Confusing times.

Here is my opinion:

Sorry love, I would say give him complete space.

Sounds like maybe he was thinking with his privates when you two were drunk. Even if he wasn't, even if he just chickened out as your other friend sugguested I would stay away. He must not be in a good place to start a relationship right now and if it carried on you would just end up getting even more hurt than your currently feeling.

It might be akward for a while, so if you can't carry on like normal just stay clear until your feeling a bit stronger. Don't break down in front of him and don't send him any emails, letters or any of that. After you have gained complete control of your emotions and you feel like confronting him, I'd say go for it. But not now. You won't be able to be as logical right now.

hope this helps. Sorry if it's not what you were hoping for.

I think you have to give yourself time to morn really. The death of that relationship.

It took me over almost 3 years to get over my first love, and by get over I mean move on from. I was even the one who broke up with him.

But I still have a love for him, even if things were pretty angry between us for a while after. Some things still remind me of him. Especially his smell. I have felt I smelled his sent maybe 3 times since we broke up (umm, 1997). It's usually when I pass through a heavily populated area and it's funny cause I always look for him. Even though I know it wouldn't be him.

I have been inlove since than, but it has always been different. And he's the one that has stayed in my mind the longest and strongest I guess. Even though I was really young, it still hurt me very bad. I think some of the memories/feelings I have is from that intense pain I suffered. It kind of changes you forever.

I use to drink my coffee with a little milk and a touch of sugar.

Then I got use to drinking it black in the mornings I would stay at my boyfriend’s house.

They never had anything in there fridge or cupboards. 3 Bachelor living together. They always ordered out for like every meal pretty much.

After a little while of drinking it black, I couldn't go back to having milk and sugar in it. It just tasted 2 sweet and creamy.

I do enjoy some bitter drinks I guess though. Love those IPA's :)

Vitacakes from vitalicous http://www.vitalicious.com/store-vitacakes.ht ml

You can order one online. They come in a week, or same week if you order before a certain day (East coast: Order by 2pm on Wed get it that Friday).

I love their chocolate brownies, muffins, and muffin tops. But haven't tried the cakes. I'm sure i would like them.

I sent my mom one of the cakes for her birthday. She and her husband enjoyed it. She's dieting and He could actually eat it cause it was low in sugar (He's has to watch his sugar intake hardcore).

Other then that. I would check out http://www.hungry-girl.com/ they have great low calorie recipes.

I also heared about the diet coke muffins, so maybe you can find one to make a cake.

Hope it helped

I would say try some shoes on in a store see what you like and then look on Amazon, or another website for a deal.

That's what i do usually with most things.

I got a good pair of New Balance to work out in for $35 on Amazon including shipping. In the store I tried them on, they were a lot more. I did go up a width size online though, because that’s what was on sale. I didn't really feel a difference though to tell you the truth.

I

would see a Nutritionist first and make sure your eating healthy and enough. Get some help from her. If nothing, then see a doctor, maybe you developed a thyroid condition or something else that would make you gain.

Other than that you can try getting a personal trainer. They can work with you and experiment and see what works for you.

You may want to see a doctor first though and let them know your situation. Tell them about the pills, and let them know you don't want to take them anymore.

Sorry I could be of more help.

You shouldn't gain anything unless it happens a lot. 3500 -extra calories before gaining 1lb.

Based on what you wrote above your only at 500-700 over, so you shouldn’t gain anything. I'm sure it will equal out at the end of the week if you continue to do better.

Don't sweet it.

I would monitor a suggested maintenance of 1500 calories, sounds a bit off. I'm bet your more in the 1700 - 1800 area (not basing that on anything other than a maintenance of 1500 seems low for most humans).

If you find you start to lose more weight eating 1500-1700 than you did eating the 1200-1300 a day, I would take that as a sign that you weren't eating enough before.

Thank you. This is great advise.

I am currently looking up Rheumatoid Arthritis to get a better understanding in general and I told my boyfriend (when he kept texting me) if I was being insensitive to his condition he should try to educate me better on it.

I also told him I wanted to talk in full scale at home, in person, so nothing I texted him would get taken the wrong way.

My dad quite 3 years ago (after smoking 2 packs a day for like 20 years). He used the  Lozenges, but he's still on them.

I quit cold turkey in Oct of 07 after 11 years of smoking (I started when I was 15-16 too). But having sugar free gum around helped a lot.

My advice is, you have to really, really want it and be ready to quit.

Know, you can never be a "social smoker" (1 cigarette at the bar or at a party will just put you right back to day 1), physical addiction only last about 2-3 weeks but mental addiction can last a life time, but it will get easier over time.

Your doing it! Stay with it and Good luck!

So should I go back down to Sedentary and add in my exercise like normal?

I am tend to be a little naughty on the weekend too! That's when I take a day off usually.

I like your idea of a reward. I think it should be if we all make the cut, we all get the prize!

My ideal calorie intake of between 1400-1700, and then I try to work out to make a calorie out of 300-500. Well this is want to do again.

I will be your buddy.

I am in my late 20's (29 in may), 5'5 157ish and would like to lose 22lbs. I just got back into exercising regularly, but have been eating over my calorie goal consistently lately.

I lost 30+ lbs in the last year, but haven't lost anything in the past 4 months or so.

I need a buddy to get motivated as well.

Thank you. Very helpful!

I like cardio DVDs, but was looking for something that involved more strength training/weight lifting.

I would like to add in strength training a couple days a week to my regular exercise program. I've just had a hard time getting started.

I might start with the "Kathy Smith - Timesaver - Lift Weights to Lose Weight", but I will definitely check into Cathe Friedrich's DVDs as melkor suggested also.

Thanks for replying everyone!

I was feeling a little on my own yesterday, but I feel more confident in my strategy now!

If your "not willing to do it." than no one can help you but yourself.

You said yourself, you know what you need to do. So get off your ass and do it!

It's hard to get into a new routine. it will get easier after the second week. You need to astablish how many days you will make yourself work out. Write it on the calendar or post sticky notes around saying that you need to exercise.

In the end, you just got to do it. It doesn't matter that you hate it. We all hate it at first. Some of us have always and will always hate it. But if your serious enough about it, than you got to suck it up and get to it.

The Lounge Ever wonder what happens when you forget about an egg boiling on the stove? Jan 08 2009
19:21 (UTC)
11

I did this before, except it was three eggs and I left it burning to go up to the third floor to do home work.

2 hrs later I started to smell burning hair and flesh (what I would assume it would smell like together). I went down stairs and there was pieces of egg all over the kitchen where 1 or 2 exploded. I mean everywhere, the ceiling, behind the trash can...

The half of the 1 that was left in the pan was bubbling in a tiny bit of black liquid. The smell lasted for days. My room-mates weren’t so happy to come home to a smell like that and even less thrilled that I left something burning like that.

Sucks.

I've had them. they ar very low in calories. They are moist, soft, a little slimy noodles. Really good in soup! Taste like campbells Chicken noodle soups noodles (caned).

The only place i can find them around here is Whole Foods stores.

I haven't tried them in many other things. Hungry girl raves about them. A great site for low calorie food item finds and recipe swops.

They taste great and are packed with vitamins. forgot to tell you they are only 100 calories and a good size.

I love the chocolate, the banana nut is ok and the corn muffins are good.

The banana was just revamped so is probably a lot better now. I didn't care for the other fruit muffins.

2008 has been good. I am healthier then I've been in a long time and managed to lose a lot of weight. I started here in December at 193 lbs. I had exploded gaining rapidly for the past 2 years prior and am finally back down to 155 give or take a lb or two from week to week.

I am 28 and have had my ups and downs my entire life.

I lost a total of 38lbs! I lost about 25 or those lbs in the first 6 months and have lost the last 10 a lot slower. I have been maintaining for the most part since June.

My ultimate goal was 135 (which I hope to achieve in 2009). But I'm really happy with what I achieved thus far, and I think my skin probably needs this time to catch up with the fat loss anyways.

I like Emergen-C.

It's a vitamin powder pack found on a shelf by the vitamins. They come in different flavors, but orange, tangerine, and tropical are my favorite. (The Berry or Raspberry one is pretty bad.) My boyfriend loves the cranberry. Great for on the go, just pour it in a bottle of water and shake. I keep some in my desk at work.

It has tons of vitamins and gives me a good energy boost. It's got between 20-25 calories. You mix it with water and it gives it a little carbonated fizz... it does have 60mg of sodium, but besides that it is packed with vitamins. Great for on the go, just pour it in a bottle of water and shake. I keep some in my desk at work.

Health & Support tobacco question Aug 25 2008
22:13 (UTC)

I use to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day for over 11years, and I finally quite for good-this time-as of last October.

BUT, I still indulge in the hookah every once in a while.

Some people think this is cheating, and maybe it is, but I don't smoke every-day, or even every week now. I will always be addicted to cigarettes, but as long as you have control over it and don't start increasing your indulgence due to cravings I'm sure you'll be fine. (But it is bad for us.)

Motivation getting depressed .. what is goin on w/ my body? Jun 18 2008
18:37 (UTC)

I was in a plateau for almost three months... so i feel your pain.

I just started loosing again. I lost 25ish pounds and then weight wouldn't budge. I worked hard for two months and then slacked off on exercise and being as strict with my food intake. I didn't gain any weight. After almost a month of slacking off I decided to give it my all again, and sure enough the weight started comming off again. But slower then before. I lost about 6lbs so far.

I was loosing 2lbs a week, now I'm at 1lb to 1.3lbs a week. Still fine with me. I weigh 161lbs now. I would say just try different things for a couple weeks and see what happens. Try exercising more and keep your food intake the same.

For me, really i think it was just waiting it out... but who knows maybe it was the shock of quiting my exercise routine and then starting again in full force?? Your guess is as good as mine. One things for sure, you will start to loose again, it just may take more time.
