oh my god that was awful...i hated that book with such a passion.

i'm 5' even, and i currently weigh 160ish lbs (I won't step on a scale right now, as that will lead to weeping, i'm sure) i was happiest at 117 lbs, that was about 5 years ago or so. my waist is between 30-32 (also not measuring), i hate that people always say "but you're so small" no, honey, i'm short, not small, i dress well to hide it, but it's there! my 42" hips and my thunder thighs are there under my cute long skirts (thank god that skirts are 'in' they hide big thighs so much better!) my goal weight is to see 117lbs again, and perhaps keep going, we'll see when/if i get there...

doritos

i cannot buy a bag without it mysteriously dissapearing within hours (and that's the family size bag)...i really think they may be the reason i weigh about 50 lbs more than i would like to...maybe i will try and give them up for a few days and see what happens

ok, i don't know if i can do that! Sealed

...amasingly supportive Alex catches. If I send him out on a candy run, he always checks the label and brings back something decent in calories. For the longest time he wouldn't buy me a Twix because he thought it was 260 or whatever calories PER cookie. I eventually pointed out to him that it was for both of 'em.

oh my god! you have like, the best boyfriend ever!Smile you hang on to that! (although i know you are)

the best my boy can do is be-grudgningly bring me a bag of doritos around 'that time of the month' and remind me that i shouldn't be eating them as i dive in...but what can we say, i'm the dominant one *shrug*

although he does go out of his way to find new 'good' foods for me a wal*mart (where he works), like quakes rice cakes and easy mac (high in sodium, but only 220 cals, and a nice warm lunch sometimes just hits the spot) so it's not all bad,

i was just thinking how amazingly sweet of him! good catch!Smile

Original Post by lynnlette:

I think one of my main reasons for wanting to lose is that it's important to me all my boyfriend's male friends be jealous. >.> That probably makes me a bad person, but it's true.

if that makes you a bad person, then i am too! i really want them to look at me and think--"wow, what is that hott girl doing with him. he must be doing something right" it's so childish and stupid and petty, but i want it! i want the jelously...they want it but can't have it...it makes me feel hott, ya know? is that really so wrong?

ok, maybe it is, too bad!

Weight Loss I hope this helps those wondering about the BMR thing. Feb 03 2008

so, that site says my BMR is: 1473.05 cals

but this site says I should eat 1250 a day...i am so confused!

i am 5 foot tall, 147 pounds, and i was loosing good at 1200 cals or so till about 12 days ago when i just stalled! which has been SUPER FRUSTRATING for me, as i'm sure you can imagine (as i'm sure it would be for anyone!)

i am down from 165 lbs. to 147lbs. ...and i started this thing, i'd say around thanksgiving. everything was going so well till just these past two weeks...

maybe this BMR thing is the problem? i tried a few 'free days' to jump-start it, and that hasn't seemed to work that well...should i be eating more? like in the 1400 cal range? that seems like ALOT to me...? (mind you, i am only 5 foot tall, with a small frame, and my goal is 110-105) what do i do to get it going again!? i am so stressed over this! Cry

any help is wonderfully appreciated!

...There are exceptions to this but they involve being under 5' with a slender build or being under the care of a doctor or nutritionist...

wait! i thought 1200 was a hard number...like "don't go under this or else!!" kinda thing...

i'm 5' tall, (no inches, some days more like 4' 11.5", depending on who measures) and i have a small frame (well, under the pudge that my dorito addiciton has gifted me with) so are you saying i could actually eat a little under 1200 and be ok?

sorry this has nothing to do with the original post, i just never heard there may be an exception to this 1200 rule, i lost well on about 1000-1100, maybe a little more calories a day, and then i heard (here, on CC) that it was bad to go under 1200, so i upped it, and now i'm loosing very slowly or not at all...

thank you for any input you can offer me as to this! thanks!

Well, the movies, dinner scenario sounds a little sketchy to me...i’m glad it worked out for you, though!
I think sometimes guys just don’t see that what they are doing can be so very wrong, like, if they know they have no bad intentions, you must know too, right?
Apparently girlfriend = mind reader
LoL

i’ll talk to him about it when i get home (i’m at work now) and hopefully it will all work out...
All i really want him to do is apologize...what do you think my chances are of that happening?
LOL! (Basically, he doesn’t think he did anything wrong, so there will be almost no chance of apology)

P.s. i love him, really i do. He is the best man i have ever been with in almost every way, usually very sensitive, very cuddly, very supportive (including my losing weight, although he assures me he likes the way i look now, and will like the way i look at any weight i choose to be at), he loves and accepts my family, his family likes me, in almost every way we are just wonderful together. Just with this one thing i have an issue...this girl...

Hm...you bring up a good point, perhaps he was trying to prove that i have nothing to worry about...which wouldn’t be so bad, just one uncomfortable day, but his heart was in the right place...i’ll ask him...Thank You!

OH MY GOD! that happens to me too! the thing where you wear skirts or shorts and your legs rub together and you get that rash-thing and it hurts SO BAD!

so, that's one of my reasons, but by far not the only or even weirdest one

i was an exotic dancer for about 4 years. i've been gone from that industry for about a year and a half, and i REALLY want to be back in it (i know, i'm crazy, but i just love the attention, the money, THE DANCING! i love to dance, to feel the music with your whole being and just go with it. i know, it's weird) but i don't feel the place i want to work at would hire me at this weight. (160ish, 5' tall). so i want to loose weight to pursue that part-time.

another odd reason i have is competition with my sisters. my little sister is 17 (i’m 23), taller than me, and weighs in at about 120. Grrr.

oh, and i want to be able to have sex on top. now, it's just uncomfortable, all the fat-ness bouncing around where he can see it...i know, i know, he dosen't care, he still wants to have sex with you---bla bla bla---it bothers me intensely.

Cheek bones. i used to have these amazing, high cheekbones. now you can't see them because of my chipmunk cheeks. i also photographed better.

mini-skirts. as is, my butt is so big, it makes them ride up alot in the back, so even if they are long enough in the front, they are obsene from the back.

Silent Bob (not Kevin Smith, but only his Silent Bob character) -- i think it has something to do with his being constantly quiet, a trait i find rare and attractive in men. lol.

Rikku (from Final Fantasy X and X-2) -- yes, a video game character, i have problems.

Edward Elric (from Full Metal Alchemist) -- by far not the only anime crush i have, but the one that first springs to mind, i told you i have problems! Tongue out

side-note: i just joined CC the other day, and i've been hanging around the boards, but this is my first post (it looked like fun).

Edit to add more:

James from Pokemon, Team Rocket...(Sealedplease don't mock me)

Shane from the L Word--ok, not too weird, but weird that my boyfriend also crushes on her.

Chandler from Friends...yes, the dorky one...i love the funny guys!

if i think of anymore i'll add them. this is fun!
