen veggies, just frozen like some kind on subzero trailmix,

The ellipses followed by "Jerk" is too much, you're hilarious. And that guy was a jerk. People at gyms tend to get a little greedy and self serving, like it's all about them. I hate "in shape" people at gyms who are there maintaining rather than losing or toning. They're not down with the struggle.

Personally, I like pears better. They have that woody texture I really like. And they're not too sweet.

When I very first started I was working out with a friend, and this is back when I still had Chesticles (Manboobs, whatever you wanna call 'em).

We were just talking about how we needed to workout more, and and I said "Look at these things (grabbing my chest), like butter!"

Failing to realize I was talking over my iPod that obviously no one else could hear and these two girls were just staring at me with this appalled look on their faces.

I was eating my usual as I read this: I mash up a banana into paste, add a scoop of peanut butter and a dash of cocoa powder and stir untill well mix, than I cook the oats and just pour them right on top of that and mix until it is all blended.

I would say my body image is huge part of my self-esteem. But it has litle to do with what other people think of me. I dont mean to generalize, but I think women tend to care more about what others think of how they look. Dont get me wrong, I constantly want to improve and be the best I can be, but the only person i worry about how I look like in front of is the man in the mirror.

if you want beer go with Beck's Premium Light or Michelob Ultra, they both have less than 100 cals and around 5 carbs.

If you wanna get liquor go with a scotch and soda, manly and "healthy"

or straight bourbon, that's what I would drink. Low cals, no sugar, and it'll put some hair on your chest.

I used the weight vest, I think it worked well. Bought a 40 pounds one. Started at 20 lbs. and increased it 5 lbs. every two weeks.

HAHA. I love this post by the way. I swear I just had this exact conversation with my friend.

Back in high School, I was over weight and out of shape, but I didn't care and never thought about diet or excercise

And now, in college, I can't imagine eating how I used to, or going more than two days w/o hitting the gym.

I dont know, I can't say I am not happy with myself, but I just miss the days when i didn't care. It certainly hasn't changed any other aspect of my life.

I mean sincerely, I lost 50 pounds, and nothing has changed, I even look the same. Oh well.

I slice it into chips, lay it on a baking sheet and put some nutmeg on it, bake for 15 min at 400, flip and do another 15 min, maybe more nutmeg.

Though once I ate a raw unpeeled, uncooked sweet potato like an apple. It was like a giant carrot. but I'm weird.

I just poured some apple juice over raw oats and threw in a handful of cinnimon and baked it like granola. Came out and tasted like apple pie.

Next batch I through in some chopped almonds. I suppose you could through raisens or something like that in their too, but personally, I hate dried fruit.

I dont know what the cals or anything is, but considering the ingredients are oats and apple juice, it can't be too bad.
